Opinion is opinion Anyway, if the definition of troll is "one who intentionally makes controversial topics", I would assert that trolls are good. Communities need skeptics who are willing to take alternative viewpoints and skepticize the accepted. I, in fact, do this on purpose.

Not to sound mean, but... Even in the real world, opinions are opinions are opinions. Everyone has them and feels like they should have weight. But they don't really matter unless you have the power to enforce them. One example would be how blizzard/activision treats its players. At least in the short run, they can farm as much profit off of their players as they want, even if it's morally and ethically bankrupt to do so, and get plenty of crap for it. Fundamentally, we just have two opposing opinions. You say that the person who gets there first deserves the spot. I say the person who can utilize the spot more efficiently deserves the spot. Both are opinions, but we're the ones who have the power to make the final decision. Most other argument is just rationalization of opinion - neither holds any fundamental truth.

Society would become less catty because less incidence of flaming and hassolish behavior PvM would become a huge pain because of inability to find worlds and having to hop forever. Profitability will be heavily influenced by competition, so you'll probably see a lot more people making money in alternative ways. The effect on item prices would be hard to say, and depends on the context. For situations where the worlds are already saturated and have one person killing almost all the time (i.e. Bandos), less Bandos items would be coming into the game so supply decreases. For situations where the worlds aren't already saturated, they will probably become more saturated, increasing supply.

RSOF prices on ely are now around 850-950M, so street has definitely dropped. probably after the next GE update it might even make sense to sell ely at max if you own one, since that 30M profit might even be the only you'll get after it crashes...

EDIT: wrong thread. sorry

If you look at this from the "best economic choice for the greater good" perspective: Depends on what those anti-crash crashers would do in their time if they weren't crashing. In other words what's the opportunity cost of them anti-crashing? Usually it's low because they're noobs and they don't really produce anything of worth

How did I not hear about this! Lol. I woulda wore full Armadyl, SOL, Arcane necklace and shield, Infinity boots and tore them up. Works at SW at least. :P. Lol... that's barely enough, most of the people there had some kind of pvp gear on. I had full stat & zuriel top/bottom/staff... everyone was 138 too lol. The key to winning was blood barrage, at the end of the day -

Competition for a Div or Yellow Phat at street, winner at pits gets it I got 13th out of 400. SO CLOSE FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU I ran out of super restores... took 1 too many super prayers and 1 too few super restores. GOD I COULD HAVE HAD IT SFKJLSFJLSLFJLKSFKL Also got 138 Cb today This was also my setup for today... -
Killistealing is generally not efficient unless you can guarantee that you get most of the kills... which usually isn't the the case because people overestimate the proportion of kills they steal.

At the end of the day, people will QQ

Spectral has been dropping because of dungeoneering (eagle eye kiteshield) and saturation of the market. It will likely stay in the 50M range

KS spec is better for 1v1 safe pvp.
-
wow this thread is very circular haha. reminds me of the crashing thread http://forum.tip.it/topic/273034-an-elitists-view-on-crashing/
-
Easier to ask on a forum :P plus i'd be limited in sample size if it's just me testing beause i dont want to do it for too long
-
"efficiency = laziness" looks like rationalization to me

Are you sure mage pray doesnt help you in pvp? I think it might...
-
Tormented Demons; Yes. PvP; Apparently not. Wait wtf... seriously?? someone want to verify this?
-
Random question: so does Mage protection actually reduce damage?
-
However, we are talking mainly about PvP, so special restores are irrelevant. Korasi->Dclaws requires risking 28.5m, and the Vigour itself. I'd say it's still balanced, quite well thought out. Safe Pvp isn't a small part of the game... a lot of people do pits, clan wars, castle wars, etc. You can't just ignore it.
-
You can use spec restores in non-pvp worlds. = 2x Spec. You can also do Korasi+Dclaws using a Vigour ring.
-
What ring setting and bind setup?
-
Like I said, it's not always about healing per spec; it's sometimes more important to look at how much inventory space you look at per spec. I don't even own an SGS
-
I would semi agree, A melee fighter can use protect from magic, while a mage can use protect from melee, BUT a melee fighter can also pack a good ranger set in his/her inventory, while a mage would not have enough food if he filled his iny with full melee gear and runes and food. (edit) oh yeah thats right there is something called a beast of burden these days #-o salamanders ftw..... Doesn't matter. You can carry a full inventory of brews. Even a yak full of brews. Thanks to soul split, if you don't know how to hybrid, I can beat you without food (assuming I also have melee gear, or tribrid gear). I've done this against several level 138's using a full inventory of brews. Actually, even if you're a perfect range/melee hybrid, I can still beat you with less food than you. Magic is just that powerful.
-
For pvp: Magic, by very very far. Why: -- Totally controls a battle -- Most accurate, even against high magic defense -- Blood barrage -- Miasmic barrage -- Veng is crucial for KO's -- Ice barrage is the single most important aspect of pvp. With it you can set up situations where your opponent basically cannot hit you at all, or you can heal up to max whenever you want. -- A good mage can even beat a ranger, and without much difficulty If you disagree, please fight me. I will show you exactly how powerful magic is. A good mager using only magic could easily beat a person using any other single combat style.
-
May not have KO potential, but useful when food is off, or comboing (I'm pretty sure you could stack a barrage on top of a MLB spec and then immediately transition to KS spec) Even hitting a 200-150-450 is very deadly.
