Thing is, people using the abyss and killing green dragons (I have decent experience with both) will usually bring a way to teleport out, especially if at a level with a lot of pkers (just about abything from 75 to 100). I always do so I have a way out in case someone attacks me and I don't want to deal with them. Regular mage is much better than Ancients in that regard. Yes, not all bring teleports, but I think it's safe to say that the ones who do are in the majority.

Just calm down; your last guide got locked because you would flame people who were trying to help. You're writing something; when you write, not everything will be perfect, so take constructive criticism and use it to make what you wrote better. You're suggesting techniques that are frowned upon in this community; that's really not recommended. Maybe you could suggest some other places to pk (I'm nowhere near an expert, so don't ask me) which aren't frowned upon. Maybe somewhere where people are going to be able to put up a good fight and you aren't attacking nearly defenseless people. Also, the beginning to your guide is a little rude; you sound like you're a bit of a megalomaniac; I don't really know how to improve that part, other than telling you not to act like you know everything. Then again, maybe you're too stubborn to change, which just means that your threads will keep getting locked until the mods decide to do something more drastic to stop you from reposting; spam isn't a good thing.

Umm...what would you like to know, I talked about everything I could thik about without being long winded The good thing about being long-winded is that you can make something like this be the summary after a long-winded guide. You could go much more in-depth about runecrafting, dodging abyssal pkers (if there are any tricks to make them look like fools, I want to know), using the abyss most effectively; go all out, and make several summary paragraphs so the ones among us with short attention spans don't need to read it all. Just an idea.

He means 13,096, it's a simple matter of some people switching "." and "," in numbers. It's a slightly different system. Anyway, nice work. I was surprised at a few of those; I didn't realize that many stats were maxed out. May not technically be a guide, but I still like it.

I'm hoping you get 99 tomorrow or Friday; I'm getting impatient waiting to see what you're going for 99 in after agility.

I thought that steel is steel and not iron because it has *less* coal in it, that it is sorta "purified"? Correct me if I'm wrong. Steel is actually about 99% iron and 1% carbon, so it is an alloy of iron and coal. Somehow, that makes it stronger. Don't ask me how. Those are problems; however, based on that alone, you can't say that RS isn't educational, since you looked right over some aspects that are. I think that RS is educational. It's not all textbook type knowledge, there's also, as I have noticed recently, semi-life lessons, mainly that you have to stick with something to get ahead in life and never give up. I've learned the most, however, from the RS economy. I never really cared about the real world economy; I like money, but it bored me. To see an economy in a world that you liked, where you went for fun, was new to me, and I started to become interested in both the RS economy and the real economy. So is RS educational? I think so.

Congrats on 96 agility! You amaze me more and more every day. I barely had the patience to get agility from 66-70, and here you are, already gone from 75-96, without getting bored and going to train something else in the mean time. How do you pull that off? Also, get 99 next week. You have time off, and I want to know what you're going for 99 in after you finish agility. Soon, us mere mortals will be enlightened.

It seems like a lot of people are going for 85 mining; maybe I notice the people only because I'm currently going for 85. Good luck with getting 85. I'll also recommend that you try powermining granite; you need waterskins, and desert clothes are helpful, but as far as I remember (I haven't timed them) it can be faster than iron. Also, to break up the monotony, add the coal trucks to the list; it's the best place to mine coal as far as I know. I could turn this into a discussion about the best mining spots in the game, but this is just personal experience and I don't know every spot like the back of my hand. PM me if you want more of my opinions about spots. Also, I bet I'll beat you to 85 (currently 79).

Yet another blog to follow. I was recently wondering if you had a blog, since I don't follow enough of them already (note the sarcasm; I follow about 5 or 6). I'm sure to keep my eye on this one. (make that 6 or 7 now) You seem to be a pretty good staker. I want to stake eventually, but knowing my luck (I die everywhere and to everything), I'd get cleaned every time I went there. Good luck with whatever you do; knowing you, you'll be more than successful.

Only problem with that is that your prayer will run out if you have no prayer potions, so you'd have to sacrifice some boxed imps for the prayer potions. Otherwise, the dark beasts will kill you easily. you only need like 1-2 prayer pots... At your prayer level, you'd need 1-2 with the boxed imps, but at a lower level (say 60) you'd probably need more. If at some point I get a little extra time, I'll try to figure out about how many you'd need based on prayer level/bonus. Also, I can't wait to see the full guide; I wonder what'll come first: me reaching 85 mining (79 at the moment) or you making the full guide.

I think it's about 4.9-5.1 million, but I'm not 100% sure. It's bound to be in that area, though. Good luck getting back on your feet. I'm still trying to get on mine (currently f2p -.- ). Also, Barrows is a great moneymaker; I've made a profit despite having lost over 1 million there; hope you're more able to stay alive than I am.

Not that this is anything big, but there's a better located fire in the longhall. There are two there, and it's a little bit closer than Peska's. Also, I believe that the Catablepons use magic-based melee (similar to bloodvelds, pyrefiends, jellies, etc.) so bringing dragonhide specifically to kill them might be good for melee when going for the sceptre. I'm not 100% sure on this, though; if someone could confirm/refute this, it would be helpful. EDIT: A quick look at the bestiary tells me that they use magic to lower your strength, but they don't use magic-based melee. Is this just a rumor/my imagination? Just a couple things I think that might help the guide.

It's already been discussed; that's pretty much the maximum (well, with a 5 second respawn rate, 75.6k is, but the real numbers are irrevelant), but impossible due to randoms, other miners, human errors, etc. etc. Using the method I posted on the last page, I get about 40-45k/hour, even with the occasional pickaxe head going flying, stubborn miner who wants the spot as his own, etc. etc. etc. You might want to add the mine 1/drop 1 method (I prefer it to mine 3/drop 3) and the Rimmington general store method (mine full load of iron, run to general store, and sell iron). I don't know the xp/hour for the second one, but I could test it for you at some point if you want it. I might as well do something useful for others on my way to 85 mining.

everything he said was true. 75 for not failing. When is Ape Atoll more efficient than other courses? Is it more efficient from 48+, or is it closer to 65 or so? I used Werewolves (haven't bothered to do MM and didn't like wilderness) until 70 (current level), so should I do Monkey Madness before I train more or use somewhere else until 75?

yes it was but now they changed it so you need water skins :evil: but it is a nice summery of power mining keep going :thumbsup: I did some granite powermining (70-75) and even though you need waterskins, it's still quite efficient. Also, it's empty, which is helpful. As for the guide, I came up with another method while mining in full worlds. The ore respawns quickly enough that by the time you've dropped the three you mined, the first ore has respawned. Best way I found to avoid that problem was dropping one ore at a time, not three. Here's my method for this (good clicking skill and timing is required). Click on and mine the first rock. Click on the next rock, then right-click the ore in your inventory and put the cursor over "Drop iron ore". As soon as you hear the pickaxe hit the rock, left-click, then click the next rock, right click the ore in your inventory, put the cursor over "drop iron ore", left click when you hear the pickaxe hit the rock, etc. etc. etc. ad infinitum ad nauseum. When I strike a rhythm like that, I can mine constantly, with almost no time spent dropping while one of the rocks is glowing brown. I've also managed to drive out other power-miners without breaking the rhythm. That's just my personal method; if you think it's worthy of going into the guide, add it with credit given. I still have 7 levels to go until I can mine rune, so I'm going to use it for a while, just thought I should share and see if anyone else finds it useful.

I think that might be the reason the whip has a mostly pointless special. It encourages people to think more than just "spec, spec, attack, kill" For PVP, use DDS spec, then once out of specs, attack with whip. Requires slightly more thought, and a bit more risk. For training (I love this tactic) use Dragon Battleaxe special, restore potion, then switch to whip. Higher hits, makes training faster. The whip having a bad special seems to be a good thing; makes you think a bit more about how to fight/train. Just my thoughts.

It sure is sweet right now though. :P I doubt if anyone will use the coal when it gets packed. lol its only a matter of time :wink: Awesome Song (sorry, listen to Dream Theater too much) Browsing Tip.it yesterday, I noticed that Broodoo shields also give a +5 prayer bonus, so for someone who can't afford a prayer book (even though it shouldn't be hard with this to get the money), is too lazy to do Horror from the Deep, or a combination of the two (me), that's a perfect alternative for this use. Currently working on being able to use this spot, just 10 mining levels to go, and members runs out tomorrow. Seriously, great guide. I'm looking forward to using this spot once I get the levels. Hopefully the new spot will make this one even less crowded, and that will still be in effect when I get members back. 9.5/10, because nothing's perfect, but this is pretty close. (add some alternatives (such as the Broodoo shield as mentioned above), and guidelines to how many doses of prayer pots you'll use)
