  1. How does one manage 40 bandos kills in under 6 minutes o.O

    Bosses

Let's see now.... Probably last time I solo'ed KQ. She's a jerk, all 3 attack styles and little you can do about it. TD's; again, although I can camp there, it is a bit exhausting. Requires pretty much total concentration to do it. I'd like to bring back my comment about the AI however; over time, humans adapt and come up with strategies to beat the AI. Because we can think. The AI can't, and therefore is inferior to us. Therefore, any boss will be easy once you get good at it, or once you and your team get good at it. (And once you have the stats, of course. Turmoil/Pack Yack/Overloads can probably work wonders.) And I'd like to point out that Nomad's difficulty is overrated imo. Despite the fact that a few people have managed to solo corp (saw a vid of some guy solo'ing him with flowers and Statius Warhammer specials o.O) Corp is still fairly hard methinks.
  3. Your best bet is not straying from the area your in o_o But to answer your question, I don't think anyone has ever mapped it. Probably too many variables.
  4. Honestly, at level 24 you might just be better off doing ToG and Resource Dungeons until your a higher level. At higher levels for solo, it's definitely worth doing C1 (complexity 1) for 1-10...I usually do the Ice Floors on C1... Then I do up to 20~ or so on C6, but I semi-rush through it. For the highest floors, do medium dungeons, C6 of course, kill all the monsters* and unlock all the rooms. I'd say around level 50 it becomes worth it to rush the low floors. *Some people like ignoring some monsters to get through the dungeon faster; personally, for the highest floors I want the max exp I can, so I kill them all. Plus I rarely run into higher level monsters.... If I saw a level 130+ monster while doing a Med dungeon, I might skip killing it if I can.
  5. Terrorbird? What the hell do black demons drop that you need a terrorbird? They can't drop *that* many effigies o_o The times I've fought them, they have virtually no drops D=
  6. Shouldn't you use piety instead of ultimate str? o.O Last time I went there, I just wore my standard slayer gear and healed with uni when necessary. Didn't bother with waterskins. They drop them sooner or later and that worked well for me. If your really worried, just bring a few waterskins and a knife for the cactus there.
  7. There's always the whole "monsters become unagressive after a while" thing. Running away from them and returning fixes it. Or are you wondering how far you'd have to run?
  8. Even assuming that you somehow had a team where all the pieces of say, Primal were bound by a different member (wouldn't happen, who the hell binds primal gloves/boots?) I'm pretty damned sure you couldn't trade it. Anything that a player can make you could possibly run into the whole set - but probably the only time a player wears full Primal is during the Dungeoneering cape emote...

    Bosses

Frankly, I don't think a noob who couldn't have had fought any of the hard bosses is entitled to his own opinion about how hard bosses are. Not trying to be mean or anything. For one thing, Nomad isn't that hard. It just requires more thought then most bosses (Drink pots, turn on prayer, start fight, eat food/brew/drink prayer pots as necessary.) The reason why you don't see high levels constantly pwning him is simply because you fight him once. So once you know how to beat him, you never fight him again. Frankly, if you know what your doing, every boss is easy. So is nuclear physics. All bosses use AI, and humans can beat AI because they can adapt and find a strategy that defeats the AI. The AI only has one strategy. (Well, Jagex occasionally modifies the AI, looking at you Zil, but generally once you find a strategy for a boss you keep using it and perfecting it.) Frankly, the hardest boss is probably one of the Dunge bosses in a 5:5 party, or maybe the Penance Queen; you need to work with other players for these bosses, other players that may simply SUCK. Also, try fighting TD's. Hard to get the hang of prayer and weapon switching and luring; it also requires a lot of concentration. (I've talked to people occasionally while fighting them, and my skills DROP.)
  10. No particular reason. However, Ice spells are the most powerful and presumably cheaper then blood or shadow spells. Also, bring blood burst/barrage runes. You NEED the healing effect every now and then imo.
  11. Er, protect from mage DID make a difference when I tried. Pretty sure I tested it. Full invent of food WITH pro mage, full invent of food WITHOUT. Lasted a lot longer with pro mage. Also, 90%* of people recommend a combat familiar, usually a kyatt, for after the bob dies. *I'm just making this number up. However, most people I've seen recommend a combat familiar, usually a Kyatt, after the bob dies, *if* they put a recommendation for what to do after your bob dies.
  12. Just occurred to me. This entire thing may not have happened with a ring of life. That, and I get the feeling that if you came back from lag to find 23 seconds left on your grave, you don't have an angel of death..... or even one of the lower tier grave that lasts one minute left for a cheap 50k... Might be expensive, but it's a one time cost. Never know what the extra minute could do.
  13. That was my first thought when I read the thing on Dunge. Frankly, although the new stuff helps Dunge, I have to agree. There was no "batch 2" of Dunge - it was split up into several updates. We're still waiting on some, actually. But some of the key things that Dunge offers, chaotic weapons, the arcane stream (Well that one is big to me) all came out from the start. The new mage prayer also was out from the start, although the range one came later. But the biggest offers of Dunge were and still are, in my opinion, Chaotic weapons. Which were out from the start. Well, now that I'm done bashing a small part of the article... overall, it was a pretty good read, reminding us that Jagex does at least try to balance the game between the combat triangle and skillers. The fashion one was interesting too - frankly, I'm wondering if Jagex will release some option so we can "show" the default clothes while in combat, while still "wearing" armor. I have to say I very much like the new fashions, especially since I usually bank all my equipment if I'm not in combat anyways. Good point with Dunge too, great looking armor there - unfortunately, it's hard to get a full set of it, especially the higher level sets. Stuff like full primal is pretty much impossible.
  14. There's a good guide, in the AoW I think about bursting/barraging. I agree Aeil on the bursting thing; unfortunately, I don't exactly know the costs >.>
  15. Might help a bit....personally, I don't think you need one.
  16. Not game changing? There were like 3 (THREE) people with maxed stats pre-skillcapes. There are now *checks high scores* about 367 people with 99 all. (It's hard to say with dungeonering; it's possible some people have over 99 dunge, but have a skill under 99. However, there are 367 people with 2475 total level or higher on the highscores list, which is the total level if you have 99 in all skill including dunge.) And I must know wonder how many hundreds more have 99 in all skills except Dunge....yeah. Yes, there was SOME skilling for the sake of skilling pre-skillcape. But the amount skyrocketed with skillcapes - all those common capes mentioned, cook, fletch, firemaking - probably 90% of those people wouldn't have 99 if it wasn't for the cape.
  17. That really doesn't sound like a glitch to me. A person loses a bunch of money in PVP to get drop potential up, then kills and hopes to get major loot. How is this unique to C bows? The only way I could see it being a glitch is if the price they pay for a crystal seed is significantly less then the value the game thinks they risk using a c bow. With the way the GE works, I can't see that happening. But the fact that someone can risk/lose several mil in PVP, then go kill people and potentially gain much more isn't officially a glitch, nor unique to crystal bows.
  18. You'd be amazed at the amount of effort people would put in for a small boost. Look at Zerkers - is 4m worth 4str? Not to me...
  19. Although more expensive to use, I found it healed better then a bunyip. Great for multi-combat slayer or just multicombat monsters, (great in the chaos tunnels, Polinveach slayer well, etc) because it doubles as a combat familiar and healer. Also great at TD's (if you can fight them) before you get a uni,. I really couldn't say how well they heal compared to a fruit bat, I don't think I've EVER used one. Not for collecting fruit for healing in any case.
  20. Because people randomly chose how to spell it based on how it sounds - the actual, original spelling for the book uses some sort of Arabic text.
  21. Bahahaha! Famous last words.... Here's a quote from someone. In Germany. "Those who begin with burning books end with burning people." ~ Heinrich Heine. Rather then going on a 3 paragraph rant on this guys' stupidity, I'd just like to throw in 2 comments: One: "CHRISTIAN" crusades in the Medieval ages. (There is a reason I used quotation marks.) Not to mention the different states of science, wisdom and culture between Christian societies and Muslim societies at that time. Two: I highly doubt that moronic bigot has actually read the Quran. Despite what he might think, it's not actually an extremist manifesto. If I did anything about this, I'd buy a Quran and read it on that day.
  22. It's a glitch. The formula for the level to access a floor is (Floor Level) X 2 - 1. So level 79 should be the level for floor 40.
  23. Faster weapons have lower accuracy/str. In Dunge, the faster weapons are significantly less accurate and less powerful; combine this with some of the higher defence monsters in Dunge, and this is why people often prefer the stronger/more accurate weapons there. Unlike the rest of RS, where at the high end, faster weapons are preferred because the higher str and accuracy of slower weapons doesn't make up for speed. (Especially accuracy.) Like xpx pointed out, it's useful on the LOWER defense monsters, where accuracy doesn't matter so much.
  24. What guide exactly were you looking at? I know in the magic calculator, it attempts to average the exp you'd get per spell so you know the approximate amount you'd need; it does NOT calculate your exp based on how much exp you'd acquire splash training.
