There is something seriously wrong with you if you have all that, but no defender yet. You died and lost it. Serious problem. But you'd still know how to get it back and wouldn't ask here. Also, when your actually killing the cyclopses, bring a ring of wealth.

I won't hop, but nor would I steal their kills....theres enough damned Kalphites there. In all honesty, if one of us DID have to hop, good chance I'd hop myself. Honestly, theres enough damned bugs there. You're a [bleep]ing moron. Kalphite workers are rarely populated enough for more than 3 hops AT MAXIMUM. To anyone who said that why don't I hop: If I was there first, why do I need to hop? It's like if there is a seat at some event and I get there first, some bigger person coming over and pushing me off the chair when there are plenty of other chairs unoccupied and with the same view. I've encountered this in multiple places with multiple people and multiple monsters and combat levels. You know why stereotypes exist? Because extremely often, there IS A BASIS behind it whether you like it or not. Yeah, and a lot of stereotypes are based on the 90/10 rules.... So strongers players should be entitled to just kick lower cb players out? Because they've been playing for 2 months more? Yes. Corrected. The strong will survive (YOM DARWIN) Actually, I think Darwin said those that respond/adapt best to change survive. In this case, responding to "change" is switching worlds >.> You're just making a fool of yourself. Swearing at everyone who disagrees with you? You're as bad as the guy whom you criticise. And this is a public forum. You don't possess any rights to force people out of "your" thread. I said it in the same way as someone will tell another to go away when they don't have the power to force them away. I'll swear at anyone who agrees with the mindset of the player indicated in my rant. And I care so much about making a fool of myself, an internet forum where no one knows my real name, o noes they think ima fool they mite gets me. Translation: I'm just as immature and whiney as they are. However, I swear more and I'm a lower level. .....I have no response to the absurd logic there. than you are a noob failure when im high level im gonna be nice Naw, pretty sure hopping isn't a realistic option at Bandos/KBD. Honestly, I agree that he should have hopped, or at least not stolen your kills since it wasn't very crowded, but you need to be less arrogant. Just because you got there first doesn't give you the divine right to kill them without hopping - it really doesn't. TL;DR I think the guy who stole the OP spot should have hopped, but by swearing and INSISTING that it was his right to have that spot, the OP proved himself to be more immature then the crasher. Honestly, at the end of the day, get over it. If someone crashes you and forces you to hop, well, just hop. (Something I should remember next time I get crashed while bursting lobs. Although I can Ice Barrage them...also, I find most people at lobs tend to hop and not crash.)

Er, you could always order your familiar to attack a general.

Except your forgetting that you will ALWAYS get a TT unique item from clues. I hope they don't screw up some of the new rewards like they did with 3a... I hope that, at least for the more useful rewards, like 3a prayer armour or holy range gear, regular players could actually get their hands on it. On the other hand, I don't mind if there's obscenely rare items that are only for show, that only merchers can get a hold of. Maybe those dragon masks? Although I kinda want one... Also, hope they don't count say, firelighters as a unique TT item. OMG, you get firelighters with every clue! Hope that doesn't happen... Oh, and with these new elite clues, I might start killing Bork again! And I might start killing the Horror... I'm thinking prayer boost. Ahahahahahaha! Er, please tell me YOU don't think any of those things.

For construction xp? To test the losses and xp rates for con, yeah. Seeing if it's viable, and if so I'll probably do it to 99 because making 1bil oak doors sounds :wall: to me. Sorry about being off-topic, but how do you get construction exp?
-
Yeah, you should try to get battle robes. High magic attack and should save you more runes.

Waterfiend Guide - Corrections & Comments
Sir_Squab replied to Shelby_Polo's topic in Completed Website Corrections
The no-prayer inventory seems dumb to me, because you ALWAYS use prayer there; and because you always use prayer, Nomads Cape > every other cape. Even Fire Cape imo. Also, I think it'd be nicer to have inventory setups without extremes. Most people can't use those. And people who use extremes should be smart enough to realize that Extreme Attack Potion > Super Attack Potion. Also, you say that the SS is inferior to the ZS; from what I've heard the SS is ever so slightly better. Although the ZS is cheaper. -
If I were to wear a ferocious ring and chaos gauntlets in there, fire bolt would hit 200LP, correct? If so, how would things like the arcane stream/SoL/Extreme Magic potions/Wolpertinger scroll work? Would the boost work on the new max hit of 200 or the old max hit of 120?
-
Pretty sure the damage boost only works on the target creature. I couldn't say which method would be faster, however.
-
You question is a bit of a paradox. As skilling methods get faster, they become more expensive. As they become cheaper, they become slower exp. (Or possibly it's fast and cheap exp but requires an obescene amount of clicking. Pretty sure cleaning herbs, humidify are in this category.) So, basically, no, I can't see any training method being faster AND cheaper. This applies to most skilling in RS.

Less than 100 people in a population of 135million+ RS players got 45m each is not a lot at all. Jagex made a mistake but it is neither worth a roll back nor any kind of panic. Those that gained money simply won a small lottery that will be erased within a week due to the influx of gp elsewhere. If you want to know how much money comes in from pvp, go to w137 bh crater and look at how bit the 76king population is, then go to +1 worlds and look at the edgeville rune pking population, finally taking into account that ROT, AF, Brut, DB, RP along with other pvp clans as well as JAJA and Welfarers from public pvp ccs are all getting statues and you'll figure out roughly how much gp is being generated on a per hour basis. I would say 100m/hr net being generated in pvp would still be a lower estimate. Things people should be focusing on: The fact that GE mechanics does not allow Phats to EVER reach their true value. Merch clans are able to cause inconvenience to the population. (Both of above can be solved by more frequent GE updates incidentally) Those are honestly the 2 biggest problems that's within RS atm. Hehehe your funny. P hats are not a problem imo, because, simply, it affects less then 1% of RS. Merch clans are, I guess, a problem...incidently, one which I don't think more frequent GE problems will solve. And honestly, same with p hats. But this isn't the place to discuss fixing the GE. why on earth would Jagex want to roll-back on a designed effect. They wanted the climbing boots to have a higher alch value than d and rune boots. They weren't worried about the amount of cash entering the game. The only thing they would like to rollback is the overreaction of some and that cannot be done anyway. Because you have a personal problem with an update it doesn't mean the update didn't do what it was meant to do. For Jagex this update was probably successful were it not for the fact that people blew up. Which they probably didn't see coming because they know a little bit more about the runecape economy than we do. They weren't worried about the big picture. They just underestimated the gut reaction and jealousy of many. How can you predict irrational thought? Well, it is really difficult. They probably would need a dedicated team of psychologists to just get a hint of what may set the community off. When I heard first about the update I thought nothing of it, and that actually hasn't changed. But for some it is apparently really a difficult thing to process the fact that some people might have gotten rich over an update. And then the speculation started on inflation and some people saw an opportunity here. --- No honestly, there was no rollback possible because there was no error or mistake in the design of the update. There was just a miscalculation of the human element, part of the community overreacted. And nobody can rollback a human mind. I know this is all speculative writing on the part of every poster on this article, but how do you know that Jagex really achieved what they were intending with this? Personally I find that it is all too easy these days to believe that Jagex simply did not intend the end result because they did not do sufficient research. There was no reason to make THIS change, that is the problem. 75k, or even 45k for the alchs, is a completely unreasonable price considering the ACTUAL market that existed for the boots. That is my problem with this update. It hasn't made or lost me any money at all, I just dislike the "If it isn't broken, we're not trying hard enough" approach that Jagex seem to be implementing at the moment. Nobody cared that climbing boots could achieve a 1700% price hike from Sherpa to G.E., that was the way the economy for those boots had functioned for years. To waste developer time on a fix that didn't need to happen makes me wonder exactly what Jagex were thinking. What exactly is irrational about the logic laid out in my previous post? If you can explain that, I may perhaps understand your point, but at present I can't help but be a little suspicious that perhaps you did very nicely out of the recent update and therefore are keen to defend it. They "fixed" it because it people paid a cheap amount of money for decent boots. Jagex didn't want people to pay a cheap amount to get boots of that quality. And honestly, inflation obviously didn't happen if you looked at the prices. That leaves jealousy that some people made money when *you* didn't. Way I see it, it's no different then if these people went to barrows or GW and got a great drop there. People who object to some people making a small fortune on this are, in all honesty, probably just jealous that they didn't get their piece of the pie, no offense.

I don't know, it looks better with full bandos? And that +4 str is really overrated tbh....(then again, +1 def won't do much either) Personally, if I actually got bandos armour, I'd probably get the boots to go with it.

You're right there... If defenders, halberds, maces, claws, ETC. were inventions of humans, why are there supposedly ancient versions of all these created by Dragonkin? Perhaps all the weaker metal versions are based off of the original designs of Dragon equipment. Oh. Thought process: Trying to think of plausible origin  Defenders originated from the East (hence current back story of normal defenders and "made in China" stickers) Dragonkin made Dragonite equipment  Dragonkin must've designed defenders  Dragonkin must've designed all equipment ... Oh. Seems possible enough, but I'm not sure that was what you were looking for. Or they thought: 'That human weapon is really good! Let's make a dragon version!' :-k Thought there was something about humans not existing then or similar. Or that they were undeveloped. Or that the weapons were made in the other plane before being brought over. Anyway, it was just a thought. Don't wanna really debate about this. Or, the dragonkin made it based on existing weaponry, only more powerful, so people would use them. Using dragon weapons and killing people with them in some way equates to the dragonkin gaining strength, Seems to me like they would take an existing design, improve on it, imbue dragon magic in it (probably the same kinda magic that they make dragons with) and give it to people. People start killing people with these epic weapons, the dragonkin sit in the background smiling as they somehow gain power from it. Also, dragon is somewhat smithable. You kinda smith dragon platebodies. Random thought, maybe the ape atoll monkeys have connections with some crazy smithers that hae access to dragon ore or bars or whatever, and that's where the scimitars come from? You need to do While Guthix Sleeps to get Dragon Claws yourself, and WGS has very high requirements. I don't see how it's much different really. It's still a level 60 req item that has use far beyond what it should. I don't understand all the hate on Dungeoneering. It incorporates all skills and quite nicely at that. It deserves to have some of the best rewards out there. Although I don't agree with the price, as xpx said, you would gain the ability to get them, not a single one. You DO realize that dragon claws are TRADEABLE.I'd wager that most people who use claws HAVE NOT DONE that quest. As it is, it seems illogical to connect it to dunge, at least a direct reward. It'll have something to do with the warriors guild and rune defenders, obviously, with at most an actual Dungeoneering REQUIREMENT (requirement being defined as a specific level required. No tokens.) Well, that's my opinion.

Honestly, half of how an economy works is probably something worthy of study is a sociology class..... You could, quite justifiably, combine studying economics with studying of the human brain, and how we don't actually act as rationally as we think. And throw mod/herd mentality in there too... Economics must be so much simpler on Vulcan. Now, for the inflation caused by these boots....Bandos armour, except the boots ;) went down today. The Godsword Blade went up, but the ZGS, BGS and AGS (AGS being of particular value to PVP'ers) went down. The SGS went up 5k. A tiny change, and not an item PK'ers are known to spend money on. Armadyl top/bottom showed a slight increase, but not (in my opinion) a significant one. The whip, a very commonly used item. rose 1%. Where's this inflation on Godswords and stuff that the previous poster mentioned? If I simply missed this so-called "large/massive" inflation by waiting 3 days, then obviously it wasn't much inflation. And honestly, if there was any inflation (I didn't look until today) it's just as likely that it was caused by people's emotional reaction and groundless speculation rather then by actual inflation due to all these boots. As for some people getting rich, well, I just wish it was me lol. I'm really not concerned if people made 5mil off an update like this. Really not. Pretty sure I have two pairs of boots that I'll just leave in my bank because I can't be bothered to do something with them.

I actually thought you would say this exactly: Then atleast i would understand why you rant. Yeah, I mean really. Excited about a mith chain? And wait, you'd rather have a mithril freaking chainbody then blue charms?
-
Yeah, don't worry about it. I recently had a puzzle where one of the pieces looked....wrong. But whatever, I finished the puzzle by putting the wrong piece where it was supposed to go and all went well.

Pretty sure the wolpe exp would be better. The ent effect works a bit more randomly. But I dunno. If your really interested in getting farming up, then the exp from all of those is fairly minimal.

in a nutshell: Basicly I got nothing against quests, I got nothing against players rewarded by the end. What I find pathetic in those quests, a player forced to finish it access new areas. Call me whatever you want even a troll. I been a big fan playing runescape for several years. I dont talk on my own behalf alone, but also many the players who said something like the same when doing quests. Yes! I know a quest can be done without being a geek You have nothing against players being rewarded by quests, but you have something against players being granted new areas in a quest. Er, That's actually part of the reward of the freaking quest. As for doing it with or without a guide, well. Very little you can do about it. I've used a guide more often then I should, but sometimes....I dunno, I just feel lazy. For the record, if you beat the quest before a guide comes out, chances are there are hundreds of people dong the quest you can ask. Very little people, imo, do quests without any sort of help whatsoever. If they do, kudos to them. And to the OP, I dearly hope English isn't your first language. Because, frankly, some of what you type, clearly seems to lack something.

Wow, so I like, totally get a sense of déja-vu from this....
-
Current goals are, finish off 99 magic already (98 atm) 92 summoning for wolpe, get another claw drop and keep it... Oh, before those, get 90 str/def (89 atm lol) bind a prom platebody and get 70 dunge for the freaking arcane. (stream) Then, maybe 90 firemaking with A LOT of BA, maybe 92, mainly to use handcannon effectively, then beat the ardy diary?

Is There a Warning When Attempting to High Alchemize Valuable Items?
Sir_Squab replied to DeeKay's topic in Help and Advice
Yeah, there's a warning, but I don't recommend testing this lol -
Quiet Before the Swarm 24-Jun-2010 & Free to play quest changes
Sir_Squab replied to Toad's topic in General Discussion
wow they upgraded the adamant scimitar? fail  PLEASE tell me your being sarcastic >.> -
Well, for one thing, with the shark/brew update, someone, ahem, DID complain about it. Actually. Not even lying. With the millions of people who play RS, someone always complains about everything imo. Jagex stated that they changed the shark/brew thing because someone sent Jagex that information in the Bug Report Centre or whatever. As for the climbing boots, if Jagex keeps the original boots, with the original price, I don't see any problem with a more expensive, better boot. So long as it doesn't make rune/dragon/bandos boots obsolete. Oh, and....1.4! Ish.
-
I love how they say how people are "aginst" this move >.>

I'm pretty sure Dwogres drop it more often, although I could be wrong and don't know any drop rates. Judging by the difficulty of the monster and the price, it's bound to be a fairly rare drop.
