May I sugest you go to visit draynor manor. It looks like nightime there, here's a screenshot, on max brightness and 100% unedited. One solution to day-night could be each day being only a few hours long. Eg 3 hours is one 24 hour cycle. But I don't like the solution of having to carry lamps, unless it doesn't take an inventory space, as it could ruin a lot of set ups. On the GTA games, each second of real time is one game minute, which leads to 24 minute days. That would be an interesting idea although the days would be too short. If you were to have 3 hour days, each 7 and a half seconds would be one minute, which seems reasonable. And you could have a clock in one of the corners.

I believe loaning someone an item is a service? Not to mention the fact that pretty much every Jagex mod gives a different answer on the same question, I highly doubt that it is actually against the rules, not that I'd really care. And as for morality? It's just rent. If it's immoral to rent someone a sword, then it's immoral to rent a car, hotel room or house. It's that simple.

Wow, unless you guys are exaggerating (which most of you probably are, to some extent) then p2p seems to be worse than f2p with noobs. I was logged on for what was probably around 1 to 2 hours, doing the new lumbridge diary and checking out the new GFX and I only had 1 guy ask to borrow my santa. He tried for a bit at which point I said "Dude, I'm not going to lend it to you" and he just ":("'d and left. I had definately thought that a santa in f2p would attract much more attention, but luckily I managed to fly under the radar... for now. I will probably rarely use it, except for maybe lending a rune scimitar or something to someone doing dragon slayer occasionally or lending my santa to friends. But so far for me, it's a nice feature to have.

I'm pretty sure the reason it does it in the first place is to reduce any lag, and the reason we always see it in crowded places is because those are the laggiest. I had it on max settings today and didn't get this. Try turning down the graphical options and see if you still have it. As you said, your settings were on the best, so it is possible that it displayed the characters in that way rather than letting it lag your computer. If turning down the settings doesn't work, I'm afraid I don't know what else. May I ask what are your computer's specs?

I have not played it yet so correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the whole gist of it was to be more of a quest than a tutorial, which teaches the new players along the way. Very many games take this approach and it is much more exciting than "I will teach you how to fish. Take this net and click that spot." It's supposed to get the player into the game, as well as into quests. And the quest point and XP lamp at the end is great for getting the people some goals, and showing them that it's not hard to work and make a living yourself. By the way, there's some new begger guy in lumbridge who's good for the new players too, as it encourages them not to beg themselves. He says something like "I want money but I don't want to work for money." At which point your guy will go ahead and tell him off.

Nat's arn't nearly as wanted as they used to be, since you can no longer make millions from fletching and then alching so not as many people use nats, and training magic in general has declined as well. However, more people keep on crafting them. Those same people also want the price of pure ess to go down without anyone actually wanting to mine the essence themselves. What they want is illogical and there is no reason for Jagex to "fix" the essence so that it's cheaper for the ever-increasing mass of crafters to produce an unwanted product. As long as anything is so popular and profitable, it will become less so. I don't remember this much complaining and whining when smithing rune, which is much harder to achieve than 44 RC and used to be worth the effort, became unprofitable. [hide=And on a slightly off topic note...]One guy said that armour to get into god wars costs 30mil, a few pages back. While that may be true, (I don't know the exact prices and what equipment is needed) after going to god wars, you'll still have the armour which you can sell back at any time, without losing any money, assuming you bought at the proper price. If you were to sell it back straight after, you'd not need to pay for any price changes, and even if the price did drop, you would have covered the depreciation in profits. So it doesn't really cost 30m, it only costs any money that you lose when reselling the armour. (and of course food and pots which are calculated in your profits).[/hide]

I couldn't be bothered reading through the whole thing, so excuse me if this has been said. But I believe that there is a hotkey for the summoning tab and I think it's Insert, or Delete or Home or one of the keys in that area. But when I was a member I do remember having a hotkey for summoning. Try them out and I appologise if either this has been said or if I'm just wrong.

I was actually thinking the same thing. To kill a mockingbird was a great book, even if we did have to read it for class :o But yeah, I'm not going to buy it, and I'm probably not going to read it. And if I do manage to see an online copy somewhere, I won't read it because I wouldn't want to pwn my eyes by reading 200+ pages on a computer screen and I wouldn't print it because that's a lot of ink and paper :shock:

There are very many "old-school" F2pers around that level. I am 97 F2p with a santa hat and I've had one at almost every stage of my rs career. At the begining I bought one for 200k as a noob in RS1 but that one was lost and replaced later and so on until late last year (or more probably early this year, I can't remember exactly), with the new GE I merched my way from 4mil to 15mil to buy one. I found that in f2p it was easier to make moderates amounts of money (in the millions), since there are less distractions. The GE is a merchanters best friend, if they know how to use it. ;)

The reason they brought in all these spoilers and "guides" is so people would be less likely to go on sites like this one looking for help. They don't want some kid to lose his account when he googles "runescape help" and gives them his password. Although, I still have that feeling every time I become a member. Most of the time I'm a free player but occasionally, I will get a month's membership and get the experiences you guys have been talking about. Alternatively, you could just stop reading the front page for a month or so and wait to find the new stuff yourself.

Yeah the table is practically unchanged since I first drew it in. By the end, I plan to have nothing with a black outline. That's how I usually do it, I'll draw it with a black outline and then get rid of it when I shade. And Jopie thanks I would appreciate if you could show me what you mean. :)

Ah I see what you guys mean about the perspective, the door is really small compared to the guy. I've never noticed before. Thanks. :)
