  1. Guthans is definitely worth it for most slayer tasks. Of course it probably isn't too smart to take it vs. tasks when you can't wear the full set (most slayer monsters & dragons), or tasks that use magic based attacks, such as Bloodvelds or Jellies. With a Dharok combo Guthans can be very effective vs. most tasks. Fire giants especially. Also, using high defensive or offensive armour for training and Guthans for only healing could prove effective if you are low on cash for repairs.
  2. Considering the fact that a very large number of players will be downloading the information at the same time, and that a reasonably large number of players use older computers or slower internet connections, I am pleased with a 2-part update. Yes, they very well could be doing this just so we have a taste of the skill, and to keep the wolves at bay, but that is likely not the main reason. So much new information being introduced at the same time means the possibility of players finding bugs. Would you rather handle 1/2 the number of bugs over the course of a month, or everything at once, get over-loaded, and have players breathing down your necks yet again. I think more thought went into a 2-part update then what most people think.
  3. Here are a few ideas. I ranged Moss Giants until 78, and then mainly Fire Giants at the Waterfall from there on out. -Ogres at the King Lathas training grounds. -Fire Giants at the Waterfall -Moss Giants at the Varrock Sewers, Fishing Guild, Moss Giant Island, Crandor, Lunar Island (somewhere in that area)
  4. Generally is it a very versatile and great weapon. I love using it for slayer. Not only do the specs regularly hit large amounts of damage, but accompanied with a black mask and it destroys most slayer tasks you can throw at it. It is especially useful for tasks with safespots. (Troll Generals are one of my favs). It is also good for selective training, especially if you can afford barrows armour or food to melee out in the open. I trained with the d-hally from 97-99 str at the fire giants in the Waterfall, and averaged 1k+xp per minute (str potted quite often). Enjoy it, and check a safespots guide for more ideas. :
  5. "Mom/Dad, do you think I could become a member to an online game called Runescape. It only costs $_ per month, and I get the full benefit of the game. The free version is too limited, and I would like to have fun. Just think, a console game costs $50-70 and would be lucky to keep me from becoming bored for a month. This would only cost $_ per month, and I wouldn't nearly become bored with all the added features." Proceed to talk about the game at future times, drop hints, etc..
  6. I would suggest at least 80+ range and emmy (e) bolts with a Rune x-bow. The higher the range the better. Best to read a guide before attempting. :
  7. Speak for yourself. I already know. Nice pics to everyone. TIF definitely has some good looking people. I suppose that is why we are such a positive community. : As to those whining about people commenting on photos: 1) The poster can not control whether or not they get comments unless they don't post a picture, which would not be fair. 2) Don't flame someone for getting attention. The colour green does not suit most people, take your envy and jealousy elsewhere. 3) Let people enjoy themselves. It might get a bit messy, but it can always be cleaned up later. Let the posters live in the moment. I doubt most would mind if a spammy reply was removed in a weeks time to tidy up the topic.
  8. Actually, I believe the Varrock East Mine is just a bit closer than the west. Although, if F2P is similar to a year ago, that mine is often crowded. Meaning the West would most likely be a better choice, even though it is further from a bank.
  9. I've done it a dozen times, and quite lately as well. You use the shrug emote at the chaos altar (head north from Varrock East Wildy). A double agent will appear, you kill him, and use the emote again. Also, I advise you use your melee protect and offensive prayer when fighting him (you can recharge conveniently at the altar). Be sure the listed items are equipped when you use the emote. - Iron Pl8 - Rune Legs - Blue Dhide Vambs Good luck with the fight and the reward. : EDIT: By chaos altar, I mean the eastern altar with prayer. Not the runecrafting altar. I can see how that could me misinterptreted.
  10. I would definitely have to go with the Clan Chat and the Grand Exchange. Clan Chat- It gives the ability to talk to a large number of interesting people at one time. You can more easily help other players, or recieve answers to your own questions. A nice update for the social Scapers. Grand Exchange- An update I wasn't too keen on at first, but have come to love. I can easily sell or buy whatever I wish. I recently sold 218 of my rune scimmy's at 21k each in around 5 minutes. That is something I could never have done with the old trading method, or even with various forum topics for that matter. I love the simplicity and speed.
  11. Nice find. I don't leave training too much, so I never noticed it. Not an ideal spot, but now I know if I am in need, and in the area. :
  12. Heh, nice. I need one of those. Master Chief.
  13. Ok, first off I would like to state that I am 17 years old. Some people thought I was in my twenties, so I figured it'd be best for my to make that clear. I live on a farm in Canada, as you can see from the pictures. A repost of my pictures. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll be adding more over time, but this is what I have so far. The first 4 oddly don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t show my face. We̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll have to fix that. If you like I can get some more pictures of my truck after I finish working on it. I recently replaced the transmission, bought new tires, replaced the passenger side fuel tank, and am now replacing the brake calipers. It will be golden by spring. I̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll try to get some winter pictures in though. The autumn pics with red maple leafs are to die for though. Also, if you would like more pics around the farm I could get some, or pictures of the seasons and wildlife. I know that some people aren̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t as privileged to live in such beautiful places, and would like them. First up. Here is me and my hot truck. First day back to school, sometime in September. Here is a picture of me from early spring, welding the 3-pt hitch attachment for our bale fork. Here is one of me baling a field of ours during the summer. Here is one of my favourite pictures. It's about 2 years old. I am replacing our Canada flag with a new one. This was the day I woke up and found out I was keylogged out of 20M, and decided to get mems. As you may know, I didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t have any pictures with my face in them. I recently played a little dare game with a few girls I know, and have some pictures. Sorry for the brief nudity, but you must see my face. Just be happy I didn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t post any of the further dares. Also, no, I will not post the pics that I dared them. Just some picture. Must have been listening to music. Part 1 of the dares, showing some skin
  14. I'll give it a try for fun. Good luck everyone, let's make us a great slogan. :
  15. Flesh Crawlers - faster xp Mossies - Stackable drops, alchable drops, big bones I prefer moss giants, but to answer your question, Flesh Crawlers are fast xp.
  16. I would think that Dharoking Ape Atoll guards beside the altar with piety and a protection prayer would be the fastest (take an antipoison for the spiders). Personally, from 97-99 strength I D-hallied fire giants in the waterfall. It was fun, and since I am 45 defence I couldn't benefit from Dharoks.
  17. I would choose either prayer or ranged. Splitting the two will most likely not get you too far. I would suggest prayer since chinchompas are best suited for 85-90 range to be worth their cost. :
  18. Drops worth over 3k no longer appear. Also, you can not trade items to another account in which it will profit a range of 3-30k over the course of 15 minutes.
  19. Considering the fact that you didn't password scam, any appeal should generally work. I hope that the error is recognized and your penalty removed.
  20. Why not simply try burying at the Grand Exchange rather than within a bank if you want the random?
  21. I believe if you remove the pendant they will once again become aggressive. As for avansie killing, I believe that "her" method is much more effective than training within the encampment. Generally all you do is range pray and drink prayer potions, pick up your drops, and bank when needed.
  22. You could do Regecide if you got the requirements, or exceeded them. They are requirements for a reason. : All of your training/goals would most likely take months. Yes, you can d-hally fire giants, I did it from 97-99 strength. I wouldn't suggest using chinchompas though. Iron knives are a much cheaper alternative, and are still effective. Fire bolting iron/steel dragons is a common and fun way to train magic. It can just be a little costly, even though a single drop could pay for it all. I generally like your training ideas. You've been a member before I take it? If not, you were smart in doing your research before getting members. Time is money. :XD:
  23. Dexek replied to IeatWindex's topic in Help and Advice
I just used prayer as an example because it is said to require recharging at obelisks much like prayer requires recharging at altars. : Also, how do you get a message to say "purepure4774 wrote" rather than "quote"?
  24. I'm not too sure, but I believe that they are always aggressive unless you're wearing the appropriate equipment. The thing is, they are almost always fighting with eachother, so it can't generally be used the same way Giant Spiders or Bandits are (for afk'ing) if that is what you were getting to.
  25. Dexek replied to IeatWindex's topic in Help and Advice
Well, considering that it is a skill that affects the overall combat level, the rumors I've heard, and acclaimed J-Mod statements, it will be a F2P skill, although very limited. Most likely similar to the limits of prayer on F2P, maybe even more-so.
