  1. MTK doesn't give yews and I can almost guarentee that is how the majority of fletchers got 99. That in turn gave mages something to alch so F2P is inderectly responsible for all the 99 mages as well. 99 mages used natures from RC and F2P (for a certain amount of time) was the main producers of essence for those mages. MTK gives P2P some independence but not enough.
  2. That is such a stupid argument. 80 people should be able to go through the bans and make actual decisions on them. Heres something from them. This is what I got back Um considering in my appeal I basically acknowledged I was in control of my account that is the stupidest thing possible they could have sent. I was banned for "breaking rule 9" which is "encouraging other to break rules". This was the evidence. Where do I encourage anybody to "break a rule". I did absolutely nothing wrong and yet I got black marks for it. He reported me for saying I had 99 magic (I said I hacked after he said reported). And please to god tip.it mods who cares if I shared this. This isn't between me and Jagex so please don't close this thread or any garbage like that.
  3. You guys can say things like Jagex's customer support isn't great because we don't pay a lot for it but I know I read somewhere that the majority of people they employ are on customer support. And honestly, there is none. Everything is automated and I know some people do deserve to be banned but the bottom line is so many bogus bans go through even though no fair and reasonable human would allow it. Heres something you can do. Make an account and then go the "forgot PW" part of RS. Just type in random stuff and eventually you will get the account. It works. I had a friend who quit and he had a decent account. I just typed in random crap and eventually got it.
  4. The arrogance of certain members will never cease to amaze me either... $5 monthly does not make you God, or give you immediate superiority over those that don't pay. But the fact is, I do pay. Sworddude does not pay, gets updates, then complains that it's not enough. That is just sad and greedy. I wish they get rid of F2P sometimes just so P2P would fail miserably. P2P is the rich countries. F2P is the sweat shops. P2P acts like F2P is a detriment but in reality without F2P, P2P would be screwed over.
  5. Disagree. Like you said, melee has halberds which allow them a 'ranged' attack. Second thing is the best things to train on usually do not hit that high. Third thing is even if you do fight something that hits decently melee can use Guthans which although it costs money to repair and isn't a 100% heal, it does significantly lower the amount of food needed. Fourth thing is anything that you fight for money has a range or magic attack which means that rangers/mages can't hide safespot from them. Last thing is in PVP (with money/items at stake) there are not places you can range over and the 1 or 2 extra hits you might get in from attacking from a distance are pretty much negated by the fact that melee is clearly stronger than both range and mage in the majority of PVP situations. So ya, I really don't see why giving range of magic super pots would be bad. Magic is so weak anything would help and giving range the pots would basically do nothing except make melee fights a little more fair if you over 30 levels.
  6. Question mark makes the sentence a question. Not a statement. Regardless I think saying free speech would get you the biggest bunch of flamers ever is a dumb thing. Tons of games have free speech/VOIP/Vent/etc... and most people are civilized on them. It really just reflects the RS community.
  7. what your saying is- hopefully some one will say this isn't profitable enough and then go mine a whole bunch of pure ess. and then he'll tell 3 people and those 3 people will tell 3 people and then...... look. that can happen with anything. from the price of coal to the price of a bar of rune. that hasn't happened yet and as far as i'm concerned this pure essence "situation" has been going on for quite a while. remember that tip.it times article about this? trust me when i say that your "solution" won't work and will not have a prayer. when there's people who will solve the problem there's people who contribute. if the price of essence starts to go down then i will just start buying instead of mining it. every one will do that. it's going to rollercoaster for a very long time untill something is done to fix these prices. i'm wondering whether or not the price of pure ess will catch up to nats or not. :-k It hasn't happened yet because making natures is still worth it. You still make money and get levels. It is actually impossible to compare to anything else ESPECIALLY something like coal because coal is not unlimited. Pure essence is never ending, there is not competition in getting it. Furthermore, rune mysteries is like the first quest you do after tutorial island and getting the required mining level (10 I think) for pure essence is a breeze. It is going to be a roller coaster but it is like putting a ball in a half pipe. For awhile the ball is going to be going up and down but every time it goes down, it goes up less. Eventually is will even out. I am strongly against this for two reasons. First one is it is just taking advantage of F2P players and using them for cheap resources. You may laugh but I am serious. Members don't want F2P to get anything unless it directly benefits them. Sad. The second reason is actually more legitimate. If you get rid of pure essence the prices will go down but they will still be VERY HIGH. I don't remember exactly where essence was before the change but it was 70+ (at least) I believe. That was with bots. Prices will probably stabilize at around 90 ea if they made this change. BUT WHAT ABOUT F2P RUNECRAFTERS!!!!! They will start losing gobs of money. F2P RC took a hit with unlimited runes in shop and the GE release. Why should we ruin F2P RC just because members no longer make 1m an hour with a lvl 44 skill???
  8. There isn't a problem in my mind that the write has never been heard off. Doesn't it seem weird though for Jagex to be hyping it like that. I mean, unless it is some big mystery puzzle or something I'm not sure why the included "New book WRITTEN BY THE AUTHOR TS CHURCH!!!". I mean, it just seems weird to me.
  9. Jagex probably only gets X amount of that money. The fact that is cost more than advertised is probably because the call took so long and your phone service is charging you extra cash. Not Jagex.
  10. Not new but not old. I don't remember when they added it but ya, it used to not matter at all.
  11. Runecrafters don't lose money. They still make money although slower. It is quite simply math to figure that out. This is only half true. It is true the bot's affected pure essence's price but on the flip side natures themselves have been dropping. It is not entirely the removable of bots that caused the fall. Right and wrong. Market as a whole crashed when bots left the game BUT there were a lot more influences especially for the nature market. Wilderness removal was a bigger factor (imo) than bots being taken out. Mage (for all its short comings) was quite useful (especially with a team) in the wilderness. Regular mage uses natures in its 'bind' spells. That wasn't a *huge* drain of natures but removal of wild certainly affected it. Pures also used to alch to 90/94 for ice barrage. Removal of wilderness means that tons of pures quit and one stopped being made. Nobody needed a huge amount of natures to get to a high level. Unbalanced Trade also had to do with it (not the bot leaving part). *A lot* (not all) of pures alched like I previously said. However, most of them got the runes/money to do it with from their mains. You make it so they can't get the money they need, they find a cheaper way of doing it. My own opinion, I don't have a problem with it. RC will always be able to make money. People in RS want two things, money and levels so bear with me for a sec. [*:1dlrz8jp]RCers buy essence and make runes because it is profitable.[*:1dlrz8jp]Essence demand goes up, prices for it goes up. [*:1dlrz8jp]Because of all the runes being crafted prices on runes go down.[*:1dlrz8jp]People decide that levels are no longer important and they need money instead.[*:1dlrz8jp]They go mine essence.[*:1dlrz8jp]The [bleep]e in the amount of essence makes prices drop and RC profitable again.[*:1dlrz8jp]*Eventually an equilibrium is reached where RC remains stable. * This condition depends on the fact that [*:1dlrz8jp]Jagex does not release any major changes to RC/Minin[*:1dlrz8jp]A constant flow of new players who want fast money enter the game[*:1dlrz8jp]Older players remain with the game long enough to take the spots of people who have already leveled RC
  12. Thoughts/Reactions? I think it is funny that When it is impossibly to get in touch with Jagex. =/ Really though, who cares. It isn't like that age limit ever stopped anybody.....
  13. I googled TS church and that is what I found.... It is kinda how I feel.
  14. DotA is the best out of all three of these games. But it is a one time fee of 20 dollars. It isn't really an MMO either. It is a mod for WC3 TFT. I play, if somebody wants more info I can give it. And discussing DotA here is kinda stupid because you don't track progress. Every game you start over.
  15. /facepalm Customer service would not get bombarded with stupid questions if the updates were good.
  16. I'm done arguing. Not because "LAWL hes a noob who can't defend his arguement" but just because this is a waste of my time. Maybe in a couple years of more "we promise this" and "we promise that" only to be let down you will understand why people like me feel this way.
  17. Yes I do know what I am talking about. You make it sound like people dislike updates because they are not directed towards them. I was just pointing out the updates in general are crap and even the people they are directed to don't like them for the most part. [hide=] Way to contradict. You say hes a moron for saying 'who cares' and your making an [wagon] of yourself by saying it twice in your own response? Nice. I also love how you speak for everyone. Did you go out and interview every last member about their thoughts on the pickaxes? Nope, I didnt think so . Once again, did you go out and ask them all if it was good or not? People stretched on cash and the 50% will make the difference between getting the level and not getting it. You need to shut up if your going to contradict yourself in the same post, and then thinking you know what people are saying or thinking, when you really dont. [/hide] Fine, I just assumed that nobody would read a post that long. Visual Changes- Great, Jagex updates Cats. To bad it requires an easier quest to go and get dogs than it does to get a cat. Furthermore, cats never looked terrible. Why does Jagex waste their time making cats more visually appealing when most people do not use them or even think they look bad?? Pick axes- Oh really?? You disagree and think being able to make pick axes is useful?? Highest price for a pick axe is 19k. Rune bars are 13k. Nice job, you just lost 7k for basically no exp. And sure, you could argue for a low level player that the ability to make a pick axe could be useful but.... addy pick axes (semi useful) are lvl 75. Now low level player is going to have that level. Furthermore, they would need to be members. Members can go pick flax for 20 minutes and buy a rune pick axe. You are just arguing for the sake of arguing now. If you are actually sitting in front of your computer saying "Gosh darnit, hes so wrong!!! I am making a fortune making pick axes!!!" than you are just an idiot. Quick Chat- How about less Ad Hominem and actually tell me whether you disagree with what I said. And OK (Major sarcasm Ok), maybe 99% of the players don't think its useless, EXCUSE ME (more sarcasm) for thinking that you would understand that I was just pointing out the majority of players give less the a dam about this. Bone Grinder- You can walk up to random players and ask them to use their altar. One will say yes. And I looked back at the post, I was wrong. They made it easier to grind silver bars into silver dust. My fault. But in fact, I am happy I was wrong because this reinforces my point even more. The only purpose for silver dust is for a "Guthix Balance Potion" (I think) and this is only used in one quest I believe. WOW That is really being in touch with the players. I mean, the Rants Forum was filled with complaints about silver bar grinding going to slow. Anything else you want me to clarify on?? How about you stop picking apart my posts and respond to the entire thing. Great, you find a couple little things that MIGHT be wrong if you take them incredibly literally but my gosh, I'd almost rather deal with RSOF because at least you know your going to get un-intelligent replys, I guess coming here and expecting the opposite was stupid of me.
  18. DotA is AoS. But DotA rapes [wagon] and I would seriously recommend it to everybody. Very fun, very balanced, (not exactly a) great community, and it is like 20 bucks to buy. Coolcobro, no you can't get 99 in members skills. And WOW you can 99 in every skill but who cares?? What exactly are you going to do with those 99's. Make a *wait for it* RUNE PLATE!!!!
  19. They chose to hide it from us, so what? Does it really bother you that much that they decided to take down the poll? What the hell does that do to you, does it hurt you in any way by not knowing every single little thing? And of course Jagex does something wrong with every update. Wanna know why? Because no update caters to every single player out there. Even if there's only one player who disagrees with the update, it's considered "something wrong" by that person, isn't it? What really bothers many people are the players who hate Jagex, hate every single update they've done in a while, and hate the game now too yet they still keep playing. You are beyond wrong. This entire thread is about Jagex hiding things and you claiming they don't. When I provide evidence your counter is "Who cares???". That doesn't make any sense. No [bleep] every update doesn't cater to every player. It really shouldn't matter though if they are good updates. I will post the last month of complete updates to prove my point (Mays because June was missing two weeks). [*:tiqnyh14]Behind the Scenes- Nothing noteworthy really....[*:tiqnyh14]New Forum-Reporting Academy- Not a game update but basically a waste of time to let people know, it isn't like Jagex even reads reports so why does it matter[*:tiqnyh14]Summoning Poll Results- I believe Phoenix won and we don't know much else except Jagex will probably botch what could be a great summon and just make it mediocre[*:tiqnyh14]Law Tally Changes- They changed the reward for the "SO HARD" troll stronghold quest. I complained about this because you could range every monster needed to beat that quest. All you needed was some wind strikes and food for the thrower trolls. SO HARD[*:tiqnyh14]Perils Of Ice Mountain- Great, a quest that lets us smith our own pic axes. Except with the current economy not only do you waste 10 minutes getting the bars and stuff, you waste like 10k depending on which metal you are making. Also included visual changes ---->> Who cares Quick Option for Dark Mage in Abby---->> Thats nice and I don't think anybody whined about it Option to Trade is summoning pouches for shards---->> That was nice and only the stupid people who alched all their pouches whined Bone Grinder made easy---->> Who uses that anyway with guilded altar??[*:tiqnyh14]An Image of the Future- Got us excited with new graphics, no complaints[*:tiqnyh14]Party Pete and Tzharr Changes- Visual changes. I don't know how many times they have to change party petes dam look. After awhile it just becomes stupid. BTW, that is two graphic updates this month, so much for the graphics team working hard on getting Beta and its bugs worked out! Also made it so you can enter buildings with roofs easier in high detail which is actually a great update. I always got annoyed by that.[*:tiqnyh14]TokTz-Ket-Dill- Second quest of the month, I don't really know anything about it but it looks like it gave some nice exp. If mining area was useful even better, don't think many people whined about this except maybe requirements but once again those are noobs and can be ignored.[*:tiqnyh14]Players Gallery- I enjoy looking at this, too bad they didn't post my 8 page letter telling them what they do wrong.[*:tiqnyh14]An image of the Not-to distant future- Basically propaganda, waste more time making those announcements and waste players time reading. The first announcement was enough.[*:tiqnyh14]Level up messages- Hmmm slightly torn, I hate seeing everything made so easy for new players but at the same time it is nice. Especially how it doesn't cancel in combat. The sign posts are stupid and I honestly think a waste of Jagex's time to code. I mean, who honestly cares about "How many goblins were killed" or other garbage. Tears of Guthix now lets you know better when to return. I never played this so I don't know how accurate it was before but I don't see a problem with this.[*:tiqnyh14]Quick Chat- Lucky us!!! Now people with typing speeds of.... 10 can say there messages. We may actually get some punctuation in RS too!!!! Good update for muted players and those "10 year olds" that can now play because they are in a sheltered enviroment. For the other 99% of Runescape I have a feeling that this was a big waste of time and will be used in non productive stupid ways and mostly to spam. Hotkeys were changed too, no biggy...[*:tiqnyh14]Development Diary- Hurrah!! Pretty cool, got me excited.[*:tiqnyh14]Postbag from the hedge- Sometimes fun to read and contains some nice spoilers but instead of having some guy write stupid Jagex humor for two hours I would have rather had him walking around the beta testing for bugs.... But that is me So those were the updates for the month. I count about 5 actual in game updates and then a plethora of crap and propaganda spewed out by Jagex. So be honest when you answer, who exactly do these updates cater too? Does the ability to make pic axes for 10x the price it takes to buy cater to ANYBODY?? Quick Chat caters to muted players (who believe me, I sympathize) but what about 99% of Runescape who isn't muted?? Oh great, we can now tell the lvl 30's in castlewars to not take the flag and drop it with quick chat instead. Hurrah!
  20. Absolutely it should matter. The Runescape community, as a whole, has a nasty habit of hating everything new that comes out, until several months later when they've all had a chance to try it out. I'll bet you my left foot that most of the people who said they didn't like Farming had not even tried it yet, or were simply trolling as many Runescaper's do. Adding on; if the poll were re-cast today, I'm fairly certain that many, many players would indeed say farming is at least "okay", because it really is a big money-maker on the right crops. So how come they are still hiding it from us?? Besides, Jagex is obviously doing something wrong if that many people dislike every update Jagex does.
  21. says the guy who posted a fake pic about a new sailing skill
  22. Lol... In your own words the graphics don't change anything so why should we be grateful lol.
  23. Yes the poll was like a week after farming was released, should it matter?? The bottom line is that Jagex took the information and hid it from us. Actually I think there are ways to please that "select" few. BH needs to have one person hunting you and ONLY one person. Furthermore rouge hunters shouid not be able to attack you unless you aren't in combat. Next thing is they should make you stay in the crater for a mandatory 5 minutes after entering. Then they should force you to bring a certain amount of items proportional to combat level to stop all the 1 itemers. They should change it so after you get a kill you have 10 (example number) seconds of invulnerability to prevent pile jumpers. The last thing they should do is change ALL combat so if you are attacking something you are in combat even if is not attacking you.
  24. Well considering you created your tip.it account in february I assume you have been playing for maybe a year. Maybe this is why you believe the stuff Jagex says. Maybe if you had been around longer you would realize that Jagex once cared about the players and not just about the money, they actually had a way to contact them and ask questions. And the poll just said how do you feel about farming and basically 90%+ people said it sucked and Jagex messed up big time. The poll was closed and became "unavailable" and it seems Jagex removed it from their website. No they piss everybody off with offense appeals. I got warned by some noob once while I was woodcutting for saying "I am hacking". No joke. If there had been a real person there who had looked at the dialogue at all they probably would have ended up banning the other idiot.
  25. I will answer your post when you answer mine, I don't want some dodge. If Jagex is man enough to admit their mistakes and don't try to mask things that people don't like how come that poll about farming where about 95% of the people in it said it sucked disappeared?? Answer that for me and I will answer your questions. One more thing about polls, if Jagex listened to their players they wouldn't need "Mandatory content" polls (or w.e they're called), they would make every poll a mandatory update because theoretically it should reflect the players opinions best.
