Op-Amps are analog circuits, not Digital circuits, and as such they are designed to operate in complete circuits. Analog circuits have a very different set of rules than Digital circuits, and even digital circuits can operate while breaking the digital circuit rules its just that you cannot reliably expect such uses to perform as intended.

No, to put it in the simplest form: Each node (wire connecting the gates) can have at most 1 gate outputting 0 or 1 onto it at any given time unless they are redundant(output the same value as each other in all possible circumstances). (The only situations where you can have more than 1 gate connected to a node as an output involve Tri-state logic)

All true, and all completely unrelated to what I just said. Your 'logic gates' all have the problem that at some point, both VCC and Ground are connected to the output pin, and basic physics would tell you that along the path between the two you would get a voltage gradient (the voltage slowly changes from one of the two extremes to the other), and your output connection has to be somewhere in that gradient so you end up with a value between the two depending on the location, but as you can reverse the two inputs it will average to exactly halfway between the two voltages. Additionally the components involved are designed with the assumption that the connections between gates are never a complete circuit (the input pins to logic gates are more or less an open circuit and draw almost no current), which your circuit violates by connecting both VCC and Ground at the same time driving a massive current through the Not gates which they are not designed for.

Yes, but you are forgetting that the NOT gate also has to convert a 1 to a 0, in which case it opens a drain to Ground. So your combinational logic is connecting Vcc to Ground, and as any electrical circuit does in such a situation you end up with a voltage gradient between the two, so on average your output would be 2.5 V in the given situation (depending on the placement of the connection it could be any value between 0 and 5V except the opposite connection would give the complement, causing it all to average out) Yes in theory you could operate a not gate without a drain, its just that the operation would be extremely unpredictable due to enviornmental variables. (and by extremely unpredictable, I mean completely. Due to enviornmental factors, there is no way to tell what value any given part of the circuit will have if you leave it floating [no inputs], as certain circumstances can cause it to even increase in voltage, so you can never trust a circuit node that does not have something actively giving it a value.) Edit: Also figured to clarify: on such an inverter, inputs of 0V-1V output ~5V; and inputs of 3.8V-5V output ~0V; Inputs of 1-3.8V give floating outputs which could be literally anything (general values, different components will have different specific values, but there will always be a large margin in the middle of undefined values)

1) All of those circuits end up driving 0.5 given certain inputs which is not a valid input to anything (for example Or(1,0) should equal 1, when your implementation would be outputting .5[the voltage between 0 and 1]) 2)You are driving currents through the components orders of magnitude higher than what they are rated for (IE you are putting several amps through a device intended to support at most several mA) all because each and every one of those circuits has some condition where its a short circuit.

You actually remember it an hour later. ... What? As I just mentioned I have plenty of experience with such things as I am studying that. Just to point out the most glaring issue, there is no possible way to perform any operation that requires more than a single bit as an input using only NOT gates without causing severe issues in the circuit that would render the final result inoperable by any set of standards. And designing IC logic is probably the most inefficient way to teach someone how to use programming languages. (They are pretty much fundamentally different)

It teaches you how to make logic circuits in such a way that your end product at best would end up not working, and at worst straight up start on fire/melt, if you actually made the thing in real life. I am very sure that I know what logic circuits are, as I am studying Computer Engineering. Additionally what little correct information Minecraft can teach on logic circuits just happens to be the sort of stuff that is taught much more by pretty much any other means.(not even going to get into the fact of how I am fairly sure there are no programming languages that use logic circuits, as that is the sort of thing you use an HDL for)

Mather, generally when arguing about something being educational it is assumed that it teaches you something that is actually usable outside of the context of teaching it otherwise you are just wasting time. For example, Redstone logic has no actual use outside Minecraft as the process involved violates so many rules that attempting to implement a redstone logic circuit with real parts would at best crash and burn (literally). Also if people need to be pointed to videos demonstrating stuff its not really the game doing the teaching, its more the videos doing it.

Hmmm... I may join this as my schedule has freed up a bit. I am wondering exactly what you mean by "YOU HAVE THE OPTION OF CHOOSING TO BE AN OUTSIDER OR OTHER THEMATICALLY APPROPRIATE MONSTER WITH 1+ CLASS LEVEL IF YOU SO CHOOSE" Is that CR+1 as base class level, HD+1 as class level, or something else?

Well, in order to hand over control of the character sheet I need an account to transfer it to. If you really want you can make a list of the player choice changes (Feats, Skills, Spell, and Favored class bonus) and I will update the character sheet for you. I simply cannot just make that sort of decision as I don't know enough about how you play Shadow Wing to know what fits, especially as the campaign has shifted from the game type Shadow Wing was intended for, so I am perfectly fine with Nex deciding for you.

Due to the apparant change in the game type I am unsure what character options would be most logical for you to take for Shadow Wing

Well, since I have heard that people have been complaining about my work making Shadow Wing, I will provide only a list of the general changes you will have to make to his character sheet assuming you do not multiclass: Gains the ability to prepare 2nd level spells using his ability score bonus spells (you may prepare a total of 1 second level spell now which may only be taken from the Ranger spell list: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/spell-lists-and-domains/spell-lists---ranger) Health increases by d10+1 Gains 7 skill ranks to spend(may not go higher than 7 on any one skill) Gains 1 rank in either Swim or Survival as per the campaign rule (I think?) Either an additional skill rank or HP Base attack bonus increases to +7/+2 (increasing all attack bonuses by 1, The combat manuever bonus by 1, and the combat manuever defence by 1) Gains Fast Swimmer ability (take half your movement as a move action while swimming with a successful swim check, full movement as a full action with a successful swim check, +2 bonus to swim) You may select an additional feat Note: You do not gain the Ranger class's woodland stride ability

Just to note, Skeletons have a minimum of 1 HD (assuming you aren't using small animals) so you cannot have anywhere near that many skeletons under your control (To control that many you would need to be atleast level 54 not counting any other undead you have, or level 44 with the command undead feat) unless Retech removed the undead control limits as a house rule (which would be absolutely insane). Also just wondering if you are using the Basic Zombie template for your dragon, or are you using the silly Dragon Zombie template for it?

Well, some ISPs have odd configuration issues with their DNS servers which can only be avoided by switching to a different provider, like from my previous experience AT&T's DNS servers have the times for them holding entries being excessively long (As in it will take upwards of 24 hours for it to register a change in IP address for the site), or Time Warner redirects requests to nonexistant addresses to a bing search, or another DNS provider I have used would occasionally get corrupted entries preventing the use of their servers for looking up specific webpages.

Well, Tip.it is no longer directly associated with Arenascape to my knowledge. As far as I know the only member of the Tip.it staff that has the ability to do anything about Arenascape issues is the site owner Silverion who is not particularly active on the forums.

Okay, assuming you do not have anything special set in your hosts file (ie you do not have any local network devices that you connect to by typing in a name rather than an ip address) you can follow the directions (or use the automated proccess also featured) at the following page to get rid of anything that may be happeneing with your hosts file: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034 Check if a Proxy server is currently configured on your connection as that could be part of the problem, follow the instructions here if you use IE or Firefox (if you use some other browser I would need to look it up): http://www.ehow.com/how_6079770_using-proxy-server.html Also, could you use the command prompt (cmd) to run the command "ipconfig /all" and give the IP address/es listed next to DNS Servers if they do not start with 192.168.1 Also make sure you are not stealing your neighbor's internet connection as that can also cause problems along your lines.

Sounds like it would be either a Malicious DNS or Proxy server or undesired entries in your hosts file. Can't really help you resolve it without knowing what OS you are using.

Just to be helpful I will point out that while at sea Shadow Wing is able to provide food and water for himself and 2 others Automatically (Even if he rolls a 1 on the skill check he gets a 15 as there is no such thing as a critical on a skill check) and then an additional 1d20/2 rounded down people as long as you only travel at half speed(moving faster than that prevents the use of survival to gather food until much later in a campaign as the base DC jumps to 40 for the first person). He also has Craft(Ships) trained giving him a total of +6 on it.

Its usually very helpful if you use the rules for the right game system to make characters. That link for the class skills is to the D&D 3.5 rules, not Pathfinder.

Umm... You do realise that your numbers for calculating your profession (Sailor) check seem to be extremely inaccurate?(I know for a fact that the current total is artificially high based on the info you gave) Perhaps if you actually let me see your character sheet I could figure out what on earth is going on with that issue and what question you are actually asking.
