  1. I gave specific directions- if you need better than that go look up a Wilderness map.
  2. They are multicombat, but you ought to be able to find places to stand where only one fire giant can attack you. Yeah, that's really fun if you like competing for giants. I don't think the poster can even left click attack them yet- he won't get any.
  3. Tanking has nothing to do with the armor you wear, it's a type of fighting. There's praying, where you take hits from the monster but protect against them with prayer, thus taking no damage. Then there's safespotting, where you stand where you can't be hit and shoot the monster. Finally, there's tanking, which is letting the monster damage you while you range it.
  4. Go to the Chaos Tunnel rift north of the Grand Exchange- it should take you to a room with giant rock crabs. In the room directly to the East, there are fire giants. Melee them with your best stuff there, teleporting to Edgeville for more food. It shouldn't be hard to keep it so only one it attacking you at one time, and most other fire giant spots are extremely crowded.
  5. IM not sure if i have to combat levels, and the monsters to get that many charms. Erm, granite lobster is like 16 summoning - after the quest you get enough charms for it. You're thinking of granite crab- granite lobster is at 74. 74 summoning really isn't that high. It won't take long at all compared to 99 fishing, and it will help a lot. Plus, it's not like you're never, ever going to want a high summoning level. 74 summoning will help your fishing, but 99 fishing won't do a thing to make summoning easier.
  6. Just reinforcing what others have said- you should NEVER fish sharks unless you want a big shark for your wall. Monkfish are ridiculously better for cash and exp.
  7. I highly doubt this. I never follow rumours, and it's a good idea you shouldn't. A big game like runescape is full ob bs. I have suspected this for a long time, and had it nearly confirmed when the first enchanted bolt update came out. You see, people were confused about what an "armor piercing" effect on diamond bolts meant. After speculation and argument, somebody took a bunch of them to giant rock crabs and let loose. The results were terrible- something like 3 special effects in 1000 bolts. After a lot of arguing and people dismissing the bolts as useless, the Jagex mod who programmed them spoke up. She explained that base defense and the "ranged defense" armor bonus have very different roles. The base defense will effect accuracy of attacks, while the ranged armor bonus will effect how hard the attack hits. So, if you shoot a diamond bolt at something and it HITS, and a special is triggered, then you get to act as though the ranged armor bonus is 0, and thus have a high chance of hitting high damage. This seems to be the case with weapons as well. A higher attack bonus means a higher chance of a high hit, but has nothing to do with accuracy. Accuracy is determined by something else. We can see this at work with a dragon halberd- it has a huge slash attack bonus, but I never noticed hitting any less 0s than with a whip. In fact, I felt that it was extremely inaccurate. We can also, of course, see this with the Sara sword. Please feel free to go try it yourself- I think you will find that it is extremely accurate compared to a dragon scimitar. Note that enchanted bolts have since had an overhaul (they were extremely useless in the past), and thus diamond bolts don't work that way anymore. They now actually have a max hit bonus as well.
  8. Considering the fact that pray ranging is generally considered better exp and cash anyway, I wouldn't even consider making the switch until at least 85 defense. Even at 99 I take more damage than I like when I get a streak of bad luck.
  9. Took the words right out of my mouth. "Hey I can wear barrows now I'm invincible right?" No, you still need to get your defense at least half-decent before you can go tank ranging. hey u dont need to be a arse i kno im not invinsible its ppl like u tht have no life and spend there whole life mocking ppl on the comp bcuz there a higher lvl... Lol wow. I didn't know some people thought having a low defense level was such Serious Business
  10. You need 30 summoning to wear an ENCHANTED rune helm that holds scrolls. #-o
  11. Took the words right out of my mouth. "Hey I can wear barrows now I'm invincible right?" No, you still need to get your defense at least half-decent before you can go tank ranging.
  12. The Sara sword is pretty definitely better exp- it seems to be more accurate as well (accuracy is a hidden stat on weapons- slash bonus is different. Higher slash bonus means that if you do hit, it's likely to hit harder. You still need accuracy to make the hit in the first place). People have done tests and things- I haven't personally because I've had 99 strength for quite a while.
  13. Stocking up on obsidian charms is horribly ineffective. Don't do it. Either waste the blues on low level titans if you don't plan on going past 89 summoning, or save them up for geysers if you do. It IS a waste of blues to use them on anything but geysers though- 89 isn't even halfway to 99, may as well get the most exp you can out of the best charms. I like how you agree with me, and then say my idea is horrible without saying why.
  14. Dunno what the max hit in F2P is, but I can tell you how to get it. R2H, rune gauntlets, ruby amulet, 15% str prayer and strength potion.
  15. The rules of void stacking are kind of strange- I don't use void melee enough to know. Some people will tell you that it stacks with salve/berserker necklace, some will say it doesn't. Assuming void is a different thing entirely, this is all true.
  16. Pretty sure it was 25. I don't expect to always win, but just the fact that your whole team can desert you without the game compensating you in some way screams poor design to me. It was extremely frustrating and leaves me with no desire to repeat the experience at all. Sure, if we had balanced teams and lost fair and square I'd have given it another go, but this was another story entirely. It also didn't help that the entire opposing team was made up of twelve year olds going "OMG LOL WERE BEATING A 134 WHAT A NOOB."
  17. You should get a granite lobster, without question. 99 fishing will take FOREVER, no sense in not having the best familiar possible while you get it.
  18. I doubt it's worth it. Then again, I hate that minigame- played it once and my team failed and left. By the last round I was the only one on my team. This was after I tried to play, got left behind while reading the rules, and then told I had left early and thus had to wait 25 minutes. Yeah. I keep meaning to go back, but... So yeah, a very biased "don't bother" from me.
  19. Wait, so it says deferred and you're not allowed to try appealing? Maybe that means they're going to take it off O_o. Weird. Thanks :)
  20. They don't have enough people reading appeals to look at yours yet, so a robot made it say deferred.
  21. It means that they're putting off your appeal. You've pretty clearly been breaking rules though, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.
  22. You are not going to use the thousands of pouches you produce on the way to 85 summoning. You probably won't use ANY cobras or plants. Just make whichever one is more efficient for exp and then trade them out for shards. Okay, am I right to say that familars below 80 worth keeping are the three basic titans, bunyip, terror birds, talon beast for pouch making, some abyss monster. Thx in advance. Pretty much. I wouldn't make any basic titans though- save your blues for geysers if you ever plan on getting there. And if you do make them, they're pretty badly outclassed by the bunyip in most situations and the unicorn in all situations.
  23. ...What? Training Summoning will not make you unable to wear a rune full helm. Not sure where you got that crazy idea.
  24. You are not going to use the thousands of pouches you produce on the way to 85 summoning. You probably won't use ANY cobras or plants. Just make whichever one is more efficient for exp and then trade them out for shards.
  25. I think the left eye patch they drop is worth something like 40k... besides that, who knows.
