since i saw the truman show i constantly imagine that my life is being filmed by thousands of tiny cameras and that everyone around me is acting, now i pass the curse onto you. there is actually a psychological stage where you think that everything you do is being watched and judged by other people, its supposed to occur in adolescents but i guess i never outgrew it :| doesnt really fit here but i quite often think about how far people have come in terms of this. If you were trapped in the jungle with access to rocks and things, how long would it take you to make a battery or something else seemingly simple? because all the items are there to create it, but i wouldnt even know were to start. thats how i put technology in perspective when i start to take it for granted

i agree with you about mirrors, but i used to feel the same about any reflection. especially ones from lakes etc i used to imagine that 'their' world sloped upwards, just like ours slopes downwards, so they lived on the inside of the bubble and we lived on the outside. quite deep for a ten year old also just for imaginations sake i used to imagine all the colours were reversed.

I disagree i read the quran albeit ages ago, and in my opinion its no worse than any other holy text, the messages are the same, just do unto others unless they dont worship me as well. extreme muslims are no worse than the 'suicide' soldiers from conservative southern christian homes that go to iraq to 'peace keep' with their rocket launchers and im not just comparing it to the bible

i just tried to do the quest and i was lighting pyres and the guy was hitting the beast in the chest , afterwards i would run and bank at bounty hunter, sometimes changing between the spirit world and the normal world. I have logged now but as i was running back into the cave and chopping roots i noticed that the flames i had lit were not visible anymore. my quest journal had no mention the 2 flames i had lit. do they still count or do i need to do the whole thing again? p.s. this quest is quite hard

I dont feel like i am making the most of the information age and am inviting suggestions. I made a few tragic movies on windows movie maker, most involving a robot 'professor' called problematix who i employ to help me solve problems and despite his best efforts he only makes it worse. I enjoyed making the movies but its getting boring. So i was wondering what things i could do. Ultimately i would like to make crappy flash games or something but i dont know where to start. It's a standard list of OR attributes (1+ required to meet the criterial it's applied to): Him His girlfriend Intelligent And given he doesn't like people who aren't intelligent it's a simple deduction to make that both him and his girlfriend are, otherwise he wouldn't like himself or her. you should read the book flashforward by robert sawyer, it explores one possible outcome from this direct experiment, and goes into some quite heavy philosophy and theoretical physics, its a good read. I love this kind of thing, its like the crest of the wave of science, and i dont understand it at all
