  1. Farcasting for me is absolutely no problem. In fact they should make it easier to farcast by reducing time in between freezes and lowering the amount of time praying cuts off. Safing on the other hand is debatable. If two players agree to have a deathmatch then go ahead and eat all you want. But if two players just attack each other it becomes a pain in the [wagon] when people just eat and teleport away. It wastes your food, their food, your time, their time, their ammo, and your ammo. It really can be a problem especially in F2P where people lag the ability to KO you as easily (especially with range/mage).
  2. Melee is the strongest. The ability to hybrid is what gives them such versatility. The fact that they lose no stats (from their weapon) when switching to karils/ahrims/w.e is pretty darn strong. I also think a lot of the new items and stuff have made dbow hitting 96 virtually impossible. If two players using their best stuff were fighting the new shields would stop a 96. On the other hand using a DDS and smite you could destroy their prayer and still have specs left to KO with.... I mean, range shouldn't beat melee but melee definitely should not be beating mage which it currently can. And (more, I know) Jagex does favor melee in their releases. God swords, spirit shields, dclaws, and I'm sure some other staff have all come out recently (semi in GS's case but w.e) while mage and range have received fewer updates.
  3. I don't know how long you've been around, but Junk trades have been around since way before the release of GE. Since way before the release of RS2. Since way before the release of Rune. Telling me that junk trades is a testament to anything at this point means nothing. Oh my mistake. Can you explain that though, why would anybody need to junk trade when their is free trade?
  4. The tip.it guide estimates about 27k exp (per hour) using sorc garden from levels 25-45. At level 45 it jumps to 50k exp (per hour). I'm pretty sure I did the math right.... so basically if you are 35 right now it should take you about 4 hours to get to 53 if you can hit the average times listed in the tip.it guide. This is for sorc garden btw, and here is the guide http://tip.it/runescape/?page=sorceress_garden.htm
  5. Makato, as long as their are people junk trading it is a testament to the fact that the GE price setting system is broken.
  6. Use a scimmy and carry a 2h with you. That is probably the best thing to do. Baxe is nice when you have high str/attack and are having a deathmatch with someone. Your probably just trying to get hp low and then KO. Unless someone lags or does something incredibly stupid they will easily eat above your max hat during 2h attacks. >.> I just realized you prefer long swords over scimmies... Either way, I would bring the 2h and another weapon and just take out the 2h to KO.
  7. If your gonna do Sorceress' Garden, get ready to have high blood pressure. Nah. The first couple times it is annoying but if your computer responds well and you stick with it, the exp you get is great at 40+. I agree with brawley, do sorceress's garden for sure. Find a guide because that will help and be patient. Don't risk getting caught if you can just wait a couple seconds and make sure you get through the maze no problem. Plus you won't need food for it or have to worry about guards/w.e attacking you if you are caught.
  8. Price setting on GE is BS. Can't we all agree on that?? I mean, perfect example is D Plate and D Claws.
  9. Ya, castle wars is definitely awesome. I think it is possibly the most well liked update Jagex has had, and if not darn close. I do have a few complaints with it though [hide=]Those hoods kill barrows sets which would be fun to use and it is a pain using mage or range because you lose so much money! Catapult got the friendly fire update but it is still pretty lame and those towers in the middle can't even be used to range/mage out of![/hide]
  10. I'm just wondering if it is possible to "cheat the system". If two friends each trained with 75k and then let the one kill the other in a crowded spot or something couldn't the drops easily be more than 75k?? I don't want massive amounts of flames if I am missing something about the system and am totally wrong. Just an explanation.
  11. I like that Jagex followed through with the "More updates less often" thing. I really like that. I also really like the fact that they explained the drop system. Very helpful.
  12. I laughed.... I don't think mine would be that high because I spend my gaming time on CoD4, WC3, RS, and console.... So individually none of them are probably that high but if you put them together.... I can't accurately take a guess because I have made so many accounts over the years and taken a lot of time off. And I think most of you are way over estimating. There are like 8.7k hours in a year and I doubt some of you have played like 2 years straight....
  13. It isn't that much cash just to spend the money on steel bars for 41-50. You can also do quests. http://www.runescape.com/c=bbb4c79/kbas ... le_id=1768 Thats a list of the quests that give smithing exp and depending on your levels and wether or not you have done some of those that might be fastest.
  14. Grand Tree and gnome village. They give access to gliders and spirit trees which are really useful...
  15. Cutting yews can be 100k an hour depending on your woodcutting level, where you live, and if you are willing to get up at night.
  16. I suggest keeping your black dhide and buying a cannon. Obviously that is the best range gear...
  17. Most of these things are either impossible or just a colossal waste of time. I don't think there is going to be anything done in the future of RS that will compare to the first 99 smither/first 123/etc....

I am assuming that body tiaras are the fastest exp but I am just wondering if there is perhaps a way to get similar exp without spending tons of cash.
  19. Warhammer
  20. It was given a 30m price tag at the start by Jagex so before stats were wide spread people obviously assumed it was good. They order one on the GE for max because they want one ASAP. Word gets around about 2 days later (As shown by graph) that it isn't half as good as people though and people want to get rid of it. Plus with the release of claws if people have that kind of money they are probably going to invest in something actually good. Does that explain it?
  21. Because it is not hard to get that extra 10 defense levels for barrows and once you do torags is a far superior armor in every way and much cheaper.
  22. Yes, members would get [bleep]ed and then cry to have F2P back even if it meant giving them w.e they wanted.
  23. Cool, except RS is run out of a browser so it is not a huge surprise it has more hits than other games IMO. In my several years of playing SC and WC3 (just examples) I have been to battle.net (WC3/SC website) like 10 times and never searched it before. I don't think this is necessarily a good indication of how popular a game is.
  24. It doesn't matter because the 10k less you get in money is far more useless than the 20k extra experience you get from monks. You can fish monks for 20 minutes and tan hides and get the same experience as sharks and more money.... See what I mean?? So monks > sharks....
