Best all around slayer gear?
In general, for monsters that don't mage you, you'll want: Slayer helm Fury Bandos chest and tassets D boots Rapier Dragon defender Barrows gloves Fire cape Berserker (i) or normal berserker D claws for specs Sometimes you'll switch out Bandos for Karil's or elite void (for the prayer bonus and mage def), and in Kuradal's dungeon you'll obviously use ferocious ring. It's pretty easy to tell when you need to switch out equipment.

Range, Magic, Defence in Dungeoneering
OH but he can't use primal equipment anyway, it's promethium. In that case, basically the only options here are spear and 2h. It's not worth the melee DPS loss to switch to a 1h weapon, they all REALLY suck compared to the spear and 2h. I was sitting here thinking it was prom 2h vs primal something. The spear might be a good choice, because it allows you to cover stab, which is rare, and mage, which is less common. 2h has better raw dps, of course, but you'd be limited to slash only, and you'd be worse at it than everyone else. The longsword is just... so bad.

Changes to Lunar 'other' spells in single-way combat
Oh come now, there's a big [bleep]ing sign on it that says HEY YOU'RE GOING INTO THE WILDERNESS!!! I don't see any reason to remove it. It's a convenient way to get a PKing group to deep wild, and you have to be so, so, SO dumb to be lured by it.

I'm pretty sure spears only have 3 options, all controlled. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Primal_spear Nah bro.

Hey, I'm on a raft in that general area. We should meet up and go looting.

Changes to Lunar 'other' spells in single-way combat
When I used to corp waaay back in the day before overloads and spec restores, we would use spec transfer to get more specs out of one stat hammer use- it degrades a full minute when you equip it but then you can spec away if a couple people top off your bar. Granted, that's a niche use that's largely irrelevant because of stat hammers being insanely expensive, and that's in multi anyway, but still. No reason to limit it outside PvP in case someone found another niche use of that nature.

Range, Magic, Defence in Dungeoneering
...Why longsword? I didn't see a single person suggest that, and it's pretty widely considered to be a crappy weapon. If you want stab, I'd use either a primal spear (I'm pretty sure that has a defensive stab option), or a primal rapier.

Quick Construction Question
Zaaps just posted a very good explanation of why carrying planks with you is stupid, I suggest you read it. Laura, I'm sorry for my "flame," but when the same guy posts wrong answers 30% of the time he posts in H&A, it gets a little frustrating following him around and making sure he doesn't confuse people who need help.

Changes to Lunar 'other' spells in single-way combat
I'm surprised so many people are whining about how this effects the wild. Last I checked, the point of single combat was supposed to be NOT having to fight someone too cowardly to fight you without 15 friends behind him. Vengeance other and spec transfer defeated the whole point of that- infinite Korasi specs as long as you have more friends to transfer. I agree that this is stupid for non-PvP situations though.

Quick Construction Question
This, and I just checked the money thing, and it's the same number of options with cash in the bank or not, and he does not take a banking turn to go get it.
-
Quick Construction Question
Right click -> take from bank and then repeat last command is quicker since you don't have to drag your mouse from the inventory to the butler. It's also less annoying when you accidentally send the butler to bank again while he still has planks if all your planks are in your bank anyway. Otherwise you'll then have most of your planks in notes and then like 5 or 6 in the bank. I thought you still had to do a payment dialog regardless of whether you have cash in your inventory or not.

Herblore method
Making all of the super sets and range/mage pots wastes a LOOOT of money. It's easier and less math to be an "efficiency nerd" as you put it, and just make one potion, decided for you by Grimy's spreadsheet, until you can start doing untradables.
-
Quick Construction Question
You don't take noted planks nor money with you anymore.

Future Update Discussions
Possibly. Given the order of the BTS though, I'd be kind of surprised if it weren't out at the same time as the other stuff. It's not exactly the sort of thing you can make a teaser picture about. My hope is that next week will be RoW, Pirates, and trolls, and then the last week of March will have a surprise Dungeoneering update where we finally find out what the strange power was about.

Waitaminute, RoW improvements and troll graphics were next on the BTS. Is it out of order, or are we getting them AND the pirate quest next week and then nothing for the rest of the month? O_o

Range, Magic, Defence in Dungeoneering
Thnaks for the advice. Blitzer and blazer are very close in terms of dps - the difference is something like 0.6 damage per second, due to rounding. But blazer conserves runes, so blazer is better if you're a pure mage. Blitzer is arguably better that isn't an issue. You shouldn't be a pure mage in dungeoneering, you are a burden to your team if you are a pure anything but melee. But, since he would have to not use berserker/tactitian, he'd be a burden then as well. It's just a matter of how to be the least cumbersome. Being a keyer obviously goes a long way to that as well, since keyers don't fight nearly as much as everyone else.

Range, Magic, Defence in Dungeoneering
I'm not sure how possible it'll even be to get that skillset while getting 120 dungeoneering. You definitely never want to non-key again, and just avoid combat as much as possible while you're keying. Have the team start the boss before the floor is done as much as possible, never participate in a GD, etc. You'll almost certainly end up meleeing to 95 defense and then switching to range/mage hybrid, eventually having to cut out the magic and pure range. And you won't even be able to get a hex, because that's 98 ranged -.- You're in for a long, annoying road of people leaving your team when they see your binds, and with good reason. You're going to be incredibly ineffective. Also, watch out for those strength doors. They give a fair amount of exp, you could easily accidentally open enough for 96 on your way to 120.

08-Mar-2011 Artisans Workshop
No, it really isn't. Tester: "Hmm, what are some things I should not be able to do with a cannon?" If that was anywhere on their list of things to test, this wouldn't have happened. A good testing process has stages like that to catch the little things that developers may have overlooked. The Jagex testing system seems to be randomly pushing for bugs with no real method, and NEVER touching the content the way a player would.

Dice game
Ah. And regarding the trust, at first that's true. It takes like 10 minutes to get a game going, but when you have a crowd of people around you constantly betting and announcing "omg I won 3m woooot!!!", people end up trusting you, with good reason. Once I was to that point I frequently had new people walk up and hand over 500k, because I was pretty obviously not a scammer. I also showed a 360m cashpile to anyone who asked and was wearing a divine. It would also just be so dumb to scam. Here I am, surrounded by people handing me about 50k-5m and letting me keep an average of 10% of whatever they hand me, and they're HAPPY about it. Why on earth would I want to drive them away for a one time bonus of a maximum of like 5m?

Dice game
Decided to go try this out, hosted a 60x2 99x3 game. It's actually quite fun. Ended up about 15m up after about an hour and a half, and it would've been significantly more if one guy hadn't gotten a freak accident 100 roll on a 2m bet. Then again, another guy lost a 4m bet and countless people lost 1m bets, so... The guy who won 6m was actually really interesting. He came up, started betting low, but pretty quickly was like 3m up after winning several big bets in a row with small losses in between. Claimed he was psychic, started advising other people what to bet lol. Then he lost 1.5m and 2 1m bets, which cleaned him. After crying and begging for his money back for a while, he went and sold his gold wizard robes and bet his bank AGAIN, won, and was back in the game. Went up and down for a while, at one point he was 2m down, then he bet 2m and won the 6m. He wisely took off after that lol. All in all, it's incredible to me how people get hooked on this, and convinced that the next time they'll make everything back. I even had one guy saying how much he loved me because I actually pay out- I'm not sure if he was aware that he was down 2.5m at that point.

You can try it, but I suspect people will see through it better, and also the whole finding partners thing would slow down business a lot.

Dice game
The profit of the dice game comes largely from obscuring the odds. Most players are simply stupid enough that it doesn't really occur to them to do math and find whether they'll win or lose money on average. They just see that they might double OR triple their money and that's all they need to hear. Putting it into a middle man situation like that does a very poor job of obscuring the odds. Anyone can look at that and go, hey, why the hell should we pay that guy 10% when we could just bet against each other directly and win more? Additionally, you have to find TWO suckers instead of one, and you have to do more trades. @Helm_Larder... wat?
