  1. doing a poor job......this IS the land of opportunity, work hard and get somewhere, sit on your wagon and wait for the government to pay your way simply because you were born...meh You know I read an interesting article once, it said if you gathered all the billions in America, and redistributed it evenly to everyone, within 5 years the vast majority of it would be right back where it was...you know why? the rich, educated and smart know how to work hard and make money, the poor, uneducated and stupid would blow it on 22" spinners and a new hummer.......5 years later....broke again. Welfare should only be a temporary solution while you get back on your feet, not the generation to generation thumb sucking program it was for years before it was thankfully reformed. I had a full time career and worked two part time jobs for a 4 year period once, if I can get three jobs, surely they can get one or heck two...get up, and go work. Ugh, do you have any idea what kind of situations people often are in? It's not like everyone on welfare is a lazy spenthrift bum, that's an ignorant stereotype. If people can get off welfare, most do in under a year, two tops. Some are just in situations where their lack of [college] education and family situation trap them, no matter how much work they do. In fact, in many cases working too much just hurts them, because they get docked on their welfare for doing extra work. And for the record, fraud in welfare accounts for only about 8% of it. Nearly all of that is just errors made by people trying to do it honestly, but forget to change their information when they move, or something else of that sort. Oh, and make sure not to think that because someone wasn't as fortunate as you in getting a proper education that they're any less of a person than you.
  2. A life without curiousity and questions is a wasted life.

Sounds like Juno :-w . The image of Yahweh just continually changes with the needs and cultures of the people of the time :-w .
  4. Man, I just had a test in Morality on poverty in the US... I don't care if I love America or that I'm a US citizen, we're doing a terrible job in regards to the poor and the stupid expanding division between them and the rich. I mean, to throw out one of the random percentages I had to know, 1% of the population in America holds over 38% of the wealth currently -.- . I also frikking hate how our politicians seem to think that snuffing out welfare is actually a good thing -.- .
  5. Well who has a ton of nukes? Huh? Give us a few decades, we'll have Canada off the face of the map. l..l -.- l..l US rocks. Comments like these give USA such a good reputation. /sarcasm Guess people can't make a joke without getting bashed for it, ever. I love the US, and that Canada thing has always been an old joke :-w . Calm down. 'Sides, this country ends up having to do the dirty work while the other European countries, save UK, do basically nothing (for the human race in general, not just their precious nation); they pretty much mock us while we do all the fighting and working for them, time and time again.

  7. Oh man, I still remember the time you freaked out about my little joke about how America works... and I'm American  . It's weird, I remember that I made a joke about how everyone else calls it "football" and "soccer", but we're arrogant enough to switch it around, and how we don't use the metric system, and some other stuff... and you spent something like 30 lines screaming at me about it  . Now if only my memory was as good as this for say... my test tomorrow >_<.
  8. Didn't Jebus wear sandals :-s You've gota be kidding me  . Of course he wore sandals, whats your point?

Ah but the "whole world" could've just been that region - which I still find to be BS. Geographically speaking; it would've been impossible to get water levels high enough to land a boat on mountain, especially in that area. Even if you took all the water in the oceans and started filling that area up from the Black Sea; it just aint going to happen. Well, it was the "whole world" for humans. Not all the species of the world.

It was meant as a humorous, lighthearted gesture. Calm down o_O. Your posts are generally very insightful, but you do sometimes tend to spend an extra 50 lines going off on some random tangent after you finish a response :-w , on religious threads anyways.
  11. have you actually seen bleach, everyone who has disagreed so far hasn't actually seen bleach, but the people who have agreed have seen bleach. I'm not saying its only because they look a little bit similar and theyre scientists, if you read what I said, you'd notice I said their personalities are very alike, which you would definetly notice if you actually saw the anime. I'm watching episode 93 on Youtube as we speak. Yes, as in I've seen episode 1-92, and I'm watching the next episode in the show.
  12. Is he maniachal? Has he done experiments on himself to get into that condition? As has been repeated way too many time in this thread, that doesn't look like the 12th squad captain, and it's seems like an extreme stretch to go from "he's a scientist" to "OMG, BLEACH!". That, and I don't even think that he's been in the dubbed show yet.

I'm curious, why? Uh... let's not start with that, especially before Tigra gets here :ohnoes: . It's possible that if it did happen (*cough), then the boat may have been built in such a way as for it to be preserved. Dunno anyone who's really looking for it much though. EDIT: Too late^. At least there wasn't a tangent :o.
  14. If only it were that easy for people to agree on that >_<.
  15. Oh my, there are so many ways to mock this, so many witty comebacks to be said.. ...Well this is pathetic. Reading is an everyday skill in life, and you missed it. How is this possible? Refer back to the original question, HOW MANY DECADES ARE IN TWO MILLENIA? Obviously even basic, everyday skills are not being put to use. I hate this society. For the record, I was referring to his post, not yours. It's hard to tell if you knew I was referring to his post (acknowledging that you were right based on first grade math skills), or if you thought I was referring to your post and you were responding to both of us. Again, I was acknowledging that you were correct; it's hard to tell from your post if you knew that :-w .
  16. Meh, at my school there is absolutely no hazing whatsoever between grades or peers. Anyways, if I did go to a school like that, I don't know why people (the freshmen) don't just fight back- get everyone together, not that hard if everyone's getting hazed. Unless of course they want to torment the freshmen when they're juniors and seniors, which is just wrong and sadistic -.- .
  17. That's kind of like a paradox :-k . I guess I agree sort of; my mind is free to wander a bit, but generally when I'm really training techniques my bodies too stressed to think about anything >_<. Or breathe, for that matter. What do you mean by "never stressed through"? Are you saying you're free from work and cares when you do it? Or are you just not trying hard enough :P ?
  18. Bleach episodes on Youtube. Currently watching episode 90 :-w .
  19. [omg], that is easy for me. The sun is the VERY obvious answer for star. Decades and millenia should be easy. millenia is from celebrating the year 2000. So you know it's in intervals of 100 at the very least because not a once in a lifetime thing for everyone. Then it talks about 2000 being our 2nd millenia, so... Decade is 10 and used often in bio and stuff. Lol this is just so funny, so it's 200, unless i messed up my math. A millenia is only 1000 years :-$ so it would be only 100 decades in a millennia (100x10 = 1000) not so easy after all eh ;) Oh my, there are so many ways to mock this, so many witty comebacks to be said..

    SSB!! Don't piss Pikachu off :-w .
  21. I dunno... if they get undisputed data that it's definitely the true Jesus from the Bible's tomb, it could get some media and get bigger. If they don't get that kind of data soon though, it'll probably just blow over. And if they already do have it, okay, I didn't see the documentary :P . It might blow over anyways though :-k ; it's not like proving Jesus was a real person is going to be anything new.
  22. Bravo! You're absolutely right! Who is to judge that our experience in this game values any less than experiences else where? The life lessons are still life lessons, the happiness are still happiness, the pain still pain, the accomplishments still accomplishments. Ultimately, we're still interacting with other people and growing with them, just on a different platform. Typical in-denial Runescape player mindset :? .
  23. I doubt that statistic is true, so whichever statistic that was (for example say it was 40%) that got in a car crash, that still means you are a statistic. You are the (hypothetical) 60% that never got in a car crash... You can't avoid being a statistic of the world, unless you never existed..? It may not be absolute or a stastic, but it's common sense to say that everyone or at least 99.999% of people who are going to ever drive in their life will at some point get in a car accident. Oh, and Defender's pretty much screwed once he gets his license, unless he has his license already, then he's really screwed. I predict approx. 11 accidents a year :-w EDIT: nevermind, I see you were just countering his second line :P . I'll just leave my post up saying that it's not a statistic, but it's pretty much true.
  24. Or like how this lady could only name 3 states that border the Pacific Ocean She forgot ALASKA! How freaking hard is that... Then how she had to use a life line to figure out what the biggest type of bear is. I was yelling Polar Bear at the screen. She makes me mad: Personally, the bear question doesn't seem all that easy. What were the other choices?
  25. How would you like it if I was annoyed by you whenever you wanted attention, so I zapped you? I wouldn't. That's the point. For dogs, it's not like it really hurts them; it's just a quick zap to tell them they're not supposed to go there or do something that they did wrong. Basic training. This is kind of a stupid reason to go OT though :-s . I mean, it was a joke earlier in the thread, and my response was more or less a joke as well. No one's going to put some frikking zapper on their kids neck... it was a joke. What they did wrong was talk. Actually, looking back at the posts, they were simply talking about dogs, which is a completely legitamite argument. Dogs barking keep the whole neighborhood up at night, or could scare a kid, or just annoy people in general. Not only is this very different from humans' actions when speaking (generally...), but no human deserves to be put into a position of total submissiveness to another due to fear of pain. Dogs are taught to avoid pain, which is why they are given collars. The collars are never used if the dogs follow a few simple proper guidelines- (generally) they aren't just shocked at will, and if they are it's for a very blatant and right reason. As Celt said, dogs and humans are not the same, and definitely do not share an equal relationship (spare emotionally, for anyone who wants to bite my head off for saying that). It is this master - pet relationship that makes this argument totally pointless, 'cause dogs ain't humans. Ack... 1AM... thinking process dead...
