POLL: What are your thoughts on the current Dungeoneering Rewards?
Even after the update to prices too many still feel too unachievable. the integration of other skills with dungeoneering is far too one way (i.e. dungeoneering using the other skills but very little in reverse).

dungeoneering preferences
sorry, i should have been clearer - getting experience slowly.

dungeoneering preferences
Hi, i'm soloing dungeoneering and so far only managed to get to lvl 17 or so - it feels very slow and not sure what i'm doing wrong. Would be interested to get advice on what complexity level people choose to do (i've been defaulting to 6) and whether people prefer to do all the rooms or just get through each lvl as quickly as possible... Thanks!

Egg-streme Management (Easter 2010)
Full kudos to the one getting it in 7 turns - i've not been able to beat 8 yet! Rabbit ears don't look great but I must say i enjoyed and nice touch to have the summonable squirrels. Not too challenging on the whole but enough there to at least think about and the management game was an interesting new step too. It's just a shame MTK isn't such a straight resource fest or it could have had a little more enjoyment linked in to it a la this...

Best Ways to get Cooking And Fishing to 99
i'd recommend the Varrock achievement diaries for cooking - once you have access to the bank in the cooking guild it's probably the closest bank to cooking point in the game.

Prayer or Herblore
for boss hunting prayer - things like leech def really help. If you're slaying then go for herblore.

15-Mar-10 Lumbridge Catacombs & The Blood Pact
this one cheered me up! Nice little quest imo - very smart to put in place the combat triangle tutorial and nice little mini-dungeon for newbies - feels like lummy needed something like this. Question for those more aware than I: is the mask meant to do something or just there to look good? Seems a bit of a waste to me if it's just for looks... With only Nomad to defeat for 300qp, I guess this is going to kick me into action to properly take him on...something i have been rather loath to do but no time like the present.

What levels have you gained so far??
there was I saving up my charms from bork for a go at summoning when along comes the bonus xp weekend and before I know it I've got enough charms for not just 88 summoning (i was 85) but somehow it managed to push me up to the dizzy heights of 91 summoning...all feels a bit of a shock to be honest. It has saved me at least a year in terms of time to gradually inch my way up to 88 summoning and suddenly given me sight of the promised land that is pack yaks...! I'm definitely going to start saving up my charms again - this all worked out rather nicely.

Penguin Points
If you're referring to runecrafting, runecrafting is faster than slayer, a consistent 55k/hour at 99, maybe 50k/hour at 90. Presumably Zaaps1 is referring to farming where you're time constrained...can only get so much xp per day. Back on topic, I'd go for herblore. Slayer 99 would be spectacular but get your herblore up and you'll get to 99 slayer even faster :)

07-Oct-2009 - High-level Herblore Potions
This feels like one of the best thought through updates I can remember - really, really impressed to see the way they've made it worth training.

Skills or Wealth Getting Rewards
sorry - I should have added: and they should definitely do this for smithing - there's a skill desperately in need of a reason to train it...
-
Skills or Wealth Getting Rewards
completely. I totally adore the idea of non-tradeable pots and think they should have done it with the new fish/food too...

Removal of new high level potions in PvP
This is a kick in the something or others by our friends at Jagex - very disappointed to see it. Not that I could use any of the new extreme pots but i thought it was a masterstroke to allow a skiller to have the chance to put one over on a pure pvper and would add a really interesting dimension to combat triangle (making it more of a pyramid lol). it also gave me something approaching a desire to train up herblore. I probably still will a bit more at some point but feels like Jagex really wasted an opportunity here.

Lumberyard, Lumberjack and Evil Trees
yup have got it and agree with sentiments about advising against it...I ended up getting 35 pieces of boots/legs/hats before the top magically appeared. Having said that I was having a chat back and forth on this with someone writing a guide for the forums on treking/rambling. They reckoned you could make good money from the rewards on temple trekking but would have to regard lumberjack as a byproduct rather than just solely doing that. Given that I collected a few million in snake hides and also 250k slayer xp whilst trekking I suspect there was something in what he said. Thanks for your 2 cents - worth far more than that in reality but that's pvp driven inflation for you

Whats faster for 99 wc
Troac is right once more, since he is the one who popularized Eucalyptus' around TIF. Eucs are pretty much better than Yews by a LOAD now, close bank too. sorry for hijacking but what sort xp rate is Eucs?

Lumberyard, Lumberjack and Evil Trees
A big help, thank you! Sounds like I should go to try lumberyard out as a 20% pickup in xp per hour is fairly significant to say the least. Does lumberyard xp go down a lot when you're only lvl 80 (as I am)?

Lumberyard, Lumberjack and Evil Trees
Hi all, I'm looking to train up WC using either ivy or the lumberyard. A few quick questions: 1. Does lumberjack boost the xp for either of these? (NB I already have it) 2. Does doing evil trees help in the lumberyard at all? What about with ivy? 3. Which way would people recommend I train? Not really interested in wc for profitability unless I'm missing something. More just aiming for lvl 85 for fun, really. Thanks all!

Thragon13's guide to Making Money w/Burgh de Rott Ramble(uc)
Home Teletabs (if you have a canifis portal) can be useful as an alternative to Slayer Ring as you can recharge prayer and it takes you close to the bank and a short run to restart. Personally i take both. With combat stats around the 89 mark I now prefer to tank and only pray when besieged by several vyres/snakes at once. My theory is that the reward at the end of the task is less valuable than the drops you get on the way unless you're doing the hard route so teleing out/skipping tasks is no big deal (but I'm open to being convinced). I've found the long route much more profitable than the direct route as you can evade the juvinate and ghast tasks and focus on the money making/useful challenges (snakes, vyrewatch, nail beasts and shade). I almost never fail a task now I'm only doing route one whereas on route 3 I used to fail maybe 2/3 out of 4 but the formal rewards are considerably less good than on the harder task. The snails are also cost effective but the there is not that much cash for each one. Feel free to add me in game if you want to discuss/ask questions or need any ideas trying out but please note that my main aim is lumberjack - with 10 boots, 9 hats, 3 legs so far I think the top will forever escape me....

Temple Trekking Guide on Forums?
The vyrewatch are faster to kill but don't come along too often - I wish I had got my flail up this way too - if I did it again I definitely would :)

I don't understand how Slayer makes money
Green dragons might make you more cash per hour but then you'll never unlock access to the better slayer monsters and the super cash cow tasks that can come from that which are clearly better than dragons. Also when a new slayer monster comes out you have access to the new drops and can sell in the trading hype surrounding a new item. The really interesting pro-slayer thing will be if Jagex starts introducing items which only work with a certain slayer level. Looked to me like there were going to in the most recent Q&A... Final thought: the feeling from getting my own whip drop was far better than the bank balance I had after getting 99 hunter :D

Temple Trekking Guide on Forums?
I disagree for two reasons: (1) the vyre corpses are more valuable than completing a run anyway and (2) i think they just takes a little practice. The vyre events are a nice way to get the corpses as if you go the easy route then the level is only about 80 (can't remember exactly) vs a lowest lvl of 110 when you fight them anywhere to east of the town. Also, having played a lot over the last fortnight I now almost never lose the lowest lvl companions to vyres as long as you pre-stack with food and you concentrate on killing the vyre attacking your companion whilst standing in front of the companion to block the other vyres. Get the vyre attacking your companion to sub-50% health and then special it to stop it attacking your companion to save food but usually they don't get attacked at all. In my view the choice depends on how focused you are. If you're purely looking to collect corpses to get to the magic 500 for the maxing of the flail, I wouldn't choose this though (I'm trying to get lumberjack and keeping all the corpses I get along the way and it was much quicker for me to get the flail up just focusing on them east of BDR). If you're happy to do general stuff (so collect the snake hides, talon charmsand lumberjack) as well as getting some corpses then this would work out quite well.

Using a Gilded Altar
thanks, that's helpful.

Void Range
i'd get it and go with the high lvl boat (if you can, haven't checked your lvl). I used PC worlds and usually won 4 out of 5.
