  1. What he said. Junk trading exists for items the GE cannot cope with...these items being things that rise massively in price from the GE price, or for well.... really rare items in game, i.e. rares and spirit shields. The GE works fine for the SoL, and you think that is overpriced.... Well, most really good high end items are, in my opinion, overpriced. In a way. That is, I don't think most of them should be as expensive as they are, but people are willing to pay a premium for the top gear in game, and supply and demand causes the high price. Unless your a J-Mod. you have to live with it. I said that the staff of light isn't expensive ENOUGH, while the street price for battle robes are waay over the top. If they were like 6mil, yeah I'd consider paying that, but 15mil, no way. Sol should be 10mil+, and battle robes should be 6-7mil not the other way around. Then again, I'm not enitre sure how frequent the Sol drop rate is. I expect battle robes to rise well over the current GE price of about 850k, but 15mil.. hell no, it wont happen - people are just greedy. Well, whatever you opinion on the price of the staff of light SHOULD be, there GE is working perfectly fine to keep up with the supply and demand of that item. Junk trading only happens when the GE cannot keep up with the supply and demand. So, as best as I can tell, your ranting because items aren't worth what you think they should be worth. You can stop blaming greed for that. If you don't like the way supply and demand dictates RS economics, become a communist. The reason why battle robes are worth so much is because, unlike you, there's plenty of people WILLING to pay that price. Hmm. While your at it, why not throw in rangers boots? Lol.
  2. +1. Plus, it'd be completely, utterly stupid if it was calculated when you opened the chest because A) You can't reliably find the brother 'till you open the chest and B) If your reward was already calculated, why does he spawn, and C) why would opening and searching the chest be separate then?
  3. Personally, I like the spear the most. Controlled, which is a win for me, all 3 attack styles so I can (hopefully) target the opponents weakness.
  4. I'd save for the arcane stream, if anything.
  5. Don't dont'd don't don't don't don't don't don't use it on dragon bones. If you found a multi place that dropped big bones it might work, but keep in mind that c balls can be pretty expensive.
  6. Funny thing about SC. Go on the forums, and look for non-combat SC. If your just playing it for point, it works a hell of a lot better then doing SC with combat. And this is coming from someone with 97 mage. That being said, SC with barrage is a hell of a lot more fun imo.
  7. Honestly, you can just safespot normal dragons, and use prayer pots and antifires or just ranged/mage and antifires for metal dragons. Except for miths and wyverns, you don't really need a DFS for any task...although I have one....
  8. I'm afraid I don't know of any off-hand... But let me say one thing, I'm pretty sure losing 10lbs a month is pretty good. Yeah, you may want to lose more, but losing more weight in a short amount of time can be quit unhealthy. And, um, do you do sit-ups?

  10. Too bad! Use magic! I'm unsure about how accurate void is. I think your best bet might be battle robes + full slayer helm and SoL. Ahrims has slightly higher magic accuracy then battle robes. No idea about Void. The set effect increases your magic accuracy by 20%....But, on the other hand, void does not have high magic attack bonuses, does it?
  11. because multispell hybriding isn't already inventory intensive... I don't see a problem with multiple staffs for each different spell, just thought others might.
  12. I know im not answering your question, but why not burst rock lobs??, its similar to skeles except you get ALOT of charms +1. Pretty sure rock lobsters would use less prayer (a few more runes due to the occasional blood burst/barrage) and lots of charms. Also, I'm jealous of wolper and the arcane stream...
  13. thats easy! i would rather face the player by far. revs can attack me when im not in a pvp world killing green dragons... Would you rather get attacked by a rev or a pk'er when killing green dragons? Since people started trapping them behind walls. Jagex wanted to make them easier to stop then that, so rather then boost the AI, they walk through walls. And yes. They are revenants, not revrents. Personally, give me some food, black d-hide, a weapon and I'm good. Usually. Maybe I'm just a semi-high level, but I cannot remember the last time I died to a rev without wanting to.
  14. There's also something about collecting mushrooms for good herbs at stuff at 85 herblore. The Tipit quest guide should list the rewards.
  15. I dunno. Having a staff for each different type of spell? Figured some people might think that's overpowered or make life too easy.
  16. So, this is basically an idea I got while hearing that fire surge is quite effective on tormented demons, but only in groups because switching is a pain. While reading this, I think about my 97 magic and 83 ranged. Then I thought about the Dagganoth Mother fights. Basically, you could "bind" a spell to a staff so that the default option when equipping it is to cast a certain magical spell. Maybe the only option for wielding a bound staff; if you didn't have the runes required, you would get a message similar to attempting to use a ranged weapon without ammunition. My idea is only for the standard spellbook, as doing this with Ancients would be...controversial. Perhaps the Godspells (i.e. Sara Strike, etc) would be omitted from this. Another idea is that you could do this with any spell, including ancients, but you would only be allowed on "bound" staff at a time. Also, there wouldn't be any requirements to be allowed to bind spells, except possibly an extremely easy no-requirement quest that someone could do on a brand new account. Well, just an idea.
  17. Sorry, but i can't see this working well. What if two people hit it at the same time and kill it, for instance? I just see too many glitches, because multiple people could strike the finishing blow. Also, the attack would have to be very quick in order to avoid too many glitches or to annoy people too much, which would mess it up more, or it would be too quick to be worth it. Plus, what about ranged/mage attacks? Depending on the distance, the damage can be calculated long before the damage strikes. Have you ever been maging something from far away, and have your k0 hit after you've casted your next damage spell, essentially smacking a corpse with magic?
  18. If money isn't a concern, your best bet is probably bursting rock lobsters in waterbirth. Really fast magic exp and charms.
  19. yes, and it had nothing to do with the fact that you have soul split [/end sarcasm] Or overloads. Personally I'd probably want the longsword. I'd probably stick to my whip most of the time because I don't need to worry about having 2m after fighting stuff for a while to recharge it.... However, I would use the longsword on bosses, where, imo, the improved accuracy would come in handy. This coming from someone who DOESN'T have maxed melee or extremes or overloads. That being said, once your stats are higher enough, you care less about accuracy and more about speed. If accuracy isn't a concern, then most if not all high damage/slow speed don't hit high enough to make up for the slow speed. (I.E. if the weapon hits twice as slowly it hits twice as high.) I guess with extremes and maxed melee, the rapier would probably be more useful due to speed.
  20. Well, basically, my top floor is 20. I beat that floor, reset, and start seeing about 2k prestige on the "new" floors, due to a prestige level of 20. On floor 5, I open all the doors like usual, get a prestige of 1994 for level 20 prestige. On floor 6, I can't open all the doors due to a high level mining requirement. (I also have a tree or whatever stuck between a locked door and some books on the ground that I can't access, but that's beside the point...-.-) Anyways, I beat level 6, and suddenly my level 20 prestige is giving me 1200ish prestige points. What's up with that? If it's because I wasn't able to open all the rooms, isn't the fact that I miss out on the bonus from opening all the rooms enough?
  21. My money is on copy cat killing.Often brutal crime can inspire yet more brutal crime :x
  22. I'm not a PK'er, but I'd say a combo of Ice Blitz and ranged (perhaps dark bow?) would be fairly effective, if your a good enough pk'er.
  23. Filtering through images first? Yeah right. An in-game screenshot idea is plausible though.
  24. Your stats sound good enough to solo TD's for me. I use a unicorn there, 83 range, 90 attack, 88 def/str, and I got a pair of claws last night :) What's your prayer level? I find leech def really helps me.
