  4. what. Guide is outdated, I wrote it back when 80DG was pro and they hadnt updated the cbows yet I never joined DGE cause they started getting bad once I got 93... w148 is junk anyway. Ya i agree in general its not hard to be pro dg. Still there are a lot of random small tips that people dont know about i think Im mostly DGing with my perm team atm + randoms from 3bo or dge...

  7. what I'm saying is that a lot of people aren't aware of these guides. they aren't really out there in the public unless you actively look for them.
  8. This is totally different, and your goal isn't to finish something the fastest possible. Which is fine. the problem is that for the people who do want to be fast, they don't really have any options.

  12. At the same time, I think there are a lot of lower levels who are willing to put in the extra effort and want to be able to run clean dungeons. But they don't really have anyone reliable to learn from other than themselves.
  13. L2DG CLAN CHAT: Info Here Hey all, So after a recent PVP hiatus (owning W68 :shades:), I've come back to DG. Teams nowadays are pretty bad. W148/DGE is pretty much W117 now, and W117 is just... terrible. I know there are other higher level clans (which I won't mention for fear of contamination), but I'd really like to see good dungeoneering at all levels. DG is actually probably the most fun skill in the game, yet most despise it. The problem is that there is simply a TON of misinformation regarding how to DG well. A properly run dungeon is usually pretty fun. And when I mean a "good" dungeon, I'm talking about, at the most, a 35 minute large. I see 100+ DGers who have absolutely no idea how to rush, even telling people the wrong things. So for all of you pro DGers out there - how can we go about solving this? I wrote a pretty comprehensive guide about DG (http://forum.tip.it/topic/271612-comprehensive-dungeoneering-guide/), but it's really long and sort of unaccessable for those with short attention spans. One thing I was thinking of was to take over the DG guide of RSWiki. Like have a few people rewrite most of it, and regularly check that idiots arent changing it back. Youtube is another option, but I'll keep the details of that secret :thumbup: --- Ancient

I think you are watching the problem(which i don't deny there is) from the wrong perspective- if there was some other way of gaining tokens, perhaps a way in which you wouldn't directly get dungeoneering xp from, this problem could be solved. Reducing the cost of items to coincide with levels would make most rewards just too cheap, and only allow you to have that specific reward at that specific level anyway. possible soln: give everyone a few starting tokens, like around 10k
  16. Yes, but hood still drastically reduces the damage you take because you can selectively kill monsters without having to worry about the others. For example, in a room with 5 forgotten warriors and 5 forgotten rangers, you're a LOT better off with the hood because you can kill each individually rather than praying range and tanking the melee. My only issue with this is....that situation never happens....as well as when it comes to occult floors...your hood just isn't as useful anymore. There's more monsters in occult that can just plain see you, as well as there being mages scattered around like hotcakes. We have someone in our team who does have a hood (he's the keyer), and he uses more food then everyone else, who have prom bodies. We've also grown used to luring/tanking monsters since we're always killing them. we take out the threats within seconds, and leave us able to pray against one style and be fine. This whole idea of not rushing is very alien to me... a lot of the times my groups are split apart so we don't have that option. In these cases I'll be soloing GD's a lot, so a hood is absolutely vital. How fast do you guys typically finish a floor? We go for 30 minutes on average.

  18. Sag body/primal legs is a decent setup if you don't have hood. By the principle of diminishing returns (which holds true if you understand how defense/accuracy is calculated), it's better to have a little bit of each defense rather than a lot in some and none in others. This is, however, assuming you don't pray. The reason primal body/primal legs might be better is because you can easily just mage pray. That way you have protection from all three sides. With that said, I still strongly encourage SS hood :P
  19. Primal Longsword 2H Spear Plate Sag Body Celestial Robe Top So 95 DGers will at the very least be able to access one of the new primal equipment, maybe the longsword. The longsword has 6 less strength than the battleaxe but has high slash and decent stab. Might be good to have 1-2 people on the team with longsword. 2H will probably be the best bind though. Its stats are ridiculous... 180 slash, 150 crush, 165 strength
  20. In other words, instanced bosses - which, sorry to say, has been mentioned earlier multiple times Doesn't have to be instanced to be a Resource Dungeon. Frost Dragons are shared... My bad. In any case, this is, like you said, a short-lived fix; in the long-run, most people will get or try to get the necessary DG level to fight the boss.
