  1. The thing about dubbed anime is that since you heard the japanese voice first, any different voice given to the character sounds off, especially since that different voice is in a different language. That's why I prefer Ed's dubbed voice over the Japanese one- I heard him talk in English first. But dear lord, did anyone here Renj's dubbed voice? I thought Naruto was bad.. but geez.
  2. Indeed. I don't think I saw Ghost in the Shell, or Neon Genesis listed, or even Samurai Champloo, and still no Rurouni Kenshin, yet I saw Teen Titans. You don't sound like the biggest anime fan o_O, more like a Toonami product. Oh, and Naruto's okay, not the greatest, but it's not bad. Curse the "Believe it!" motto though.
  3. I think someone said it, but FMA ftw, dunno why it's not on the list. Best anime of all time. Myself, I've seen Bleach up to about episode 75, it isn't that great. It's actiony, it's got cool effects, but there is absolutely no plot progression at all. I.e. nothing happens, when you look back at it. FMA>>>>>Bleach.
  4. Guna have to go with Satenza's radical Bible opinion :-w . Dark, I don't really get your first point (seems cover-upish), but I suppose I get what you're saying in the second point. Some people literally do allow themselves to be killed simply for their beliefs in God, which is what I thought you meant by saying, "dying for God". Still, "dying for God" is something I expect no human, including myself, to fully understand :-k .
  5. Well, it's literally in the url :-w . Woot, did them :D now i'm stuck on number four, the one with the eye... :-k Argh, that's annoying me too... "Eye point"..? >_<
  6. It's not that it's a bad adjective, but they [used to] be strong, "biting", emotional words, making using them actually have an impact in a conversation- if you dropped an f-bomb, there wasn't another word to explain the emotion you were feeling at the time. Nowadays, the f-word is used more than common articles. Some of the censoring is overdone, but at least curse words are slowed down by censoring.
  7. I hike for good scenery, seeing nature in it's coolest :-w .
  8. I'd say look in my sig, but the show's obviously offensive. (Fullmetal Alchemist, anyways)
  9. Meh, at least I'd have justification for my paranoia.
  10. See, this is the kind of whining that's forcing Jagex to make the game easier.
  11. FMA fan ftw. Well, this minigame is getting a nice little bump. It'll be dead by March though.
  12. Well, it's literally in the url :-w .
  13. I see brainwashing, religious riddles, and an arrogance about one's opinion of God all in one post. Seems like we're back where we started. I mean, it does sound like you think I'm going to hell for Oh, and with all the atheists and anti-religion peeps on this forum, prepare for pain, if anyone cares enough. Oh, and try defining "chosen by God" for me, wudja?

So, would you guys say that the soul is just our moral side, so it's not like the thing that ascends to "Heaven"? (which is such as bs idea...) Basically, has everyone that's posted believe either souls don't exist, or that they go down when you die, with your body?
  15. So let me get this right: "Some Bible history, more history of the Hebrews, more stuff that has nothing to do with our purpose... moving on. Talking about how the Bible describes Jesus, what he did in his life, how he died, some more stuff everyone knows... more Christian belief, and exit Bible quote." To be honest, it sounds like another, "Everyone but us almighty Christians are going to Hell" thing. Is that what you're getting at? Your purpose is to follow Christian belief, in order to avoid the human constructed idea of Hell? Dude, I've spent the past 7 years of my life having Christianity shoved down my throat, both at school and church. Don't throw that typical Christian "you don't understand it" answer at me.
  16. I usually just dress casual- khaki's and a t-shirt (generally white), untucked collared shirt, jeans, etc. Nothing special :-w . I really don't get most of those "types" . Explain them all please?
  17. And for the record, I'm not following someone elses belief blindly, especially since my own opinion about God is completely different. That's why I pointed out that I don't follow the Christian view of God. --- I smell contradiction. And I hope you realize that beliefs are subject to change through analysis. I used to believe in the Christian God. Through analysis though, my view changed, and I saw God very differently. There's no way of knowing if I'm right then, now, ever, or never. That's why I live to defend my belief, but not to be so narrowminded as to not think I could be wrong. Back to the first point... Templar, can you tell me what those verses mean, without any level of disagreement from others? Still waiting.
  18. You can drive on both sides of the car Bubsa o_O? Or is that first picture just reflected? Hard to tell with everything so symmetrical...
  19. I don't follow any dang religion. I have my own personal belief and opinion of what God is, and it's no where close to the Christian belief of what It (or "He") is. And for the last time, I nor anyone should know what God wants. We can think that we know what It wants, and get pretty close sometimes, but there's no way in hell that anyone here knows what It wants. And I'm just saying that yes we should follow our beliefs, but don't be arrogant to think that you know you're 100% right and everyone is wrong. Beliefs are, in all honesty, nothing more than guesses and hypothesises. Basically, follow your belief and defend it, but don't be so stupid as to go die for it. It's a frikking guess.
  20. Reb, people BELIEVE in God. That means their life is God. They live and die for God. That is kind of the point of religion. So do I. Doesn't mean I'm arrogant enough to think I know what that God is or wants. But the message is so elaborate, so fuzzy, so complex and blurred by man's opinions and translaton that no one can understand it fully and be right, and still prove to everyone else that they're right. Oh, and in my personal opinion, we need to believe in something to survive, but the odds of us being right are so slim that we really shouldn't trust too much in those beliefs.

You can never prove that God didn't just snap everything into existence. It could have easily just made the world and people 6000 years ago, and made it appear that the universe was 15 billion years old. I don't believe that bs, but you can't rule out the possibility. Oh, and there is a god carrying the sun across the sky :-w . Sometimes I really wonder if it's better to examine matters from the inside of the box (emotion, faith, experience) or from the outside (analysis).
  22. Maybe it's just people unsure of their sexual preference (maybe bi), or maybe it really is just people coming out of the closet. Anyways, I read/saw a story in the news about a girl who was supposedly hetero as a teenager, experimented in college, and never went back. Just throwing it out there. There's probably a point in time where it'd be near impossible for something like that to happen, but again, I'm not exactly an expert on the topic, so debate away if anyone else thinks you're wrong. And Vik, I have no idea about the prospect of "gay genes", so with your data I'm guna have to say I agree with you.
  23. Quite vague, just like the phrasing of your first post. Define "the message of the cross" perfectly, and I'll admit that your answer isn't vague. Come to think of it, define what that whole verse means to the point where there's no disagreement about it.

I think we* pointlessly spent 5 pages debating this somewhere else... but basically we can seek Truth, we can discover Truth, but we can never know that we've attained it. If you're saying knew ideas will come up that could overthrow Christian ideology, that's easily possible in the future. Doesn't mean that's Truth though. *Ugh, the English language needs a "we-but-not-you" word.
  25. Do you understand what you just said in your answers? I sure as hell didn't. No, not in the sense that you're wrong, but in the sense that there's no way in hell that anyone would know what [a] God wants us to do or what it is. I agree with Edward Elric. Hiding behind the religious bs riddles that you don't even understand isn't a proper answer. No, I'm not an atheist  .
