me and my girlfriend are going to the us for a 3 month working holiday, all of our visas and stuff are sorted and we have a phone interview with a country club just outside of NY tomorrow. My question(s) is: do you have any 'must do' ideas for us? i want to go to the grand canyon and los vegas. We are not set on NY and are still considering miami, can someone tell me what the chances are of finding some decent jobs/accomodation are like there. any other advice/ideas? we are 19 and 21 and are both uni students

That car needs an infinite amount of work, but it will be more fun and rewarding than burst-my-balloonescape Dont get too excited about the price though, it may look like gold to you but it is trash to everyone else (one mans treasure...) But follow your dreams, its great to build an appreciation/affinity for cars and machinery when you are young, and learn some lessons the hard way. its hard to believe that cars are pretty much the pinnacle of the 20th century and you can pick one up (in any condition) for 50 bucks.

I think that (assuming he doesnt character share) Zezimas achievement is outstanding, it must take a world of patience and an eccentric personality. I bet you he doesnt like to think about what he could have achieved if he had of spent his time on something else, or any other really high level player for that matter. I was thinking the other day that runescape was like a computer game made by a computer program. The goals are all very long-term and the journey isnt a very exciting, I dont know of anyone that dreams of spending hours cutting down trees or lighting fires. But computer games are supposed to be successful because it is like living a fantasy. I think that because runescape is so ordered and predictable (and robotic) it may appeal to people who exist on the aspergers continuum (which i have suspected of myself). and who are therefore more likely to be nerds. I dont consider myself a nerd. I am training to be a PE teacher, so im not that smart, but i enjoy heaps of sport. and mu current boxing record is 3-0-1

Sorry if this is the wrong thread etc I never really started (conciously) setting goals until recently, generally for quests or skill levels i.e. all skills above 60 or 65 etc. I know in zez's interview he said he killed 149k blue drags for 99 craft prayer and att or something. i just met a guy at yaks going for 400k kills for 99 att and crafting. To me this would take an astounding amount of patience, i couldnt to it, i hope this doesnt dissolve into a philisophical debate about what defines fun and game yadda, yadda, yadda. I had to do the ape agility course like 1000 times for 73 agility, and it felt like an eternity. I dont think it is about attention span, i think it is more about long-term time management For the discussion: Do you set goals? Why? Whats your biggest goal you have achieved?

If i train attacking and fighting things for long enough my skin will be exactly 33 times stronger than others

very interesting topic. it may compete with my new "hot topic" with which i am very proud. i really liked the whip i hope gwd continues to be popular, but it seems quite expensive and dangerous to me. if you want the big rewards i have killed over 1000 iron and stell dragons looking for a dfs, but it is very elusive. the dfs has taken up alot of my time. so it wins for me I also like the graphical updates, i just love rs, leave me alone

bump can someone please tell me about the sara godsword/any other healing armour/weapons

i had some questions about healing armour. is it true that both guthans and the sara godsword heal you while you are fighting? but you have to pay to repair guthans occasionaly? how is it decided how much you get healed? is it a percentage of the damage you do?

My stupid eminem post just got locked, which is justifiable, but it was interesting to see the view/reply count rise so fast. I think this is because it had a famous persons name in the title. What do you guys think makes a post popular? Because it is interesting/opinionated? Is it because it makes you think? Is it because you just want to rubbish the stupid person who wrote it?

ok, so i was just surfing the knowledge base and i came across this reference to POH. And of course POH is HOP backwards, as in hip-hop, obviously they were referring to an upcoming update that is hip-hop related. Now i thought why are jagex messing with hip-hop? and it came to me, this months quest will be based on how the war in iraq parallels the east coast-west coast rap wars, obviously. Jagex are sticking it to the man.
