I would wear it because I would not care if people asked for emote. I have the brain power to shut chat off and leave the area or take it off while those kind of people are around.

1. He's making the assumption that it doesn't actually annoy people. Hence the words: "act like" I can tell you for a fact that it does annoy us - in the same way players asking random questions annoys a level 138. No, nothing serious, which is why we're not going to change how we play the game - but annoying to the point where we will complain. 2. He's making the assumption that since we do the emote, it means we crave attention. Hence the words: "like the true attention [bleep] they really are" I don't do the emote for attention. I do it to rid myself of attention - to get them to say, "Oh nice," so they can move on and leave me alone instead of repeatedly asking me. It's still annoying though. And when I've had enough of doing it for that day - I just move away from them and don't do the emote. But like I said, that still doesn't get rid of the fact that it's annoying. Personally, I like how Hunter Cape looks over those other ones you suggested. Also, it's a good reminder to myself of what I accomplished. If I am about to give up - I'll just look at my Hunter Cape and say, "Now wait! If I got 99 Hunter, then I can accomplish this goal too." Like I said, I even wear it in my POH when no one is around. All righty.... Since you used the "all" argument. Tell me where in the post I agreed with he said "ALL" players act that way.... Ok then.... I never disagreed with you. You obviously just don't understand that there are players who complain about noobs bothering them when they where their skills capes where if they player honestly wanted them to stop he could simply use different equipment that achieves the exact same effect.

Ya that is a problem but not really his rant =/ I agree that it mitigates the damage factor of RS a lot (have your friend and yourself just switch items before doing a hard boss) but he is ranting about how people charge others to use items.

Why thank you, how kind. I really don't think I said that either. I think I said something along the lines of PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!! Combat training is almost just as easy to fix!!!!! You can buy the legendary OBSIDIAN CAPE!!!!!!!!! JUST AS GOOD DEFENSE BONUSES!!!!!! Only thing you end up sacrificing if a bit of prayer. OMG I KNOW!!!! Good thing this can be solved too!!!! If I rember from the books I've read its the British who bombed Germany. But really, they probably are [developmentally delayed] who still think all Germans are evil. the german people werent "evil" it was the leaders that were cruel so dont b hatin on the germans :evil: American pilots bombed Germany. Two reasons why we (the US) did not *actually*. 1. Even now chances of somebody making a bombing run from the United States across the Atlantic and half of Europe to bomb somebody is stupid and not practical. 2. We were fighting in the Pacific which is where a ton of our planes/ships/etc went. Even so the European front began long before the Pacific one. Tons of Americans enlisted in other allied armies to fight in Europe. Regardless, welcome to the internet. And besides, you are playing a mostly American/British game. 90% of other games communities are not American and certainly would never say something like that. In fact, in most other communities there are GOBS of people who hate America right now. You have no idea. Grow some skin and get over it. Seriously. If you care that much what somebody tells you, YOU (and them) need to grow up.

That is all so true. It is like celebrities who pretend to be bothered by the media. If they were truly bothered they would stop doing crazy stuff and they would be left alone.

People don't look down on all skill capes. Maybe they look down on your skill cape because it is the easiest to get?? It is kind of like the kid who gets to be hall monitor. They were their little sash as a badge of honor when in reality it is nothing special. I personally don't really respect any skill capes. Anybody with the time can get any of them fairly easily. By the same token though I certainly won't go around telling people they are terrible because they have them.

I agree. If a you have a friend who lets you use their stuff for free more power too you. But if people want to charge you for using their property I have absolutely no problem. They're just being good businessmen. =/

/facepalm Removing the wilderness was removing a skill. What is the difference between spending 100 hours of your life leveling up attack and strength on a pure and then 50 hours pking or just raising cooking for 150 hours?? Nothing. The game could survive without cooking. We could just have NPC's cook for us as long as we gathered the ingredients. It really wouldn't be a major change when you think about it. Nothing in the game would be missing that was needed to play. We would still be able to walk around and bash monsters. So basically, just because you didn't pk or maybe you did pk but regardless, the amount of time and effort put into characters for that is no different that the time and effort put into skills. And that is really how people measure greatness in this game. How much time you have spent on it and your effort. And total sucking up to mods =/

OMG, I LOVE THAT GAME!!!!!! The end of the road is always bittersweet isn't it? I'm almost afraid to play my new rpg game, Mana Khemia, because I don't want it to end so soon too :cry: But this is why I love Rs so much : PFFT 80 hours is noob. Try like 150+. New ToS is like pokemon.... Not sure if I am gonna get it. Seriously though. You're not a fanboy if you defend something Jagex does. You are when you defend everything Jagex does. Maybe they needed to get rid of X, Y, and Z but how can you defend them when nothing gets put back into X, Y, and Z's spots?? PKing was removed and PVP got BH instead. BH is only similar to PKing in that you attack another player. Bringing high level items gets you gang banged and there is really no chance to 1v1 unless people agree not to interrupt (rare). Fist of Guthix is a fairly fun mini game but when Jagex promised a 1v1 PVP mini game I think everybody was thinking something like Edgeville or something. We got exactly what was promised but far from what we expected. If FoG had been released earlier it would have been a bigger success. Too bad what Jagex basically did was promise us a *insert car here* (every1 expects a cool car) but gave us a *Insert crappy car here*. Some people continue to rant about this game because they care. They just don't roll over and stop playing when things don't go there way. I am sure we have all seen the WoW southpark where Cartman gives his speech about how the french just stopped playing when hitler rose to power (http://www.southparkstudios.com/clips/155267/?tag=Tweek). It kinda the same thing. Maybe people wouldn't be so up Jagex's [wagon] about PKing if RS wasn't just grinding in almost every other aspect. PKing was the one thing that was different about RS. Honestly, there is no difference between killing a moss giant at lvl 25 and killing the KBD at lvl 100. Nothing different about cutting a normal tree than cutting a magic tree. Nothing (majorly) different about WC and fishing for that matter. Fighting different players in different circumstances was different. Jagex can really fix this problem by not worrying about dam graphics so much and new quests that take an hour to complete. They need to balance this game and fix existing things. So seriously, stop pretending that people who whine about the wilderness are out of line. It is a legitimate complaint. And stop acting like everybody is a fan boy. I am high and quite mellow atm so I probably contradicted myself several times. I don't need people quoting me to let me know just so they can feel good for 2 minutes.

Well I don't think it is some weird mob mentality that STR is better. It is better. It increases accuracy and raises your overall DPS. I understand some people may take it a little far but STR is the best skill out of atk, str, and def.

I played some RSC... probably not for as long as you have, ultrablue, O High Lord of All. I can say that I like RS2 better, for the most part. Then again, I never got into player killing so I really don't give a crap about the "old wilderness removal," but I guess this is a biased opinion of an overzealous fanboy watching out for Jagex's [wagon] despite all the lame updates they've had. It isn't the custom messages that annoy most people. If they used custom messages that would be fine IF they actually banned/warned people fairly. The person typed reported before I said "I hack". That person was an idiot who got angry that I typed 99 when he asked me my magic level.

Surprised there isn't more of that. I agree with you. And RWT is easy even with BH. You just log in at 3AM when all the 8 year olds go to bed and have a high level stand there and guard you while you do the trade.

Did you read anything I said.... If somebody runs melee can still hit them. The combat system is already imbalanced. Melee owns all. Jeez, have you ever actually PKed?
