one thing is certain, your not likely to be 'rich' on a wage or a salary, even doctors, lawyers and accountants* salaries are heavily capped. You need to be earning profit or investing is you want to be truly financially free what these jobs can do though is mix you with business minded people who can aid your investing the big three classicly rich professions i dont know what president bush's salary is but i bet it is less than successful small business owners

i do this, it works for me. one day i got off the computer after thrashing a 3000 word assignment in a day and everything was looking pretty blurry (i have never had eye problems before), so i thought well if my eyes are acting funny from looking at a close computer screen maybe i just need to look at faraway things. I play at night in my gf's bed while she sleeps so i just try to look around the far corners of the room every couple of minutes. maybe even just closing your eyes and relaxing regularly would help

this is a 'what if' thread, if youve got nothing nice to say... Would you like it if there was no trading in runescape whatsoever, between players and players and players and npc's? i.e. players needed to be entirely self sufficient i think its an interesting idea, and it would allow your combat level to be affected by more skills. For instance, a high level smither or herbalist would have a considerable advantage over lower levels thoughts?

this topic helped me to put into persective my decision to study what i am studying, surely there can be no other major decision that has had such a big influence on people as the one they make when they are flicking through the course outline of the uni they want to go to. that is if they do not have a clear idea what they want to do before they look at the booklet

hubbard was a decent science fiction writer before ascending and becoming an alien as close as i can tell, scientology is like a science fiction story, taken seriously (a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...)

yes, yes, very characteristic vladimir i think internet business arent necessarily a bad thing, they typically dont take much money and its the type of thing you can keep trying until you find something that works, or until you have 10 or so making you a little each. i liked that milliondollarhomepage one, and drawball of course. sounds like people are just into upselling food and loans.

i read, quoted and ignored this It has potential discussion value. Except that everyone just talks about their own day and doesn't talk to anyone else. :)

(an example of a simple, successful scheme) my friend is spending his summer holidays (southern hemisphere) selling strawberries again, his job is pretty sweet, he works about 5, 5 hour days a week and earns about a fulltime minimum wage pay. one of his hometown friends set this business up and its painfully simple and they are both making a killing. his friend buys big pellets of strawberries and other berries and makes 5 t-shirts for his 5 employees, the strawberries cost $1 a punnet to buy wholesale and his employees sell them for $2.40. each punnet they sell, they earn $1 and their boss earns $0.40 (the other $1 is cost). they walk around business's selling their berries with their t shirts on and smiling and the old ladies behind the counter love it, so 15-20 sales an hour is easy. they have one person in all the major centres around so there is no room for me and i will be back at the ice factory again . this whole process was quick and easy to set up, and most importantly it didnt require any business savvy brains, just common sense. So (if you dont plan to implement them and are worried about people stealing them) tell me your clever ideas to make money. mine: i was thinking that if i provide services for cost (i.e. digital photo printing, trailer hire etc) and sell advertising space on this obviously popular service (on the trailers or websites or whatever) it could make money or creating some sort of package deal like "learn to do a backflip in 5 weeks!" or "5 easy meals for your son/daughter who is moving out!", and selling my nonexistant expertise to people it doesnt matter if you think they are silly, i think mine are pretty crumby, but at least its not as bad as my friend who is trying to write a childrens song about a monkey wearing pyjamas in the jungle

i live in the southern hemisphere which means you get 8 weeks before the start of the school year without the thought of classes, marking or planning over summer. people always look back at school and think 'i must have really annoyed my teachers, i was such a cabbage hole' 'everyone hated teachers and treated them like cabbage'. in reality thats not the case, kids are good by nature and its very easy to have a laugh with them, it doesnt matter what area you are in. and noones teacher quit because kids were too mean, thats an urban myth that exists in every school

you guys should think about teaching if your not sure what you want to do/study its very rewarding if your an efficient planner you can arrive at 9 and leave at 3 its a 40 week year the day is conviently broken into 5 very managable 1hour units its never boring if your young and enthusiatic the kids will behave really well and like you become a dean or an hod and only teach 2 hours a day its an excuse not to grow up (the majority of my teaching consists of me creating stupid games and giving them stupid names) at the moment there is a real worldwide shortage (my training is free) you quite often get student teachers to work for you the pay is comparable (it actually is, people who say it isnt are not very realistic) I will start on more than my brother who is a junior partner at a large, successful law firm. its fun (it really is) naughty kids isnt an issue (i have taught in a large variety of schools) but than again if your enthusiastic about something else than i say pursue that get your degree or what and remember its a small step to becoming a teacher ii just got myself quite excited about teaching

I think man can be quite arrogant when we see ourselves as 'ruining' nature or mother nature, by making species extinct, ozone holes etc. through evolution we are as much a part of the natural process as any other plant or animal, this means that our actions are also part of the ongoing natural process (whether it is inevitable or not). by implying that somebody is messing with or spoiling nature we are also implying that we are superior and have the ability to ruin it, in actual fact we are just a small segment of it and all of our actions are part of it. therefore robots are as much a part of this process as we are, and we created them as much as nature created us, we have no rules forced upon us by nature and we turned out alright with our sentience, the same thing would occur for 'life' that we create. see where i am going? if we ever did create a truly artificial intelligence with the ability to think freely by itself it would develop integrity and know the difference between right and wrong

how many awards can they have? if they have an award for every mmorpg fansite, every popular computer/console game fansite, plus other 'normal awards'. there must be thousands maybe i should have read the article before posting... it must have been that boom de yada song... because that was awesome -
i pretty much only trained combat, mining and smithing religously before i became a member, and since then i have never trained mining or smithing (i have been a member since early '05). Then the varrock diary came out and i had to get a 1 smithing level. it seemed to take me forever and when i was done i swore i would never train it again when i became a member i trained agility for ME2 till 74 and everytime a try to train it now i dont last 15mins because of boredom these are the 2 99's i have the most respect for because i cannot stand them because i over power trained. so... what skills do you avoid and what is the story behind them
