  1. What quests do I need for that? I've forgotten, and need to add them to my list; I'm sure I don't have them on the list. And I'm partly responsible for the huge amount of page views; I've literally looked at this blog 50 times a day since it started. Haunted mine for the salve ammy itself. To enchant it you use Tarn Razorlor's book on it from his study (you have to do the mini-game and kill him then take his book and use it on the ammy). I recommend getting multiple salves as well because I died with my first one a long time ago and had to go through it all again. To get another just drop the first one and get another, then pick up the one you dropped. I got got 22 Salve Amulet (e) this way even though you're only suppose to be able to get one  . Seems to be the same trick I used to get extra holy wrenches; still haven't found a use for them, but that's beside the point. I'll have to do the Haunted Mine quest; heard the final battle is at least a bit difficult, which sounds promising to me (I was disappointed by Monkey Madness; only took 7 rune arrows and 24 prayer points), so I'm going to have to do it. As an aside, do you ever get pked while crafting runes? I did earlier today, which has driven me crazy since it's taking me forever to get them back. I can't be alone in this frustration.

  3. I think it is, too. Part of the reason I'm trying to get it. I just got home and I'm mining the rest of the pure ess I need; I'll make as many laws as I can later today, maybe finish tomorrow, then go hardcore mining. Might add in agility training somewhere; I'll post when I figure that out.
  4. I found a similar method in Illuminati's skiller guide, but he used dueling rings, which I thought was a waste, since you lose them once you use all the charges. Glory to Edgeville is about the same speed, and since you just have to recharge glories, it wastes a lot less resources. Though I'm P2P, I got from about 1-65 and 72-80 mining on f2p, so I know a good amount about it. I'll be glad to help in any way that I can. That's it for the night; tomorrow I'll be progressing and updating as I go, also taking a few pictures (stats and maybe a random screenshot or two; previous levels, possibly). Any suggestions?
  5. This is an ambitious goal, but you seem determined enough to make it. I saw you today while I was runecrafting. I was the other level 95, running around with a bronze pickaxe and no armour. Didn't have the chance to give you a "hyt"; too busy crafting as quickly as I could. Anyway, good luck on this goal; it's one blog I check on often.
  6. That won't work; I've tried to drag it out of him, but I don't think he's telling anyone, and to be honest, I'm not sure he knows exactly what he's going to do, but he's the only one who can tell us that for sure. Keep up the good work, Wakka. It'll take a while to 99 slayer, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. Btw, are you keeping a slayer log? It'll be interesting to see all the tasks you've gotten since you started. I know, I find weird things interesting. You hit it on the head  . I've got some idea's in mind. I'm not keeping a log, too lazy, but about half of it would be aberrant spectars  . I wouldn't mind that assignment, really; I'm running low on herb seeds/herbs, and they're a monster I've never killed before, and I want to try. I'm keeping a log, have been since 60 slayer, and hope to continue it to 99 (after hell freezes over, most likely). Givemesomesupport-IstartedablogIhopewilllastthistimemessage>
  7. I've started a couple blogs before, but they've never worked out, mainly because I lost interest not too long after I started the blog. Not this time, I hope. [hide=Bank Pic] [/hide] Currently: Firemaking I have 76 firemaking banked, so I'll be burning logs for a while. [hide=1600 Total] 1600 Skill total!!!! [/hide] [hide=Agility] [/hide] [hide=Hunter] [/hide] [hide=Barrows] Ancients setup (most used method): Drops (since I started taking screenshots): May 29, 2007 May 21, 2007 May 9, 2007 [hide=May 8, 2007] And a level: [/hide] [hide=May 5, 2007] That was after almost dying to both Karil and Dharok in the same run, so I think the helm is well deserved. [/hide] [hide=May 4, 2007] [/hide] Before the blog, I had 5 barrows drops: Ahrims skirt, Dharoks helm, Ahrims hood, Veracs plateskirt, and Karils bow (no screenshots of those). [/hide] Levels: May 4, 2007 [hide=Levels] [/hide] May 2, 2007 [hide=drops] [/hide] Haven't done much playing the last few days; hoping to pick up the pace soon. April 28, 2007 [hide=Levels] [/hide] April 26, 2007 Haven't posted in a while; haven't give up in my 63 herblore goal, I'm just using my kingdom for it now, so it'll take a bit longer. I'm going back to slayer and taking a break for skilling at 70. [hide=Levels] [/hide] April 21, 2007 [hide=Level Pictures 04/21/07] [/hide] April 17, 2007 [hide=Level Pictures 04/17/07] [/hide] 68 Slayer caught me totally off-guard, but I'm staying true to my goal and working on herblore now. I'm not likely to get much done today, or the rest of this week, really (won't be here the 20th or 21st, most likely). Progress is likely to be slow, but oh well. April 16, 2007 [hide=Level Pictures 04/16/07] [/hide] April 15, 2007 [hide=Level Pictures 04/15/07] [/hide] Didn't get much done yesterday, if anything. I'm currently still working on that Cave Horror task, still hoping for a black mask drop, but no luck so far. I also learned that bringing Guthans and healing off the Albino Bats isn't the most effective way to kill them. Better off bringing a nearly full load of monkfish and meleeing them. School starts up again tomorrow, so progress will be a lot slower. April 13, 2007 Just realized today is Friday the 13th. In that case, I'll try to avoid using Guthans today; my bad luck is really bad. But if I get a good task to use Guthans on, I'm going to press my luck. [hide=level pics 04/13/07] [/hide] I'm going to stop at 68 slayer and then get 63 herblore. I've wanted to make Super Restore potions for quite a while. Previous goals: [hide=76 Fishing]April 10, 2007 Finished One Small Favour last night; started Garden of Tranquility in the morning, and hope to have it and Swan Song completed soon. Finished all required quests; if you want to pay a visit, I'll be fishing monkfish on world 99. April 11, 2007 I've just been fishing, so there isn't much that can be said. This shouldn't take too much longer. April 12, 2007 Finally! Now: on to slayer![/hide] [hide=85 Mining][hide=Intro]I've always loved mining. I used to play on Classic, and when I did, mining was my highest skill, even though I don't think it ever got over 50 (I didn't play much in Classic, obviously). Right now, I'm going after 85 mining, one of the big milestones in mining, and because it's quite a good money maker.[/hide] [hide=The Method]I have a relatively unique mining method, allowing me to bank all my ores and barely slowing down my mining rate. I got sick of powermining when I was f2p for a month, and I want to make some money on the way to 85 mining. Today, I manged to acquire 28 glory amulets, allowing me to use this technique most effectively. Here's my mining routine: 1. Teleport to Ardougne, wearing charged glory, boots of lightness, and wielding a rune pickaxe. 2. Run east and north to the mine just outside of Ardougne and mine a full load of iron. 3. Rub glory, teleport to Edgeville, deposit iron ore, take out Ardougne teleport runes. 4. Start over from the beginning.[/hide] [hide=Number Crunching]One problem: I'm running low on runes after selling almost all of my rune supply to buy glories. I'm down to 130 law runes and 189 water runes. Here's a bit of number crunching (all estimates) 30k iron ore to mine 1200 trips to Ardougne and back 2400 law runes 2400 water runes I'll be mining the essence and crafting all the runes myself, cutting down on costs and the amount of iron I need to mine (I'm mining pure essence as I type this). Once all this is done, I should make 3 million from selling iron ore. I have other goals, yes, but it's best to take one thing at a time. I won't be too ambitious; this doesn't seem like an impossible goal to me. In summary: 130/2400 law runes crafted 189/2400 water runes crafted 0/30000 iron ore mined Any donations are appreciated, but I won't force you to donate; I hate asking people for help when I'm working on a goal. [/hide] [hide=Pics Before the Blog]Pics before I started this blog: 78 mining: 79 mining: 80 mining: 81 mining: (I'm not sure what other ones I've taken; I'll have to look for them at some point.)[/hide] [hide=Daily Blog]March 26, 2007 Finished buying 28 glories, currently working on restocking on the runes I sold to buy the glories. Will edit again when I finish for the day, with ess total and anything else noteworthy. Mined 1205 pure ess; have enough regular ess to make all the water runes. Will put some pictures up tomorrow. If you have any pictures you want to see, post here. March 27, 2007 Finished mining 2400 pure ess; only problem is I got pked going into the abyss, so I need to get my pouches back. Problem there: the leeches don't think I need pouches, so I might be here a while getting them back. This gets frustrating very quickly. Gave up after my computer crashed twice; I'll pick up with the runecrafting tomorrow. March 28, 2007 Didn't do much mining; crafted runes and got sick of it. Forgot to update blog. March 29, 2007 Did a bit of mining, but spent more time distracted. Have little motivation to mine at the moment. April 1, 2007 Been a little lax about updating and mining, but I did get this: Banked that trip and decided to call it quits for the night. April 2, 2007 My computer is lagging like crazy for some reason. I guess it's because I'm trying to download too many files at once. Because of lag, I decided to stop mining for the day. Got a bit annoying. April 5, 2007 I've been neglecting the blog, mostly due to my sudden obsession with anime. Looking around here, I found the perfect solution: make the video small enough to fit the RS window and RealPlayer on the same screen. Now there's less chance for boredom while mining. Also, got a level today: 2 more until my goal, then I need to find something else to occupy my time. Any good ideas? I like being able to skill and make money at the same time. April 6, 2007 Fell for the Warrior ring scam today; no one will buy a warrior ring for over 470k from what I could see. Traded my whip for it, and now I'm trying to make that money back. April 7, 2007 Just one more to go; however, I'm buying dwarven stouts to mine a few rune ores early; want to get the feeling for mining rune. April 8, 2007 Found out I could make over 500k/hour rune mining, which means I'm mining with renewed vigor. Mined nearly 3000 iron ores today, but took a break because my wrist hurts. CTS? Possibly, but I don't think so. 85 should only be a couple days away. 3.1 million xp at the end of the day; if I keep up this rate, I'll have 85 tomorrow or Tuesday, and should begin on 76 fishing Wednesday or so. 3700+ iron ore mined today. April 9, 2007 85 MINING! Next, I'll be moving on to fishing. Going to do Garden of Tranquility, One Small Favour, and Swan Song, then fish monkfish until 76 fishing. [/hide] [/hide] A few other blogs: Zaaps1's blog to 85 mining Petrolhead22's blog to 99 mining
  8. 9. kill kill kill I should've expected that answer; it's what I'd probably give to someone else. I guess not much more can be said than "Kill as fast as you can and as often as you can" Though, if there's anything more specific you'd like to share, I'm all ears. cannon balls, guthans, anything you can use to kill things faster, use it. and make sure you know what to bring and where to go, the key to fast xp is getting from assignment to assignment as quick as possible. Don't linger too long in bank trying to figure out what you need. I recommend screenshotting strange inventories and putting them into a "slayer folder" of sorts and labeling them "abberant spectar inventory" or "abyssal demon inventory" then just open that picture and equip/bring whatever you have in that picture. To some this may sound silly but it prevents you from forgetting anything and you get in and out of the bank very fast. Make sure you have plenty of glories as well as games necklaces for changing assignments. Thats about all I can think of at the moment. Thanks for the advice. It looks like, after I do some agility training, I have several million to make to help with slayer. I won't ask for advice there; I've asked too much of you already. Keep going for 99 slayer; I have to agree with Axe Man Jack: it's the ultimate achievement in RS.
  10. kill kill kill I should've expected that answer; it's what I'd probably give to someone else. I guess not much more can be said than "Kill as fast as you can and as often as you can" Though, if there's anything more specific you'd like to share, I'm all ears.
  11. *saves Wakka from the second page* Keep up the good work with slayer; I love the skill too. I'm only at 65, though Any slayer tips for amateurs like me?
  12. Ah, another miner who's going for 85 (I happen to be one of those). Good luck on the way there; it can get quite repetitive, but keep your eyes on the prize: runite mining and a lot of money. Stick to mining and skilling; remember, you'll get nowhere if you keep being distracted. And, overall, have fun.
  13. Hello, my name is Mark, I'm 16, and I've set Pop Tarts on fire, but that's another story. I'll leave my life story out of this and get to what you want to know: me, my skills, and my goals. Levels as of beginning this blog: Next goals: 85 Mining 175 Quest Points and finish RfD Once I accomplish both of those, I'm going to go to Barrows until I get tired of it My crazy idea (Flying Pole Dancer): Like a lot of players, I want a skill at 99. I love skills, and I want to be able to show off my cape. I don't want an easy (relatively) 99. A lot of people have 99 cooking or fletching. I want to do something less common. I also want a skill that'll help me, with an emote I'd love to show off. Construction? Going to 70, then dumping it for a while; too much money. Prayer? I love combat. This'll help. Hard skill, and I want to fly. Perfect. But, I don't want to stop there. I want a trimmed cape. No, not fletching, cooking, firemaking, etc. What now? Agility. Difficult skill, very time-consuming; I love it. And I like being a ninja monkey, so I might as well make use of it. So, long term goals: 99 Prayer (buying bones, killing dragons (No Pest Control)) 99 Agility (Ape Atoll Course (unless the Dorgeshuun Course turns out to be better)) I like difficult goals. I'm hoping to get some support here so I don't give up on this crazy idea. Post only if you wish to; I'm fine with views. Will update this post with progress as I go along.
  14. Here's another good tip: use foreign languages. A tanker/hybrid I work on occasionally is called "Mischlings". "Mischling" is German for hybrid; I added the "s" because I thought it sounded better. I actually like this account name; 308 is my signature of sorts (weird, I know), but in spite of the numbers at the end, I like it...
  15. I said you should go after slayer soon; only question is, are you going to use magic to slay until you get to 99 magic, then use melee or whatever you wish from there? Just a suggestion.
  16. I shoot the chins if they all get way too far away That's a good idea; probably wouldn't've thought of that one. Getting tired of emote beggars had to be a factor in that, though. Anyway, congrats on 77 hunter. I'm beginning to think that your party will be in about 2 weeks give or take 1. I guess it all depends on when your next break from school is (or if you decide to skip a few days) No, I've never skipped school to play RS :-w
  17. Good luck on 91 runecrafting; it seems nearly impossible to get when I look at the number of runes one needs to craft. Since you average 3.3k nats a day, about how long would you say that takes you? How many trips do you manage to make per hour? It'd be good to know for when I decide to start seriously runecrafting again.
  18. its a rough estimate of what skills I will do. It sort of goes, money makers, then money eaters. I will do things such as hunter, slayer, and rcing before I do farming, smithing, construction, etc. Gathering skills like fishing and wcing can come whenever I want them to. That's quite a logical plan; I was thinking you should work on slayer next, killing with mage until 99 magic, then powering through slayer however you wanted from there, then going on with the money makers then money eaters. Or, you could craft natures until 99, sell them all, buy all the buyable skills, do the gathering skills, then power through whatever is left. Just my 2 cents.
  19. Congrats on 123 combat! You have a lot of luck at Barrows; must be the prayer, I can't think of anything else it could be. I believe it would make barrows a lot easier; at 59, I don't have the best of luck with prayer. I ran across you while training slayer once a few months ago. I was killing Infernal Mages and saw you, said "Hyt!" and got ignored :( Oh well, you were probably too intent on finishing the task as quickly as possible. Anyway, congrats on 123 combat, and keep getting more levels. I want to see another 99 or more from you soon.
  20. 1k - Sold bronze and iron items I smithed to the shops 10k - Same as above 100k - mined and sold 1k iron ore 1 million - Got Ahrim's Robeskirt from barrows
  21. Congrats on 99 agility! I couldn't make it to the party. 1) No members 2) Had more important things to do (needed food) So, hunter was the skill you were keeping so secret; you'll probably get 99 hunter before I get 85 mining (No attention span and I've been training a "def noob") I'm looking forward to seeing you fly through hunter levels; shouldn't take you too long. I'm rambling. I'll shut up now.
  22. More like 30k exp an hour ~ power mining granite. I'm afraid I'll have to disagree with you; I can get 40-44k/hour powermining iron, even with the occasional random. Also, I believe Wakka said he got ~51k xp/hour training agility (correct me if I'm wrong). I've always heard that slayer xp is 25-30k under ideal conditions, and it was mentioned before in the thread that farming is about 95k for the hour you actually work on it. What's the best way to tell which is hardest? There's always the debate of money vs. time; if it wasn't past midnight, I'd do the calculations. Here's my personal choice: do both. Slayer will give you the money you need, and a good amount of herb seeds; I think that'd work best.
  23. is it just me or did i read something wrote by you involving killing a lurers parents because they lured a whip? I remember that too. I was going to ask, but you beat me to it. As for the people, people (in general) are stupid. They think they're so good, yet are afraid to go to the wilderness and risk their items, so they show their "supremacy" by trash talking you. It's pointless and proves nothing. As a coach at my school says, "Never trash talk. If you lose, you don't deserve to. If you win, you don't need to." (I'm referring just to some people by that; there are good people out there. It just seems that 95+% of pures aren't.)
  24. We already had Yoda from the Warrior guild, so the trifecta was complete a while ago. Where did you see yoda i have been there and nobody says anything about him or looks like him. At least one of the trainers talks like him (changes the order of the words in the sentence); I forget which one, though. The mention of Darth Vader reminded me of an old RSC fake I saw once. Somewhere in deep there was Darth Vader, and when you had the cursor over him, it said "Darth Vader: Death / 0 More Options" (Or something like that; that was quite a while ago) I'm wondering what's next; Doctor Who? (What would the TARDIS look like in RuneScape?)
  25. I was wondering about that myself, but it's possible that he's not the best at writing guides; some people just can't put their thoughts into words too effectively. He could've also faked the pictures, since it's not overly hard to do. As for the guide itself, I'm not sure about how well it works; I don't think taking more sara brews than super restores into the fight caves is really the best idea; also, there are a few little mistakes (they're 360s, not 180s) that stick out. Don't put all the text into the pictures; makes it harder to edit later on, and looks a little unprofessional (not like we're making any money here in the first place). Also, add more in-depth, or possibly even another way to go at the fight caves (I saw a guide on here (must've slipped down a couple pages) using a dragon halberd), so the best way to make your guide good is to make it unique and go from there.
