Right now I"m trying to get the strange rock for construction. I know the best way to do this is to stand in my house. Do I want to be in building mode or normal mode?
-
Pretty sure Jagex already stated that they WON'T do this. Can't remember the reason off the top of my head, but it was in the live FAQ thing.

Although I already knew the DYK, I don't see how that would be common knowledge. I mean, not like you can sell blue charms for 5k+ gp anywhere ELSE in the game, can you? And nice DYK's of your own - I didn't know/forget the smuggler could give you boss tips. Not everyone would think of using the gatestone to escape the boss. Same with the fires. Took me a while to figure those two out. On topic: until dungeoneering actually offers something to the game, something more then rewards purchased via tokens, I don't think many people will view it as a full complete skill. (Although some of those rewards are nice...tome of frost and arcane pulse next time I burst/barrage rock lobsters? :) ) Ah, here's the thing. You DON'T need maxed skills in Dungeoneering to do it well. Except maybe for the occasional stupid door. Like the 90 something str door that I couldn't open because I couldn't get a damn herb to make a damn potion to boost my damn str level. They really ought to sell herbs, or at least herb seeds. Anyhoo. Bit offtopic. But what you need in there is balanced skills - and to not have combat significantly better then your other stats. If you only have say 60 att/str/def, but have the mining/smithing levels to make armour for level 60att/str/def, perfect. However, if you have the stats to make say level 80 armour (and yes I know they have tiers and such but whatever) and have maxed combat, it kinda sucks. Oh, and I don't think Dungeoneering was planned as a mini-game before it was turned into a skill. Pretty sure it was planned to be it's own damned game, before Jagex realized how well it worked with runescape. Which explains why it kinda feels like its own game....

I'm no expert, but personally I'd keep the maul.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty damn sure this feature already exists. Although I'm not testing it =x

Er. Since when DO dragon claws require 60 range?

Why does Jagex get new skills so wrong?
Sir_Squab replied to Slayer_Jesse's topic in General Discussion
I agree that, even after Jagex has re-done the token system, it still seems fairly flawed. A common question I've seen, without a good answer, is what's the point of a reward at a certain level, when, due to the way tokens are integrated into experience, it is impossible to achieve the reward until levels later? However, part of your rant really bugs me. OMG, I've only been training for a week, I'm already 50+. Well, ok, so it's not as fast as hunter. You still got 50 friggin levels in a week. Maybe it IS slower then other skills, but so what? Less then 2 weeks after it comes out we have someone at level 87. (Yes, this person is on the top of the highscore list) The exp rate doesn't seem too bad to me. -
Not that I pay much attention to the RS market, but I'm fairly sure Godswords are crashing too.

All Stats 70+
Sir_Squab replied to ForsakenMage's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Blah. Your dungeoneering might be low, even for being a new skill, but that counts as 70+ in my books. (Lol, I'm 70+ except dungeoneering too.) Congratz! :) -
Level 2 Lobster not in Bestiary
Sir_Squab replied to Beethovens29's topic in Completed Website Corrections
I'm pretty sure you can walk around and just melee kill them and pick up the drops. They drop....wait for it...ROCK LOBSTERS! No, er, they drop raw lobsters o.O -
You know, sometimes the GE just doesn't work. My favorite example: I sell dragon legs, minimum price. Friend buys dragon legs, minimum price. No sale. I think due to how the Grand Exchange works and how it needs to check through x amount of offers or something....I think that if your buying/selling an item that is traded in small quantities, it takes longer for the GE to have offers pass through. This is just a guess however. When I got my SGS, I couldn't get it at med price in the GE, but I fairly quickly (I think) found someone selling one for med price on world 2. Depressing thing is, I paid like 72m lol.

You need 3 people for this I think. You get 3 people to stand on the 3 pressure plates facing the non-broken statues. Then it's basically the mime random, except with the mime smiting you via concentrated balls of energy should you fail.
-
Bahahahahaha! That's epic....very epic...
-
That's whacked. You mean to train this skill efficiently you need to spend several hours straight doing the different floors? I mean, if you could somehow take a break....but that's impractical...
-
You know, I get by QUITE fine doing solo runs. Although, having reasonably high stats in all skills does help. (All skills except this one are 70+) Tis not a group skill. But, rewards...the token system needs to be re-thought out. Bonecrusher: 110k tokens. Level 21. You get tokens at a rate of 1 token for 10 exp....meaning by the time you have enough tokens for it, you'll be level 75. A slightly more reasonable one. Gem bags. 25k tokens. By the time you get 250k exp, you'll be between 52 and 53. And this is for ONE reward. This token thing needs to go back to the drawing board. If it wasn't for the damn token thing it wouldn't be as bad.... It could also use just *more* in the rewards department. Maybe, for instance, more "sighted bow" type things - more items that you can attach to weapons to upgrade them, based on your dungeoneering level. The skill is simply lacking in terms of connection to the rest of the game and the token system seems ridiculous. It needs some form of changing. And this skill needs integration into the rest of the game. Perhaps it could give bonuses in already existing dungeons? Lower GW kc, perhaps shortcuts, special rooms in existing dungeons... The training method, while being unique, seems....underfocused? You aren't really "training" a skill so much as just using a wide variety of others. And I'm not even trying here. I find the skill fun in its own right, although it would get tedious after a while - but so do the rest of them. There are a few fundamental flaws they need to fix. I think I'll join the hopefuls who hope this will turn out like summoning - underpowered when it came out, but then was rebalanced and fixed and made amazing. Also, another big problem is when your doing this as a group, and a group member leaves, making it impossible to finish the dungeon... Conclusion: more "fun" (in my opinion, this is subjective) then other skills, but too much like a minigame - one that needs re-balancing for it to work.

members pay you dont, if jagex ignores them they lose alot of money. Basic business there  OT: I still agree with your point though F2P should be allowed to have access to fletching, its only fair. Here's the thing. If a P2P'er doesn't like an update, i,e, giving F2P some stuff, but doesn't quit membership, they are still paying Jagex even though Jagex made said member mad. Honestly, I don't think basic fletching would be bad; as people have pointed out, melee'ers can make rune armour, mages can make their runes, but rangers can't make their arrows. Especially bad in this where your supposed to be mostly self sufficient. Although, you *could* bind some good arrows and bow to yourself if you got a drop...Tbh. if you got a bow, you could just buy arrows. I think? If you can, don't bring money into it, as you could just bind some, go in and out, bind some, etc. Also, if you make fletching f2p, do it all the way or don't do it. By all the way, I just mean up to what F2P can use.

I read the newspost, which said I'd lost half an hour of work. I read that. Then I noticed I lost the attack level I got last night -.- Guess I was....I dunno. Didn't think it through? lol. If, once they're finished, all I lose is half an hours work, so be it :D Probably an hours work seeing as I think I lost a level of AoG. On campaign mode, I beat it then disconnected...grawr....easy level though o.O
-
I got an attack level for a primevil dagger or w/e, last night, and its gone -.- As well as...I had 16 dungeoneering? Back at 7 as best as I can tell....Hope they bring back some extra exp they took from people... As for abusers, eh, I don't blame em. I mean, when you can get 700kexp without noticing....still, fail on Jagex's part. I'm mostly annoyed at lost levels. You know, if it was only an RC glitch, what if they only rolled back RC levels, if possible?
-
Honestly, other then being incredibly fun, at least in my opinion, the advantage to the game outside of the skill itself (which is more of a mini-game) are fairly limited. Yes, flipping good items, worth the time? Probably not, in all honesty. But try it out, you'll hopefully have fun with it!

Actually, the people who like the skill are playing the minigame rather then going on the RS rants forum. On the RS forums, the majority of the people who respond to an update hate it; the people who like it are playing RS enjoying the update. I rather like it, but not as a skill. Ahahaha....your funny. Seriously, training summoning with any method OTHER then making pouches? Haha. And seriously, due the variety of the dungeons, it's much less repetitive then most skills. Cut vines for 30 hours, congratz on 99. etc. So you don't think it could actually be fun when the dungeon poses a real challenge to you and your friends? Oh thats right, its Runescape. We dont play skills to have fun. We do it to sit in a bank and grind away, seeing who can do it the longest. SIGGIED! I'd keep reading, but I just realized theres 48 pages.
-
So, now that dungeneering is out, I realized I really want 77 runecrafting for that. Casting fire surge down there is much more fun then casting fire blast. So. I have 71. Fastest way for 77? Is it still ZMI? Or is there something better, maybe natures with graahks? P.S. Don't mention tiaras. Yes, I'm sure those are damn fast, but I'm also sure it's way too damn far out my budget.

Rooms with high requirements like that are "bonus" rooms. Extra rewards but not needed to beat the level. I was reading in the KB, it mentioned these rooms; however, as for opening doors to complete your level, it said that someone on your team WILL have the level for it. So, just assume its bonus rooms. And, interestingly enough, I heard a rumour last night about the max in a skill going to level 120.....Although you can't set goals (yet) for level 120 in any skill but dungeneering. Yet....

Tip.It Adverts Discussion
Sir_Squab replied to MageUK's topic in Announcements, Rules and Security Warnings!
Your comments would make sense if fansites were run for profit. But they aren't. Yeah, people want/need money from adds and stuff, but that's because they cost money to maintain you know.... Frankly, I dislike this idea of Jagex trying to force fansites to not advertise for other games..... Nor do I like the fact that if you don't comply with this, Jagex censors the fansite name in-game....(From what I know.) -
I in no way consider them nerfing Kyatts so you can't spam-click their scroll nerfing Nomad. From the sounds of what you want it to be able to do, it sounds like they should've changed it. I never used a Kyatt there btw. Sorry for the lack of sypmathy lol. It is a really hard fight though.

Your obviously listening to the wrong people. The only thing DFS counts for is dragons. ZS, ok, does help at waterfiends. Bandos? May [wagon]. Barrows armour is cheaper and stronger, although you must repair. Karils isn't need at bloodvelds, would help somewhat. But not needed. You could range them. You don't need cannon/piety every task. Glory is the...whatever thing...d skirt of the day. Interesting thing about that analogy, is that the d skirt has the same damn stats as dragon platelegs. Zerker. +4 str. I can't see that doing much at all. Same with +6 str from bandos. Seriously, stop talking to elitists who spend half their life at Godwars. You also don't need 10m in pots. You really don't. Some tasks they help (metal dragons, waterfiends) but I get through probably 90% of my tasks without them.
