[Video] How To Combo Using Multiple Weapon Special Attacks (Hotkeys)
Sir_Squab replied to pkstorm1's topic in General Guides
5 hit combo. Not bad, not bad. I think your guide is a little long however. I don't need a long intro for it. -
Runescape Fair - the event for creators!
Sir_Squab replied to Dire_Wolf's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I hate to be negative, but.... How many people who do all sorts of RS art live within driving distance of Cambridge? Answer: a fraction of them. Most wouldn't be able to attend tbh. -
I think so. But it's only the colour anyways.
-
I'd say maples personally. Definitely 10 on herb.
-
I'd say all you missing is a FSH. Karils is rather nice too, better range/mage def then d-hide, but d-hide works decently. If that's a blessed spirit shield, then that's decent... And personally I think like 5m or whatever it is now for a berserker ring is a complete waste of money. IMO, warrior ring, if any. Frankly, I can't be bothered with rings - maybe if I did MA to get rings with fairly high stats...
-
If those are your only choices, air surge.
-
Whoa. That was kinda harsh. If people want to use a slightly slower method because they don't like changing rings, let them. I think using a dueling ring with a glory as a back up is better, but they can do what they want.
-
Frankly, I just take a glory AND a dueling ring with me for things like that, so if I forget one I have the other. It's personal preference, but I'd rather use a dueling ring because it brings me closer to the bank. Been ages since I did a lot of summoning training though, and I just wouldn't Graahk RC anyways...

As I said in my last post, it isn't worth it. You'd get slower exp because the multiplier is lower, and it's more clicking because you don't have a bury x option. Although, now might be a good time to BUY bones....I haven't checked prices, but seeing as no one needs them for the weekend, they may have dropped. Do other stuff on the weekend.
-
Er, no. The gilded altar offers 350% the normal exp. The highest multiplier on the weekend is only 270%. Plus, you'd have to bury each bone - with the altar, there's a "bury x" option. (Well, not actually "bury" since you don't "bury" the bones there, but you get the point.)
-
Considering how slow his mage/range speed is, you could probably flash it for an attack then swich to the protection prayer. I REALLY wouldn't recommend it...Dunno his attack speed, but mage and range are slow enough so you can switch, so...

I got chewed bones from the mith dragon I killed for the diary >.<
-
I definitely mine mine (ugh gotta be a better way to say that) and other people's as well. The one minute timer annoys me >.<
-
Just call it slang. I get irked by really bad spelling at times; bad grammar annoys me too, but bad grammar in the sense of not using periods or capitalizing letters. Anyways, if a person is on w117 at the Damonheim entrance, YOU should be smart enough to realize they're looking for assists... It is however, depressing how people type sometimes....I'm more picky about it on forums, where people just type something, without breaking it into sentences or anything. I find it difficult to follow at times. I get more annoyed on forums when people don't use periods and capitalize the first letter of every sentence. No point in that on RS however, given how short the RS chat bar is. Age is quite possibly part of it too - i used 2 type as quick as i cud bak wen i started rs, at liek 13, an id talk about sk8 an stuff Argh. That is painful. Takes quite a bit of effort for me to actually type like that as well. In case that's too painful to read, I'm trying to show an example of how I typed at age 13ish, when I started playing RS. (I'm not actually sure how old I was...)

Why everyone is rs should have an explorers ring
Sir_Squab replied to o_ztejas_o's topic in General Discussion
Or, you could just, NOT spend time on PVP worlds? You know, hop on, hop off? Only be on PVP worlds for what you need to be on for? Emergency teles are useful though..... -
If that was true, we wouldn't be having this weekend. I think they could be implemented better, it does screw with the economy, but I'm still doing herblore like everyone else. I think it'd be interesting for a DIY bonus exp weekend thing. You only get potions from herbs you collect yourself, etc. Announce it like a month in advanced. Just a thought.
-
How/why would the game realize that you boosted via greenmans ale (m) vs a stew? Especially after you log out. IMO, you should have a few ales anyways, just in case. If you have a few, you could always test before the weekend o.O
-
Yeah, even Karil (the ranger) is surprisingly weak to magic...I like the black salamander the most.
-
Tormented demons are still probably your best bet for Elite Clues. Although, you should kill Bork daily and the skeletal horror weekly for them as well - the drop rate for them is relatively high because you you can't fight them often.

Should Endgame Quests Require Awesome Levels?
Sir_Squab replied to Louisc111's topic in General Discussion
In which case you might as well make it a requirement in the first place.... Personally, one thing I'm wondering about....what if you had a quest that required level 80 or 90....something? (I'd prefer not to have combat because it's the highest...) Although, from a content point of view though, it probably wouldn't happen - what skill you used would somewhat affect how the quest played out, and with 20+ skills... Because that would piss off a hell of a lot of people who have barely have their quescapes. I'd certainly be pissed off at a quest with 90 fishing, 90 agility, 90 mining/construction.... that's actually part of the reason that the diaries have no cape for completing them all. They could make diaries that require 99 in some skills. You'd still have the rewards from the diaries you beat. But with the questcape, people lose out on it, and they become very angry. That's WHY Jagex makes quests that, at worst, usually take a couple weeks for someone who previously had the questcape to beat. (Except maybe someone who JUST got it.) I could easily see them making dwarf or elf content with reqs in the 90s, but Jagex isn't dumb enough to do that with quests. Because quests are about solving plots, saving damsels in distress, stoping Lucien from destroying Runescape and such, not about catching a butterfly or a monkfish. You can catch a butterfly, great you're better than me at it. But still, you can catch as many butterflies as you want, it won't make you a better quester than one who is skilled at questing... that's like if you trained at cooking food in real life to later know how to fly an F15 bomber lol. Questing and skilling are two different activities for a reason. I'll break it own for you then: solving pots: quest unique, no relevant skill, experience (quantified by exp) relevant saving damsels in distress: requires skills for saving i.e. combat, or abilities, i.e. skill puzzles. stopping Lucien from destroying runescape: huge combat requirement, all brain and no brawn = dead quester. you're talking about beating a God here, you'd better be good at surviving (hp, defence, agility etc. etc.) yes, skill requirements for quests need to be relevant. If i were to catch a mosquito with chopsticks (or any other trivial "small favour" npc's require of us in quests) it'd be an advantage if i knew how to catch a butterfly, would it not? I'd need to be even more agile, and even better at hunting. oh look! we have two skills that match those prerequisites: hunter and agility! let's say i were to repair a cavern (not in the brimhaven volcano or anything), wouldn't it be an advantage to be able to repair things, and clear rubble safely? oh look! mining and construction! I don't need to catch a butterfly to fly a plane, but to build myself a scuba kit in the medieval times i'd need to be either proficient at magic, OR i would need to be sincerely good at crafting and engineering (oh look! crafting and construction!). you need skills to perform tasks in quests. otherwise you're just an obsolete administrator, not an adventurer (see the kingdom portion of the fremennik quest series, or "one small favour" and to see how boring and pointless that would be. you can't argue for why quests shouldn't require levels involving correct use of logic and reason. your argument is emotive because you want to play all quests. Or, Jagex could just NOT make a quest where you catch a misquito with a chopstick. Problem solved. Also, pretty sure the TzHaar quest involved mining and construction in a volcanic cavern - WITHOUT level 99 mining and construction. So, yeah, you need requirements - the question the OP posted WASN'T should quests have requirements, but rather "awesome levels." So, as long as we avoid catching a misquito with a chopstick, we're good. Or, maybe part of the quest involves making some special potion, or doing something so that you ARE able to catch a misquito with a chopstick - and by doing something, I mean doing questing stuff, rather then catching a bunch of kyatts. As for any arguments being emotive....here's a question. Would Vulcans waste time playing video games, especially ones that involve a lot of grinding? Probably not. Runescape is enough of a grindfest as is, let's try to keep questing away from that. fixed for the truth Robert the Strong killed dragonkin. Not all the Mahjarrat are strong - one quest, early ardy nub quest kinda, you either help revive or stop the resurrection of a Mahjarrat. Another quest, you lead around a weak Mahjarrat - so maybe you could fight weakened ones. However, Lucien can summon TD's, so we can't fight him directly. -
I find the amulet of nature is just a good timer for telling me when my herbs are done. Mines bound to the Trollheim patch o.O 'cause that's the last patch I do. I'm rarely on long enough for my herbs to grow...but if I am, it's a nice timer for my next batch of herbs. And I find that if another patch is diseased, it won't have had time to die if you farm your herbs as soon as they've grown. And yeah, harmony has nothing going for it. If it had a teleport and a herb patch, maybe...

Defensively, your best bet is probably hood and a prom long, or battle axe, or some other 1h weapon, using the"defense" ring option or whatever - then just get cheap shield, even a novite or anti-dragonfire would get you the bonus from the shield. Defensively, this is probably better, but0 overall, most people I've heard still say that 2h is the best weapon.
-
I do the same, 10 on herbs, 5 on nests. I prefer to have 1.5m in the kingdom, so that way if I miss my "day" can go a few days later and not worry.

My outfit that seems to go well with questcape :D I think/hope they add a NON-PVP update where you can only show clothes instead of armor. My outfit looks pretty good with my blue whip and rune defender as well. Heck, I did a TT without armor just because I like the look (normally I'd wear dragonhide)
