Dunno about the mouth, it seems a bit wierd to me. What I think the problem is is that the corners of the mouth seem a bit too sharp but that's just my opinoin.

Aaaarrrrrrggggghhhh!!!!! :XD: Why is everyone posting in bright, eye-wrenching colors so much recently (I blame Fortress2000 :wink:) Yes, you need a border. Also, as phooey and sworddude said, the background doesn't match the render. The pink in the background is right out and the style of the crosshatching just doesn't match Master Chief or the entire mood of Halo. Overall, I think it's too bright and the BG doesn't match.

I like them but I'm more of a fan of Renaissance style art which this is simlar to but not quite. The mainstay of Renaissance art, especially in Northern Europe, was scrupulous attention to detail (letting my history nerdness out a bit here :wink:). From the way you've done them I feel like you put a lot of detail into the pictures but the blurred them with a layer/brush (don't ask me I only use MS Paint). I'm not saying it's bad, just my personal taste. Extremely well done though. Good job =D>

To guide you need to guide. I assume that to teach you need mastery in the knowledge of what you are teaching. Here it just looks like you are going 'Here are a bunch of pictures, it's obvious how to replicate the style'. I think it would be better if you posted step-by-step picture of how you can get from a basic blank canvas to such textures as grass, and the other textures you zoomed in on.

NOt only are lots of people who post on this forum not artists but lots of the time, especially with WIPs, there isn't really that much to c/c at a given point in time. Enjoy the praise, respect the c/c, and question the "my eyes hurt" posts unless they offer anything else. By even posting this you're only reaching the people who actually give c/c in this forum anyways so you're not really solving the problem. :?

Took me a bit to figure it out but not hard. You take the number of the letter, divide by 3, round, then add 1.

Ok, one, I personally find that slightly offensive. Not that I don't enjoy the idea of it......... :oops: Anyways, I don't think it has a place on these forums and I'd reccommend you take it off in case a mod finds it a bit too controversial. On the topic of your piece, I feel that black and white would suit it better than green and white. The lines on the woman are also very messy. I'm too lazy to post a picture so look at this done by Terley:

Guys, cmon, you've completely hijacked and spammed his thread. :shame: Now, D2K. I know very little about graphic sigs so you'll have to take my opinion with a grain of salt. Personally, it's simple but not badly done, you didn't overreach your abilities here. You still need to add a border to your piece and the text, as said before doesn't fit. Try making the text colors closer to the shades in the BG so that it doesn't stand out so much.

Err, just a tip, but if you want to see some amazing pixelage ( :lol: ) try to find one of Mr Xman's posts. In his sig there is an amazing pixel piece, and also a link to his gallery. Which is just plain overwhelmingly stunning. But ya, homer's sig is (being about StarCraft, and the shading) is great. Yeah, mine is good but nowhere near great. Besides, it's a smallified (yes, that's a word now) version of a full piece; I cut off the bad looking parts of it. :wink:
