  1. You'd have no trouble getting on teams. When people do most of the floors you'd be doing at level 80, they basically expect some lower levels to join up.
  2. Doubling overall loss would get ridiculous really fast. 100k 200k (300k overall) 600k (900k overall) 1.8m (2.7m overall) 5.4m (8.1m overall) 16.2m (24.3m overall) 48.6m (72.9m overall) 145.8m (218.7m overall) 437.4m (656.1m overall) 1312.2m (1968.3m overall) That's as far as max cash would get you. 10 losses in a row loses you 1968.3m. 8 losses in a row cleans you if you have under 656.1m cashpile, 7 for under 218.7m. Bad odds IMO (well, not really an opinion- they ARE bad odds). You'll get away with it for a while, but your high chance of winning comes at the cost of someday losing an insane amount of money, much more than you're likely to ever win before that happens.
  3. Depends how high you bet surel. My crapp[y little maths bit about doubling losses, losing 7 times in a row you only need 97.2m if you lose 6 times in a row, which if it's only you betting is pretty insanely unlikely. Surely if you always start at a few hundred ks and go back to that everytime you get cleaned it's pretty insanely impossible to not win at some point. IF you had 1b for example you could lose 9/10 times (I think) in a row. Which is insanely bad luck! Yes, but when you get that insanely bad luck, you lose a bil that you were risking for 100k. That's a LOT of money to put on the line even if your chances of losing are in the decimals of a percent territory. Especially because 100k is NOTHING to someone with a 1b bank, so I don't see anyone with that much money bothering in the first place unless they're starting at at least 500k. Otherwise you're probably risking your bank for worse cash/hour than frost dragons. I personally would also stop taking bets at around the 50-80m mark simply due to not having the liquid assets to cover many bets of that magnitude, so after a certain number of bad rolls you have to go find another dicer with a bigger cashpile and let me keep however many tens of millions you forked over.
  4. At what point is it appropriate to kick someone from a floor for not listening? I assume for a first offense, unless unusually severe, I should suck it up and finish the floor, especially since I'm not a ranked keyer. Also, if hosting a floor, am I obligated to take anyone in the CC who wishes to join, or if I have some reason, personal or otherwise, for not wishing to take someone is it allowed to pass them up? edit: Not that this is currently an issue, just for future reference. First off, you have no obligation to take anyone from the CC. Any player can decline to offer any other player a spot for whatever reason, just try really hard not to start drama over it. My rule for kicking people is if someone is A) actively slowing down the floor, B) has the ability to stop, and C) hasn't stopped after more than two warnings. I haven't ever had to kick someone from a DGS team, but I apply the same rules to 148ers and 3boers, and they end up getting kicked every once in a while. For example, I once had a dude with a worldbearer full of food he fished during GDs, which I told him not to do. Then he declined to share it with anyone. I told him to share again because we were starting the boss and he was the only one with food, and he said to fish our own. We kicked him and it was like a [bleep]ing pinata. Good times.
  5. He means that he doesn't need a second cls as a placeholder, because he never takes it out of the bank anyway.
  6. Well, it really is that strict (in a sense), but 99% of the time people are actually trying very hard to learn/improve, so the strictness rarely shows its head. Unfortunately in the few cases we've had to crack down, someone ends up taking it personally and posting here, which - as stated, is the fastest way to get in big trouble. Yeah, this. We're incredibly lucky in DGS, in that the vast majority of people feel privileged to be there and as a result end up doing what they're told quickly and learning from it if they make mistakes. I'll make fun of people who make mistakes a bit if I'm keying, but it's rare for me to actually feel like someone doesn't deserve their slot. The problem is when you get self-important scum right out of 148 who don't feel like listening to the keyer and improving their technique. Talking back to the keyer (ranked or not!) and arguing during a floor is an excellent way to get raged at and then kicked, because it's never productive. Discuss technique while the floor timer isn't ticking, and in the mean time shut up and do what you're told. Otherwise, you won't last long here.
  7. How on earth did you spend 12 minutes on necro? Even using the no food method it shouldn't take that long. Everyone should either get surges or a t9 or 10 longbow with fractite arrows bought from the smuggler, and then shoot it until it dies.
  8. Ouch, that's the worst. Hope you discover a burning passion for DG while you earn it back. That's what happened to me when I lost my first chaotic :P
  9. No, she means rapier. DDS is inaccurate enough that it could easily average less damage per special than a plain rapier hit on higher defense monsters like miths.
  10. I'm serious. Think of something that you'd like to do while fletching broad bolts and you can probably do it. Asking people to list every single activity in RuneScape is not productive, it's better to ask specifically if you can do this or that while fletching.
  11. It would probably be quicker to list the things that can't be done while fletching broad bolts.
  12. Worth noting that you can take 2 doses of brew per tick- any more than that and you'll have to drink a dose or restore afterwards, or else your stats will still be below 125 when the reboost happens.
  13. I'm not sure where you're getting that. Abandons are incredibly easy IMO- the enemies are scaled to be easier, and there are much fewer mages to take the hood off. There also aren't any really annoying monsters that can see through hoods besides forgotten mages (and of course the omnipresent shades), it's mostly just bats, rats, spiders, etc. The bosses are a little annoying I suppose, but not really much worse than the average occult boss, if at all. The main thing is just the low exp per floor- when you start getting into warpeds, that 60-70k vs. 120k+ looks a lot less worthwhile.
  14. Sup hoodless DGSers Was doing some C2s and saw a night spider in a dead end. Killed it for kicks and...
  15. That comparison is wrong. The korasi spec is one hit....it is ONLY magic. The only thing that melee relates to it is how high you can hit (your str level) The KS is NOT 1 melee, and 1 mage attack. This. The specials aren't similar in any relevant way.
  16. Previous names: il Barbie li - il Ken li S T E V - S T E Vs Gal A few more... Current names: il Foreva li - il Alwayz li It's kinda hard not to tell. :P. Ew. And you're surprised people see you as a target?
  17. me to but can you read my maths and tell me if it's wrong. it's always better to get 1m bets than 100k, 100ks arnt fun. but yeah read my post wwith the maths please and then.. assuming that you do that and as soon as you win you start over, and it's only you betting. is it not guarenteed you'll win? I read your post. They have a great chance of winning 100k or whatever they're starting with over several bets, and a small chance of losing THEIR WHOLE BANK. I'll take those odds, no problem. On average, I still take 10% of whatever they bet, they can't change that without an unlimited cashpile.
  18. No, c1's. C2's are just c1's with fish and wood. Isn't that the idea....or did I miss something? The comments where i mentioned c1's were about how you do c1's. C2's are just like c1's but for the resources. As for dropping, as i never use mousekeys, dropping seems somewhat slower than logging, and particularly when you do it for full inv of 26 fish. Yeah, without mousekeys I'd agree. With mousekeys though, I can do a column (7 fish) in just a couple seconds, so it's pretty negligible.
  19. I host, and I LOVE when people start doubling bets. They're essentially betting their entire bank against like 100k. Sure, they might win several strings in a row (which is a small enough loss that I don't notice it, with all the other bets going on), but then sometimes they'll get unlucky, lose several in a row, and I'm up several mil. Every trade that goes through me, I take 10%. No amount of silly little math games people play are going to change that, and this particular little game people play ends up with me getting progressively larger bets to take my chunk from. I'd much rather have people betting 1m+ than the usual 100k betters.
  20. Freaky- you are why dice games work. Enjoy losing your bank with your "foolproof plan."
  21. How did Sara sword even get into this discussion? All I see is some bizarre, fallacious comparison between it and Korasi. Nobody is claiming it's any good, so perhaps you guys should just drop it. Claws are a lot better than Korasi generally, but korasi is better in single combat against very high defense. That basically means miths. DDS is better against opponents with very low hp, so you can one-hit four of them instead of just two with claws.
  22. Sounds like the best option to me  Also, once you made 1 platebody, platelegs, kiteshield, full helmet and boots, what else is there to do? Make more of that untradeable item? Why? At least herblore supplies can be used up. O_o. So? Something being makable with a skill doesn't have to mean you want to make 50,000 of it. Would you ever make 1k furies? Well, say you get your Smithing to 95 for the ultra omega death sword and the uber 1337 platebody. You make one. Now what? Continue to train with mithril / adamant for minimal XP only for the cape? Not's not a whole lot different. People can use extremes and overloads to train and get 99 Herblore. I'm not going to say it would be ideal, but I really don't see the problem with making the stuff once and never making it again unless I die with it. I've still been rewarded for my smithing level. Just because overloads can be used to train to 99 doesn't mean every high level reward EVER has to follow the same model.
  23. Sounds like the best option to me  Also, once you made 1 platebody, platelegs, kiteshield, full helmet and boots, what else is there to do? Make more of that untradeable item? Why? 24. That's very true about the fake women that play. Apparently their all from florida and they will have names like Sarah/amy/Jess. lol. On runescape you can tell the fake girls. Blonde hair, pigtails. And they usually act like a boy. Other then that I kinda don't like being called a guy player. But who else to blame, but 12 yr old boys. But I end up going around with my fiance on rs usually so I don't really get that guy comment much, which I'm happy about. As for me 22/f/nj name is Lisa. I don't quite get it. You don't get pestered alot because you go around with your fiancé in the game? And your fiancé has a much larger, muscular body in the game hence frightening away the immature 12 yr olds who otherwise would harrass you in-game? :ohnoes: When I'm with my GF playing Soul Wars or something, me being there seems to make it worse... Oddly enough. They do it simply to piss me off. Lol. Lol, maybe if everyone couldn't TELL you were a couple they wouldn't want to piss you off. When I see a guy and girl following each other around calling each other hon and going *kiss*, I see a 13 year old sucker and a guy pretending to be a girl for money. The impulse to make fun of them is pretty understandable (not that I do it).
