One year has passed !
The game is better in general because they took pking out. Removing pking removed a ton of the problems or at least hid them from the general publics eye. Major imbalances in combat no longer became a major issue because of this. Removing bots was certainly nice but it hasn't made it an easier to train. Now instead of silence at yew trees you just have tons of people asking for your woodcutting level. I agree the game is better but and I love some of the changes but Jagex did not solve everything.

Fastest Way To Make Money W/ My Skills [Urgent]
Well I'm not sure the kind of money you bring in or the experience because I have never done this myself but there is a guide somewhere on the forums on using the blast furnace to make a good profit and get good experience for smithing. I don't know if that will net you 3m quickly but maybe look into that? And I guess if you want max money/exp pess is the best way to go.

Fastest Way To Make Money W/ My Skills [Urgent]
Are you the person who bought black hide for max?? I wouldn't say that is risky. I would say that is stupidity. And TBH, there is no risk if you just buy and sell at medium. I don't think market can change fast enough for you to lose money.

dragon claw's
Then again look at the MSB spec that actually got "nerfed". Max hit with a MSB and rune arrows, potted and prayed with the MSB spec is what 25 (+/- 1), according to the Tip.It calc. So 25-25... then 25-25 was 100 damage which apparently jagex saw to be unfair in combat. Hitting a 25 the first time then a 25 the second spec with d claws you have said can total up to 99, wouldn't that be the same thing?? MSB max hit W/O spec was 23 when it was nerfed. Spec never hits max twice for MSB (at least I don't think it did) so you're actually making it out to be better then it is. And I doubt these get nerfed because melee is Jagex's love child. @OP- You're wrong and even if you weren't tough. The reason claws are so high is they are good. Same thing with God Sword. You could buy d-boots when they were new for not a lot.

Dragon - Taking A New Turn?
IMO this is what NEEDS to happen. Dragon needs to stop being looked at as a symbol of wealth and used as what it is. A level 60 armor. If Jagex was smart they would increase drop rates for a short time on all dragon armor so it drops and is easily affordable. People would then actually be able to use it and 60 defense would be a useful level. With PVP back keeping your defense at 60 and using full dragon could be a good strategy but only if prices drop far enough that you aren't the target of everything.

Ranging green dragon help
Yes you can range them with the right equipment at your stats. Yes you can range them for profit unless you decide to use onyx bolts and not pick them up. Equipment is basically the best range stuff you have that you don't mind losing incase a rev attacks and you lag. I give a little more detailed explanation below. tl;dr version is below [hide=]Take a waka canoe to wilderness and right around that area are green drags. Using 50 range and a combination of emerald (e) and ruby (e) bolts you take them down very fast with 50~ range. When you are done make sure you have a charged glory with you and run south till you can teleport. Tele to edgeville and then repeat. Only problem is you might not have woodcutting level for canoe. viewtopic.php?f=180&t=759390&hilit=green+dragons This guide (^^^) suggests using broad bolts and maybe that works better, I don't know. It also gives you an alternative to using the canoe method I suggest although I doubt it is as fast. For equipment I would use your best D-hide range armor, best cross bow, dfire-shield/zamorak/guthix book, a charged glory (to get to edge), accumulator, bronze axe (for canoe, you can drop it when you get there seeing as the hide/bones you put in the spot will allow you to buy like 200 bronze axes), enough food to heal 80~ hp if a rev attacks, and maybe a ranging potion if your range is low. The type of ammo is up to you but like I said earlier, emerald (e) are pretty useful for their poison especially if you have a low range attack. You can actually get by without bringing a dfire shield once you get more experienced and this might save you a spot if you want to use a zammy book while actually ranging them. Bring a fire staff and natures is never a bad idea either but thats up to you as well.[/hide]

Saradomin Wizards and The Wildy !
If you can wear red d-hide I would just wear red d-hide and pray melee. He might get a couple big hits on you with sara strike but it would probably be less (in terms of food/potion) then melee. I know I have fought them with like 50ish defense through that method and it works fine.

:::: 99 SKiLLS - THe FaCTS ::::
Why is fishing more difficult than woodcutting? If you are going for fast exp in WC than you are probably doing willows which really doesn't let you afk that much. Fishing is basically the same. I don't the best fishing spots/exp per hour but it can't be THAT much worse than willows.

Tip.It Times Presents: The Clue Conundrum
Good article, first clue (or maybe second) that I did I got a sara plate. That was back when there was no 3rd age and stuff so I was pretty pumped.

And WoW people think we are stupid...
@OP: If there was an RS convention people would dress up when they got there...

Runescape Named One Of The Best Time Wasters
How so? If they weren't, they would just be watching T.V or eating or playing another video game. Yeah you can say people who play RS "waste the best time of their life" while you go and play Call of Duty. Same exact thing. I can enjoy a 20 minute game of CoD4 and shut it off? You can't play RS for 20 minutes and get anything productive done. But I know what you mean, in the grand scheme of things everything is a waste of time.

Hide Tanning
120 trips is an unreasonable estimate. It takes a good 50 seconds from bank to tanner walking so maybe it is 30 running but even there is no way to run for an hour straight. I'd estimate 80-100 trips.

New to Mems
When I first became a member I didn't know what to do really so I just did some quests and tree gnome village (or something like that) and grand tree are probably the best quests I ever did. They give you access to gnome gliders and spirit trees which help immensely in getting around. They're short and give ok EXP as well plus you need them for monkey madness I think. So do them. There pretty easy and they will help you a ton.

600k
If you are just looking to make a fast 600k for something just buy drag hides, tan, resell. That is probably the fastest way.

99 Fletching Help
# Item lvl Exp 160,553 Yew Longbow (u) 70 75 160,553 Yew Longbow, Stringing 70 75 80,277 Yew Longbow 70 150 So about 80,000? I didn't know your exact exp so I made you exactly 73. I hear it is faster to string though and since you get the same exp stringing as cutting you might just want to string your way to 99 as it would be faster.

Money per hour on steel bars
I'm wondering if anybody has a conservative estimate on the money per hour on buying iron/coal and converting it to steel bars. edit- and exp would be nice but if you don't know thats fine.

Call to Peace
I support separating F2P and P2P and not allowing trade/interaction between the two. That way P2P does not have to deal with the whiny F2P at all. But wait... Then P2P would not benefit from everything F2P does like gather coal, iron, yews, blah blah blah. And wait.... then P2P would become unhappy. Hmm.... I guess P2P owes F2P a little more than there willing to admit. So basically F2P does not deserve every quest, every skill, etc but they should definitely have updates because they play a vital part of keeping the game running.

Tut Island Graphic Update Plus More Info from RSOF!
I'm pretty sure in Dragon Slayer Ned tells you that he escaped crandor when elvarg came and destroyed it. I am almost positive. And I really think people are digging to deep. I don't wanna be thought of as a "half empty glass" kind of person but couldn't it just be that the they had been working on this and decided to release it as just a graphics update? It would probably be the best place to give a graphics update after all considering it is the first place new players come.

Forget this degrade BS, F2P now deserves dragon weapons...
I'm not going to read 8 pages so I am sure someone has said what I am about to but uh.... I think Drag weapons would hardly hurt P2P and hardly discourage people from becoming a member. Hardly anybody is going to say "Oh since F2P can use that awesome dlong I am canceling my membership!" so ya, I am all for giving F2P pkers some stuff to use at high levels. Only problem though is F2P pking is already horribly imbalanced at basically every level (early-mages, middle-range/melee, late- melee). If you gave F2P drag weps it would become even more imbalanced. Funny post.... You forgot some things though. To get money from the customers (P2P) they need to be happy. P2P is happy when the economy is good. F2P keeps the economy good by producing tons of raw materials that P2P uses. So actually F2P goes a long way to keeping RS running. People like you for some reason refuse to acknowledge it. If they removed F2P the backlash members would feel would be tremendous. It would be like removing autoers all over again except nobody would replace them this time.

Ranging in PVP using the wilderness ditch
The funny thing about this is when rangers actually use the fact that they can attack from a distance to an advantage someone yells unbalanced. ..... Kind of ironic I guess It is a little unfair and perhaps limiting the amount of times you can cross the ditch in 20 seconds would help but I hardly thing they need to make it so you can't shoot over the ditch at all. I mean, actually using the range to your advantage! THE HORROR!

Tip.it Times Presents: "The Evolution of Ranged"
I might have missed it but you skipped over XBow. Even though MSB was still a better finisher, Xbow hit a lot harder and at the same speed (if not faster). I think that should have been mentioned.

Growth Of Runescape.
Yo, people play DII because you can just hack w/e the hell you want and have fun. I don't think RS is gonna die but I'd say it is certainly coming close to peaking. It is going to face a lot of competition when stuff like DIII come out and with computers and graphics getting better and better browser based graphics just aren't going to cut it. It will probably retain a dedicated group of players for quite awhile though.

Wow.... I don't think I have ever seen somebody absolutely destroy like 5 other peoples arguments that easily. Have my babies.

Behind The Scenes - October Edition
I might start actually playing again instead of just trolling if these PVP worlds are any good! But still, there are so many things that are gonna need balancing and [cabbage] on these worlds so I hope Jagex comes back and revisits them in a month or two. I really wonder how Jagex is going to deal with teleporting and [cabbage].... Still though, looks GREAT! Hope Jagex doesn't blow it!
