concentrated ores familiar?
Personally, I believe the lava titan to be the best familar for concentrated ores. Given how close the deposit box is to the mining area, a BOB loses some benefit, though a Yak could very well be worthy as double the inventory may rule out +7 mining (I think that's the titans' bonus). As for healing, if you're computer/internet is capable of using W84 for LRC mining, then you'll find that there are so many players that virtually no damage will be taken.

D pick in limbo...
If you two live in the same household it might be best just to lend it for short amounts of time, as it is likely you could lend it once again without much trouble.

Game Update Delay
I honestly wouldn't mind a month with 0 updates where Jagex was working on their updates, but would now be a month ahead of schedule from there on out. They would have their updates for the next month completed and polished before even letting the public know what to expect. They could then implement their updates accordingly while working on the next months without the stress of having to release it for that particular month. The only problem with this is they seem like the company that might have the mentality that "Ohh we're ahead a month, we can afford to hold back this update" which would get them back to square one. I completely understand there being unplanned setbacks, but as said earlier, with the BTS they should include some small text at the bottom just saying "This is what we hope to accomplish for this month. These updates may or may not occur, dependant on available time and potential setbacks. Have a great month!" Nothing wrong with covering their asses from hormonal teenagers. Hell, I think they do a great job with regular updates. I also love reading the BTS. The only bothersome thing is feeling they have set a deadline, and even going to sleep earlier so I can meet the update before work, only to find it will not occur that day. Although, that is partially my fault for not reading between the lines at times, and expecting what can not always be delivered.

Game Update Delay
Posted by: Mod Emilee (Quick find code: 16-17-216-61384753) Thoughts and feelings? Well, I guess it's not this week. Personally, I wanted it next week so it'd occur during my days off from work.

Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!
Well about 40 minutes ago when Mod Emilee renamed the "No Update Today" thread to "The Waiting Room" she said she'd have some info within an hour. This was on Page 124 of that thread in the "Future Updates" forum, if anyone is curious. Quick find code: 16-17-574-61378985

A long lost soul
Bizarrely.. they're all still here. Well, the closest friends still are. It makes me wonder, what happens to those people that I delete from my friend list.. How do they feel? When I turn private chat to public suddenly a flood of forgotten names says "Welcome back", yet at times when I have taken a break from Runescape, I have never spoken to these people. Although, I do have some of my best Runescape friends added on MSN, so even if they or I quit we can still chat amongst ourselves as though nothing has changed. :^_^:

Spears don't work with new rings?
Slightly off-topic, but should I bind a Celestial Catalytic Staff in place of my Ninja Hood (sorry I forget its real name)? It gives a 30% magic boost, which means fire surge could hit near 600's with the new rings. It has my interest, but I felt I should ask the opinions of others first.

I hope those Meerkats are pets and not one of the new summoning familars that come with elite clues.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
chaotic rapier. its pretty much equally accurate, and hits virtually the same, and its just faster. Of course, once you get extremes and 95 prayer, chaotic rapier will actually be worse than rapier at just about everything except sara gwd, and even then, team verac'ing is much better. For now, get rapier, as its pretty much almost as good as long, and once you hit your prayer/herby goals, it will clearly outshine long. Chaotic longsword will be worse than chaotic rapier? Just trying to verify, as I am starting to hunker down in dungeoneering. I don't want to get owned by a typo.

Bonus XP Weekend Question
After the last bonus experience weekend I seem to remember a J-mod mentioning that the next one may not include the same skills within it (such as potentially removing Herblore from the running). The problem is I can't be 100% sure that I read this, or if someone just told me that a J-mod said that and I hadn't confirmed it. If anyone can confirm this it would be greatly appreciated. Obviously if it was said it was somewhere on the RSOF, which is a mine field to navigate in hopes of finding such information. Thanks in advance.

Fastest Dungeon?
Ninja hood is for ninja skillers. Aka shadow silk hood. :shades:

What's With This Crash?
Yeah, about 36 hours ago was the time to buy your stuff back that you sold before the drop. As for the double xp weekend, I hope Jagex doesn't announce it a week ahead of time this round.

The Truth about Ranarr Spawn and Jagexs Great Conspiracy
This is why I've been investing hundreds of mill into kwuarm potions (unf).

Spears don't work with new rings?
It's great for rushing the first 20-25 floors. Just the same, in team games (at least the ones I play with high total lvl players) you get so many ore spawns that you can easy smith a full set of armour. It's also nice to be able to ninja a decent number of rooms to collect keys, resources, and the like. I'm just currently concerned as to which weapon is now the weapon of choice. Prom spear (p++), Prom 2h, Primal rapier.

Spears don't work with new rings?
So would a primal rapier + shadow hood, promethium 2h + sh, or promethium spear (p++) + sh be best now?

Live Developer Q&A
I rather dislike the Q&A's that are limited to specific categories, such as quests. Hopefully somebody enjoys it.

The Truth about Ranarr Spawn and Jagexs Great Conspiracy
Actually, atm on w7 there is no one to compete with and they spawn FAST, im timimg how long it takes per load at 62.5k per load I smell a limp crash. Yea, sometimes its free, sometimes its not, im getting a good 300K an hour without too much trouble. Though its definately catching on, and limps just crashed by 100+ GP, 2 days in a row. I'm glad i managed to liquidate my limps before it went downhill :D Heres hoping strength pots crash, hard. Too many people training herblore for the potion itself to crash. The herb will simply rise if the 2ndary item falls in order to keep an average gp/xp.

19-Jul-2010 - Dungeoneering Update
Ok.. so based on the limpwurt spawns and the crazy blue dragonscale spawn, would it be a time to buy kwuarm (unf) and potentially lantadyme (unf) up?

Bone burying speed, or PC for pray (see post6)
Even at 25,000 prayer xp per hour, with prayer being worth less than 24gp/xp currently, you'd only be saving 600k per hour. If you make under 600k/hr then it would be worthy at that level point, provided you did get as many games/hr as described, and all wins. However, it should be no trouble making well over 600k/hr, so this method would be more time spent than if you made the cash, bought the bones, and sacrificed the bones.

prayer or herblore cape
Don't even get herb up to 95 or 96. It's no trouble coming by greenman's ale, or a stew boost for overloads. No sense throwing cash into a useless abyssmal pit of xp when you could better use it elsewhere.

Regular Prayers VS Curse Prayers
Reflection of damage does not justify the loss of piety, provided you do use piety while on your regular prayer book. Stick to regular until your prayer level is that of which that can use turmoil (provided you currently use piety), or within niche situations which the curse book could be of use, such as particular bosses.

Getting money
Well, Dk's and Tds are better average cash solo'ing than green dragons if you have them unlocked. They obviously have some risk and require you to pay attention to the screen, but risk vs reward. Haha I also like how you said "rape" the benefits as opposed to "reap" that was worthy of a laugh.

Getting money
What's your Runescape username, or all of your stats? You could simply camp green dragons for 1m+/hr or similar monsters. Sure, it isn't a huge sum of cash all at once, but generally those monsters with large drops average to around 1m/hr or slightly lower/higher dependant on the monster and time spent. At least with green dragons or a similar boring monster the cash is guaranteed and the risk is very low. EDIT: Hell, if you make 800k/hr profit runecrafting go with that. It's guaranteed money with no risk, and you're training a rather sought-after stat. Also, it's worth my mentioning that most high level gear is currently falling in worth, and has been doing so for the past week or two. It would actually be an ideal time to make some cash and get what you need. Although, those high level armours aren't really worth their price tag if your cash is limited.

Strength is highly overvalued
Based on what I've seen over the years, strength bonus is mainly valued for powertraining, and that is done on low defence monsters, where accuracy isn't a huge deal. I do however agree about accuracy being important. I was one of those players that always wore a warrior ring on slayer tasks and the like.
