  1. The problem with a lot of good items with minimal loss in F2P is that there's a limit on how many armour and weapons you can buy every 4 hours. Procuring a large number of them will be a pain.
  2. It might be a little harder for you to find a team willing to take you on since you've unlocked so few floors. I recommend getting to at least floor 10 to better familiarize yourself with some things first and so you'll be able to unlock floors after you reset your prestige.
  3. Hooray for people who don't read the second sentence in the OP  I will also support continuation of shilo village fly fishing. However, you should consider what fishing level you're going for and how far you're going to train ranged, def, and prayer. If you raise those three other combat skills enough, they should raise your CB level to a point where strength levels won't increase it for like 20-30 levels, which could mean you being able to fish upwards of 60k-70k fish via barbarian fishing. You should also consider doing swan song though. Any reason why you haven't?
  4. I *think* deaths or bloods would be better since they're worth a lot more than nats and abyss runs are only a few seconds longer. You can also take out dueling rings and graahk in costs. At 82 astrals are indeed the best for money at that point.

I've reset maybe 3 times and have no problem with it. I guess it does save a bit of time, but if you find a good 5 man team by level 40ish you should be able to unlock floors pretty quickly right up to level 70 having to only reset once. EDIT: I just realized how little of a life I have for posting so much in the last 20 minutes :/ Come on Internets, download that SNSD video so I can go to sleep >.>
  6. You killed him which is all you need to do. From now on, you can take a shorter path to bork and fight him. Check the Tip.it map here. The entrance shown is the one just north of the Monastery/Prayer guildish place. Small tip here: Bring an antifire shield. Chamber 6 has a bronze and sometimes hangs around the entrance. That fire breath can do nasty 300s and 400s. Surok won't be there in future fights, but a generic mage that just looks like him and attacking him does nothing. He'll still hit you with super accurate mage attacks, but he does them a lot less often so you should just buff it out with food. I also learned from zaaps1 that you can totally avoid the mage's attacks if you run to a corner and essentially get as far as possible from the and use bork himself to break your line of sight with the mage. During your daily bork encounters, make sure you kill those small orks as long as your prayer and food permits (I usually just bring 10-12 tunas now and find it it to be more than enough. Bringing better food and more of it might be better since you're new to it). They have a 100% charm drop, even if they're usually golds. What I try to do is get him down to a sliver of health and then switch attention to the orks. If my prayer looks like it's getting low (like 10-15 points) or I'm running low on food, then I can quickly finish him off.
  7. Lol well at least that's all settled now. -Bearer of Bad News :P

I just find it to be a total waste to use bonus XP on d-ing, unless you've maxed every single other skill. Right now the only point to a higher d-ing level is to do more floors (And bind more items, but after level 50, 100 and 120 are REALLY far off) and honestly I'd just rather reset my prestige if I run out of floors. The ENTIRE purpose of the skill is the token based rewards, at least in my eyes. In fact I've held off doing ToG for the past few weeks until I can raise my d-ing to level 70 and get that scroll of life and stream necklace.
  9. Did you talk to Surok on the surface? You might have to go back to the entrance and try to arrest him.

EE = Enchaned Excalibur = Your friend while doing agility After you get it from Merlin's Crystal, if you've finished the Seer's diary 3, you can get the Lady of the Lake to turn the regular excalibur into the enhanced version. When you spec, you get a pretty hefty defence boost (around the same as a super def dose) and you get 40 health every 2 seconds for the next 10 seconds, for a total of 200 health. It's great for things like thieving, agility or any other situation where you wouldn't be using your spec bar anyway and need some healing. Looks like you'll have to add 77 fletching to your list of goals
  11. Yeah I got the feeling his rant was more of a "Bleh, I like it, but I know it sucks." I was under the impression that strykewryms were actually pretty bad for xp and were just another decent money maker. Kuradal's dungeon with ferocious rings definitely brings slayer into line, but that still doesn't change the fact that monsters like metals aren't the fastest sources of XP. From what I've heard and read, people get around 60 and even 70k/h with maxed stats, extremes, turmoil, steel titans, and cannoning wherever they can. It's still a pretty slow skill and it's a lot slower if you don't have those aforementioned assets. Money-wise green dragons are still often better in a lot of cases.

  13. This is why you should consider supercomposting even if you pay the farmer. It'll reduce the chance of getting diseased by a large amount. However, I've personally only encountered a tree that took more than a day to grow once or twice. For super long trees like calquats I just wait two days to make sure and forget the super compost.
  14. Holy crap this thing is outdated. I really need to get to adding that members section. If anyone still has any suggestions or ideas, I'll be happy to include them. My goal is update this thing before July 10th, one full year after my last update :P
  15. There's a pretty famous rant started by an equally famous member, compfreak847. I always knew him to be right up there with the super analytical types like zaaps1, bladewing, and morionic. Some of the arguments he's made are a little outdated with the release of new items and such, but it's a good read. 80+ pages of replies also says something too. Slayer Sucks

Runecrafting - Natures are best until around 60-65. At that point you could switch it over to Ourania altar crafting is quite a bit better. Around this point you generally get enough runes to recouperate the cost of the essence and even profit. Ardy cloak of at least 2 helps a bit here. Agility - A good alternative is the werewolf course. It's about the same XP as the wilderness course, but no revenant hassles. Herblore - Morionic's charts are a good place to start as are a few pages on the RS wiki. Serum 207's are cheap, but they're painful to get rid of. Crafting - Gold necklaces and most other jewelry are definitely good options. A few minutes on checking up prices on the GE should give you a few options to work with. Aim for commonly used items like emerald or diamond rings. Emerald bracelets might see a bit of a spike with the new CW updates. Slayer - Get the mask. If you plan on maging or ranging at all, get the sight and the focus as well. Firemaking - While maples are stupidly cheap, it might be worthwhile just to get nicer logs like yews and power through it all. I had around 40k maples from MTK and just decided to sell them all for yews. To me, a lot less clicking is worth the extra money. Farming - If you don't want to spend much, curries and oranges both profit after collecting the produce (Oranges are like 1k now :D) Herbs are a no brainer. Supplement herb runs with marigolds or limpwurts. White berries are alright, but it might not be worth it to go out of your way for some of them. If you have the ardy cape then one of them is painless to get to and if you raise your favour up daily at MTK that's also another patch you could do. Summoning - With that many charms, you're not going to go very far. You'll get a few more from collecting enough d-bones from green dragons for your prayer goal (Although I suggest killing some blues as well) as well as some from slayer. Also if you don't already, kill Bork daily. 10-15 minutes of work = 7 crims, 5 blues, 2 greens daily. As for penguins, FIND THEM EVERY SINGLE WEEK. I keep trying to tell myself this, but I never get around to it. However, it's definitely a quick and easy way of boosting some levels. I myself got 58 summoning all on quests, penguins, and a few lamps and then shot up to 75 on the bonus xp weekend. You're missing out on a massive chunk of xp without the penguins.
  17. The general consensus is that the DFS is only useful at dragon tasks when you lack super antifires and a few niche cases where you need lots of defence like range tanking.
  18. Orange trees and curry trees both profit after you collect their produce. At around 1k each and being able to collect 6 of them once the tree is fully grown, you should always be able to make back your money and get a nice chunk of xp at the same time. Willow trees also profit if you wait to cut their branches, but they're 2.5x less xp than maples. So what I'm saying is do curries/orange in all fruit patches and do willows for regular patches. Also you should be doing multiple herb runs a day regardless. Pretty much all of them profit to varying degrees.
  19. 75 atk, str 81 def 87 ranged 86 mage
  20. I'm almost 76 summoning and am just looking over my options for combat familiars while I go slay/train cb skills. I've had a look at Kent's summoning guide and it seems like the best for me would be the granite lobster or obsidian golem since I'm looking to train defence and strength. Anyone know about minotaurs or other familiars? The super long timer of a minotaur looks nice, but I don't know about its DPS.
  21. I agree here. I'd go as far as to say you must have this ring if you play Runescape and are not planning on being a 1 def, 1 pray pure. Free unlimited teleports, 150% free instant energy restores, some low-alchs, +1 pray and mage bonus, free to replace: what's not to love?
  22. I actually just strung load of 9k yew longbows and it averaged at around 140K/h, with distractions. Stringing is for slightly more speed and less loss per bow, but cutting is better for lower level of attention required.

Stun is definitely going to cost you less. I'm not sure on the XP rates on both, but I'm under the impression plank make is casted faster.
  24. Sinkhan replied to WaterDrips's topic in Help and Advice
Yes the spell does cost money in addition to runes to cast, but it only has a gp/exp ratio of 2.6-4 which is some of the best in the game, it's more cost effective than stun I'm fairly certain. Stun only costs the soul rune if you use the mud staff, so it's actually only 2.09 GP/xp, noticeably better than plank make. Roughly the same xp rate too. Of course superheat is a great way to raise magic and get a little smithing xp squeezed in. It's around 85-95k/h and right now with steel it even slightly profits.
  25. Sinkhan replied to WaterDrips's topic in Help and Advice
The word on the street is that rough rates with SC hats are 200k/h and then half that without. But don't let these figures fool you. Remember you actually have to spend the time to get the SC hats and as long as you can make more than 200k GP/h, then the only thing stopping you from doing just straight up stuns is you not liking repetitiveness. However like I already said, you should just opt for another mage training method at that point.
