Kind of going off topic here, but I don't think slayer is the best way to max. Getting a decent combat, then 85 DG, and then maxing out on frosts is probably the most efficient way to go. Frosts are high profit, drop summoning charms, and drop effigies.

Not from what I found with dueling with my friend. She's lvl 135 and I'm lvl 134. My rapier vs her KS spec then whip for the rest of the fight, I won over 70% of the fights. Both of us had the same gear (BCP, Tassies, Nezzy helm, Dragon boots, Fury, Barrows gloves, and Zerker ring). The only differences were I didn't use a spec weapon, and she used a whip while I had rapier. Edit: Sample size was 100 duels. I won 73 of the fights, she won 27 of them. things to consider: you need a control for weapons (both of you use whip or both of you use rapier); pots; food?

it basically kills you in 1v1... 100% of the time...

Is Korasi's sword balanced? With near if not actual 100% accuracy and high hits, is it a reasonable reward for a relatively low-level grandmaster quest? Does it destroy certain elements of PvP for you?

An option is to use titan for KC and uni for the boss chamber

The chaotic crossbow is only marginally more accurate than the rune crossbow, since the strength lies in the ammo. Considering the costs in its maintenance, it's not worth it. I'd consider either the staff or the maul. Difference is not marginal. It's about 15-20% more accurate based on grimy/my accuracy formula. In pvp i notice a significant difference. Don't get the maul unless you plan on using WF's for 99 summoning. I have one and I'd much rather have a CLS or staff. Wait, really? I swear it was just +10 over the rune crossbow last I checked. *checks* Ok, ignore my post about the crossbow. It's +30. That's exactly why I was suggesting the maul. I imagine waterfiends to be really fast if you use it, but ultimately there's no right answer to this question without knowing what the goals of the asker in question are. Yeah they updated it. And maul is at most only like 5-10% better at waterfiends. And it's pretty much useless everywhere else. Only uses for maul: -- Sara -- TD's with steel titan -- PvP with food on

Any news on ely/div stability?
-
Except the 4m/hr is actually tested / backed by evidence :P

SGS spec slightly boosts strength too. back in the day i hit 620 with SGS when my normal max was around 560 and depends - when your goal is ultimately a KDR of like 20:1 (which i aim for), one opponent means nothing anyway most of this doesn't apply to the average scaper

Would there be any interest in such a guide? im one of the top pvpers on w68 and was thinking about writing a guide for safe pvp
-
i'm talking about 1v1 situations, and sgs is only slightly less accurate than claws in pvp and can still hit ~700 and it's not just about saving hp. when i'm at 200-300 hp i desperately need a heal, but when i'm at 700+ i don't really care and can afford to mess around. in other words, healing 200 hp at 200 hp left is worth much much more than preventing even like... 700 damage over time at 700 hp
-
Just sayin, SGS is one of the best spec weapons for food-off clan wars. totally turns the tide for some battles. EEE's healing is way too slow for those scenarios
-
I would disagree; there are a lot of very good guides on tif and a lot of pros to receive info from.
-
tif hasn't always been this flamey though...
-
TIF has gotten a lot more flamey nowadays Granted, I haven't really helped the situation - I've had some pretty controversial posts - but I am not usually malicious. I think a lot of it boils down to viewing the game in very separate ways Why did this come about, and what can we do about it?
-
Obviously not. Mage basing means that the accuracy of the damage is calculated based on opponents defense against magical attacks, it's still a melee attack. Yeah its a mage based melee attack. That means its attack power is determined by your melee abilities; but it is blocked by the opponents magic defence; and it still counts as a melee attack. Yup I used it at tds it's always fun getting it to pray mage and continue meleeing, although it's not as effective as claws/maul on those :\ Wait so if you hit over 300 with it, the TD switches to pray mage?

Explain how to me, in terms of a PVP stance, which I am pretty sure you're talking about. It protects over whip, over claws, over chaotics, leaving most to use it as a main weapon, which puts them at a disadvantage. It has a 60% spec, so not even the ring of vigour can allow you to use it twice in a row. It's crap if they protect from magic or have decent magic defence (I went from 2 hitting 138s in full bandos 9/10 duels with special restores, to hitting 230s if lucky on 116's with protect from magic on). the only context i really care about is safe pvp, so none of the protect applies; also in safe pvp you can use it twice in a row without vigour ring (via spec restores). i have seen it hit through dhide and/or karil pretty easily. you can carry both claws and ks, so pretty much no matter what armor your opponent has on you will be able to hit them 90%+ of the time. plus considering each of these easily hits above 500, you can basically two-hit any opponent.
-
the spec is so accurate it's borderline overpowered. actually pretty much overpowered
-
Not true: SGS > D claws for pvp fights without food (?) This sword > D claws if you don't want to risk claws DScim > D claws for certain pvp scenarios DDS > D claws for supreme
-
CLS is mainly for pvp, and for td's I'm hoping it's slightly better than maul. maul feels slow; cls is the right balance between being able to hit consistently and speed

Any numerical proof of this sucking? as in how many kills less an hour or...? Because, as far as i can tell(and i've only tried rapier), it's great(with defender). No literal "numerical proof", i'm just saying it's bad cause it's just really annoying to use. you don't hit over 300 as often so it's a lot more annoying to time titan specs. Not everything has to be numerical :P but on a rough estimate, i get ~25-30 kills a trip with maul and ~22-27 with rapier. (1 trip = 40 mins) with maul, it's a lot easier: if i see X amount of xp on my xp bar, I instantly click titan spec; with rapier, I have to deal with the hassle of adding hits.
-
like i said, i never really use range in an environment where rigour makes sense. I dk's and hybrid pvp. cstaff for dk's is too much risk imo and rapier sucks for td's with titan
-
do you not have rigour? honestly I'd save for for the final dungeoneering batch it was 4 months between batch 1 and occult. another 4 month wait would put the final batch at around christmas. I don't see why I would ever use rigour, outside of arma (and I don't do arma)

Getting my fourth chaotic (I have maul, rapier, and cbow). Should I get cstaff or CLS? I could use CLS for pvp and TD's I could use staff for pvp
