  1. Agreed. I haven't pked in a year, but the ones that were quick to insult usually logged at lumbridge after they died. haha You'll also find that a lot of players do the same thing in Runescape, their called showoffs. Having a higher level somehow makes them feel better :? Why are people still trying to seperate the attitudes of players. What is the difference between a main and pure acting like an idiot? Both are idiots.
  2. You mean when a terrorist is caught with an actual bomb around their chest, and that intelligence indicates there is a high potential that he has other accomplices ready to attack? Then I would have to agree on torture being used as a last resort to gain information. If I remember correctly some of the 'terrorist' that were caught, were actually dobbed in by disgruntled neighbours or by feuding clans. These same 'terrorist' were not tried till years later, and were tortured. That just seems wrong. Atleast find them guilty before conducting any sort of torture. Even then I would find it hard to accept the use of torture, unless there was that immediate danger.
  3. No problem. My username on UrT is DoN-helpRmonKeY.
  4. Wow. I thought it would of lasted the whole 12 rounds since Hatton was undefeated at 140 pounds, with just Pacquiao winning slightly on points. But second round KO? Wah! Hats off to both though, both are gentlemen and respectful boxers. Pacquiao vs. Mayweather  Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
  5. I play UrT too. I usually play on Net q3ut, KMA servers or any other Aussie servers. Anyway good luck on your runecrafting and magic goals.

  7. The U.S is probably doing the same thing. What better way to defeat an enemy, then by making their technology redundant. World War III - Cyberwars.
  8. True, but what is wrong with saving ones soul? The Church is not anti-scientific.
  9. From a Catholic point of view, I don not want anyone going to hell. Catholics do not hate gays. Catholics only disagree with their actions. Catholics see it as a 'disorder'. Like single men/women, they are required to abstain from sex. If a Catholic hated gays so much, all they would have to do is stop preaching. To a Catholic, Hell is the worst punishment ever imaginable.

    Bullies

If someone goes out to use excessive verbal abuse, e.g "You are a [bleeping] [bleep], your mum [bleeped] other men for money, you should go [bleeping] die, no one likes you [bleep] face". If it's that bad, than man that bully has major issues for real... Some people that try to ignore bullies can't pull it off. You can actually see them trying to ignore them. Though when they 'try' to ignore them, their body language still reveals their real emotions. Bullies will look for any hint that their comments are affecting you. I guess your body language should also reflect that you don't care, else it won't work at all. Last resort (if you can take on the bully) is to open a can of woop [wagon]. Or cry like a baby. waah *sob* why me *sob* *sob* ... no don't it.
  11. My prediction is players will now be able to sit on the benches. You click on rest and you will sit on the nearest bench. (and maybe restore your run x2)!?? I swear Jagex talked about this before...
  12. Hi Iamdan, I' am guessing you have been to a YOU session, since you have done the medical. I have also applied for the ADF (Technician Electrical and Technician Electronic Systems in the Army). Did you have to do additional testing? On the aptitude outline it says there would be additional testing for "Other Specialist Occupations"), would this apply to me? I guess you have to look at the lifestyle, the pay, where you would be deployed and what ranks that can be acheived to decide which career you would want. Training and studying will go by fast, so I would go for avionics technician in the airforce. Anyway goodluck with the rest of the application process, I've got my YOU session on the 18th...
  13. The majority of people, though hesitant, will still obey an authority. It also shows people usually associate authority with legitimacy. Good authority => legitimacy => greater control over people In the milgram experiment I would question the experiment, but still continue. I would discontinue the experiment at the 'agony' point. I guess it says that authorities need to be questioned to ensure they are not abusing their legitimacy. Such as if a State sends it's troops to war.
  14. So essentially free will has never existed. I'll have to wait until something happens till I can make a decision. I've finished my post so I' am going to press submit.
  15. It's not that I think all Christians are perfect, it was just that the comment was somewhat lacking. To an extent it was like saying all white people are racist or since so and so did this it must reflect that particular society. I'll agree that neither believers and non-believers are morally superior to each other. After all we are all human.
  16. Yet such people do not reflect the true Catholic doctorine. For instance pedophilia is considered a sin. Would you still consider them Catholics? So where do we get our morals from? Also knowing about the saving grace of God and not telling anyone, is in my opinion more selfish. Either people listen or don't.
  17. All time - Zezima / Gower brothers 15 minute fame - Timmy
  18. They could change the chosen display name to blue or whatever colour so that the original can be differentiated from a fake. Also I think the 'Lets all name ourselves Zezima phase' would last for a week till people begin to be creative. One problem would be how would you report the dozens of rule breaking 'Zezima's' out of the innocent ones. I do see a simple solution to this (report "zezima", logs the report of all the zezima's in chat, somehow reverts the display name to original name for Jagex, Jagex takes action on rule breakers), but would mean 'extra' work for Jagex report abuse staff. Also they would have to implement a limit on how many times you can change your display name, say every 30 minutes. Special characters sounds good too, will allow tags for clans, fansites etc. On a side note; Imagine the chaos for warring clans with the same name. "Pile Player X" *See's a whole bunch of people named Player X and becomes confused*
  19. Someone did bring up a good point; why is Jagex having trouble monitoring RWT in BH? Prior to the wilderness and trade limit changes, Jagex had stated they had a sophisticated system in tracking RWT'ers. They've also stated before that they know if a person is gift giving or down right RWT. The crater levels caused strict limitations on RWT'ers (levels needed to enter a crater). A RWT would have to train/steal an account and make money on the account to transfer to their buyer. All of which would take time. And from what I understand the majority of RWT'ers transfers occur in medium or high level craters. So my solution is to ban the RWT accounts. Cut off the way RWT transfer and fustrate them into wasting their time training/stealing accounts and making money.A lot of people say it's easy to spot RWT, so why can't Jagex do it then? On another note people confirm that RWT is done during quieter times - doesn't this imply that very few people RWT? Not thousands or hundreds of accounts - but a mere few? Making it easier to target the select few who choose to RWT? As for the changes in BH, I'm siding with the idea that Jagex is going to implement the pvp drop system as they had mentioned pvp in the post. As for the "quit already" statements, maybe some people love this game and decided to wait it out until actual positive changes occured. You can say others had done the same, but those people couldn't care less because it "didn't affect them".
  20. But why is an abortion any different to a miscarriage, when both (referring to the thing/mass of cells/fetus/baby) are at the same level. Why would it be cold if that is what it is. I've never heard a mother refer to what is growing inside of her as a fetus, but more joyfully as a baby. Okay question: If I punched a pregnant woman and the 'thing' died, would I be charged with murder (killing the fetus/baby) AND/OR bodily harm (injuring the mother)?
  21. So a baby is defined by anothers emotion, hence that 'something' that is 'wanted' is a baby. Anything else can be merely be killed as it was nothing to begin with. How can one definition not apply to the other. I do not get it.
  22. Only a 'wanted' baby is wanted, else it should die. Hmmm. What does a doctor say when an expecting mother has lost her baby within the first few weeks? "I'm sorry but you have lost the ____________". If it's wanted it's a 'baby', if it's unwanted or a burden it's a 'mass of cells'.
  23. The increase in alchohol and drug abuse within the Aboriginal community was mainly due to the collapse of Aboriginal society and culture. Before the colonisation of the Aboriginal people used drugs, one which was called Pituri (Western scientific name; Duboisia hopwoodii). Pituri is like a nicotine based drug. Aboriginal society suffered very little or no addiction. The Aboriginal people actually farmed Pituri, and even traded and exported the shrub as a form of currency. It just shows that Aboriginal people do not function well in todays structure of society and culture, not because of drugs and alchohol. It was not only Europeans that had initially built Australia. Aboriginals also put in hard work. They were labourers and paid with flour, water and tabacco. West Australian Aboriginals were treated as slaves (unpaid and signed off as "x"). Aboriginal people therefore helped build Australia's pastrol industry, which was the beginning of a new economy. The employment of Aboriginal people even increased during the gold rush era. Aboriginals already had a form of tribal governance and rules - hence it would support the claim of an "invasion". After a convict had served their time ("Assignment system"), convicts would be given free land. Prior to this convicts did not want to be sent to the 'unknown' and would rather be hanged. However convicts were well treated for the purpose of colonisation, therefore transportation was not a deterent for crime and people wanted to be transported. Initial contact between non-indigenous and indigenous people was friendly, but Britian tried to force their rules and culture upon Aboriginal society. That would be like the equivalent of an Islamic state forcing it's ideas and values on America, and only their ideas and values. You have to also remember that the Aboriginal people had been running under their structure of society and culture for thousands of years. I would think Aboriginals would have more of a reason to "piss and moan". Australian Aboriginals are not the only people in the world that are for lack of a better word "moaners". Look at the Russian-Chechen conflict - they have been moaning for thousands of years. Or the Palestine-Israel conflict. Though it was 100 years ago, similiar examples show that generations later still have a conciousness passed on to them by their generation(s) before them. As for changing the date of Australia day, I do not support it. As someone has mentioned tradition is tradition. But you cannot remove the underlying hint that there was a form of 'invasion'. The means does not justify the ends. From prior study into Australian criminal justice the only way to fix the disastorous social conditions of Aboriginals is to implement their mode of society and culture. Stating that there is already pre-exisiting structures and institutions (for education, health, etc.) is dubious to the fact that it has not worked for the past 100 years. His views before receiving the Australian of the year award was concrete before he was underneath the limelight. ...and of the comment...just...no...
