Think it'd be kinda nice if they were given more useful stats. Still, I intend to collect them all sooner or later, regardless of stats. Wonder if Jagex will change the stats though?

Item prices from the Grand Exchange
Sir_Squab replied to Neohero1972's topic in Programming and Web Design
Probably via the GE database? 'o.O Some automated program presumably checks there. If you wanted a better answer then this, well...sorry >.< -
Happened to me before - well, maybe not those exact words... See, when a person says that, that means that at least subconsciously, they know the other player is correct, or perhaps just better then them. The person feels inferior, so they make up an image of the fat no lifing nub, and feel better about themselves. It also doesn't help that the stereotype of the 30 year old nerd living in their mothers basement is true. Not necessarily common, but they do exist.

Doesn't look particularly great. The Zamorak book still has the highest offense, and the defense of them is...not very high :P Still, I intend to fill them all up. Eventually, once the prices crash - a day after they come out is NOT the time to buy them.... Might use the ancient book for maging though - just 'cause of it's color. Maybe :P

Completely untrue. If you see 100 people at the mall on one day, and ONE of those people is a complete, utter, stupid, moronic [wagon], what of those 100 people do you remember next week? Yeah, I thought so. Besides, everyone can be an ass at some point. 90/10 rule. 10% of the group sets a reputation for the other 90%. Groups include but are not limited to: teenagers, the world, RS players....
-
I don't know much about specs, but I know that RS has fairly low specs, especially at the lowest detail. From what you've said, you have a fairly decent computer. Don't see why your computer couldn't run it. And you updated Java. And it's not working for other Java games. I''m not an expert by a long shot, but the only logical answer to me is your connection.

There are two different types of people in this world: those who divide people into "types" of people, and those who don't. Well, I think the actual quote is "those who divide people into two types and those who don't" but I think you get the picture.

Say that at barrows o.O

I really hope they DON'T have stats...or at least, not better stats then non-tt gear.... Yeah you can....and you get the ornament kit back too.... YES! Er, can you prove this? If there's one thing I was worried about, it was some of the new gear being very useful. Otherwise, it'll turn into stuff like 3a and spirit shields. Also, I gotta try trimming my dragon =D In a couple weeks when it's actually buyable via ge... And damn the bank spaces. I have my bank full for ourania runecrafting >.< Overall, I'm kinda disappointed in this. Looks like the "guaranteed" item comes from the list of those common, somewhat useless looking items. I thought we'd get, you know, a REWARD every clue. Not stuff like random crap and 10 meekrat scrolls...

Can't see it working well. Your str/mage don't matter because your using ranged. (Unless you want to use the magic attack on the salamander o.O)

If you go to the RS forums, under distractions and diversions, you should find a useful thread, Or two. Link: http://[Use Quick Find Code]/[Please Use QuickFind Code]?75,76,33,61417868 Quick find code: 75-76-33-61417868 Hope that helps.

I really recommend you break the list down. Weapons, Armour...split those up by their levels...herbs...ores...etc....
-
I'd rather they split the updates up then waiting until they're all ready and releasing them at once. how many people actually plan to get much farther than level 93 anyways? I just think releasing the skill in so many parts is stunted.. People are already training over lvl 99! The skill was released and the max floor lvl was at 69... Fail much? People reached that in no time at all. And now we're getting up to 93.. Which would be ok for a "skill" if we didn't know this one went up to 120! How many other, older skills do we have that don't have stuff at the top end? Overall, looks like a decent month.

Yeah, save it. Bit of a pity you can't sell them, I have a ton from mtk. Guess I'll get 83 farm sooner or later though.

summoning. How combat related is it really?
Sir_Squab replied to vox1st's topic in General Discussion
Get the feeling you don't have a steel titan o.O -
Funny story that...when the dragon hatchet first came out, that's exactly how it was. Although I can't remember if the req was 41 or 61 at the time. But they've since improved it and the dragon hatchet is better. Although, 10% isn't immediately noticeable, and over a short period of observation, the rune wc axe could do better simply due to luck mechanics.

Sir_Squab replied to vox1st's topic in General Discussion
I have to agree, up until you get really high summon, the best familars (imo) to be used in combat are things like the bunyip or spirit terrorbird, or titans (the level 79 ones that heal you.) That being said, I've yet to test out my geysers. Got level 89 just to recharge glories while RC'ing. Then I did ZMI... Also, as long as you can use the abyssal parasite, your good. ALL abyssal familiars carry 7 rune essence. But, honestly, summoning is REALLY useful. -
Review of But They Said for August

I particularly like the lil box at the end....you didn't mention that part o.O -
Unless you plan to move to the U.K., um....not gonna happen.

First article: this is old news, isn't it? I mean, there's a good chance the update will be tommorow. Second article: er, the people with their "girlfriends" erm, this is what the report and/or ignore button is for. As for etiquette, well...if you can use extremes and turmoil and the other person can't...in any case, I rarely have trouble with slayer competition. Chances are I'll hop if I REALLY need to.
-
And it's a rant. What's LRC stand for anyways o.O *googles it* K, I did not know that acronym, although I knew about the caverns themselves. My first thought was "Learning Resource Center"... Oh, and I've also been there for slayer.
-
Yeah, no new news here, ring is useless at bosses, but could be somewhat useful on slayer, depending on the task.
-
I agree with the guy above, get the money FIRST. I tend to not put much faith in people when they say "I have the supplies for x skill" because unless the skill is herblore/prayer/summon, it means (BLEEP) all, no offense. That being said, if you get 150m, blow it on either herblore or prayer imo. Or perhaps summon. :P

Mommy why are these crybabies using straw man arguments? Because they realize there is no mature way to validate their rage at a week delay on a video game, honey. By the way, $90,000 would equate to approximately 18,000 accounts quitting over this, or all of Jagex's world servers exploding simultaneously many times over. I know Geoff Iddison holds a grudge, but I don't think he has access to the kind of explosives you'd need to cause damage on that level. Please clarify the original point then; I don't quite see how that can be viewed as a straw man argument. I used that example because my previous boss was fired for that exact reason-- a simple mistake which cost the company dozens of thousands of dollars. Using "they're only human" is not a strong argument here. I don't understand how employees at Jagex can still have jobs if they consistently keep botching updates. Because with computers, it's quite often something you couldn't really predict, NOT human error. If anything, the only human error was announcing it on the BTS, without knowing 100% that they could release it this month, while still giving people the impression (falsely or otherwise, that's probably up to debate) that it WAS 100% guaranteed. This thread is not about the promise of monthly updates, as they have already released 2 updates this week, but the fact that they wrote a ~10 line giddy story on their page that turned out not to be true. Sure, this is not a big deal for most people, but at the same time, there are some people who were promised this update within the next 3 days and they are not going to get what they were promised, and some of them might not at all get to try out the update as they are losing members in the coming days(as school starts in some countries etc). So, no, this is not a major deal in terms of gameplay, but on the otherhand, this is a huge deal for jagex credibility, decency and user-friendliness. It'd be nice if anyone actually went to a national consumer protection agency and reported jagex for false advertising, which this undoubtedly is. Honestly....ok, I'll sue Jagex for making me waste my membership on an update that didn't happen. I fly to Britain, hire a lawyer, go to court....Jagex gives me 20 pounds or euros or dollars to cover my wasted membership. Case dismissed, I've now lost probably over a grand between the fliight, and hiring the lawyer.... Anyways, another thing. This new update is just a small amount of what membership has to offer. A good lawyer would point out that missing out on this one piece of content is not truly false advertising, as when you bought membership you paid for dozens or hundreds of other features that membership gives, which you DID in fact receive. (But if I actually took them to court, Jagex would just give me a couple months free membership - it'd be the cheapest option for them, rather then hiring a lawyer and having someone spend several hours in court.) Besides, the better business bureau is for outright scams. This was not an outright scam, it was more or less a computer error causing then to have to set something back by a week. (For all you straw-men or example dudes or what-not, do people get fired in the business world because a computer error set their project back a week? Probably not.) It's not like they offer membership but no bonuses, or completely scrapped all projects listed in the BTS and sat back and drank beer for a month. YES, YES, YES, YES, YES! This is most definitely the most logical thing I have read on this rant. WIN

I'd stick with Neitz - which is imo the best helm in the game. Fairly cheap, str and pray bonues, decent def bonus...besides, at td's prayer usually counts more then armor. Also, this is just me, I'd swap out the veracs skirt of karil skirt. But this is just me, most people WOULD probably reccomend veracs :P Oh, and if you have 80 or higher firemaking, use the handcannon - I used it once, it was beastly. Unfortunately, BOTH of them exploded under 15 minutes -.-
