I'd say if you can fight them, TD's are awesome. You can last much longer there then at GW, and you don't need to kill 40 creatures first. They take a bit to get the hang of, and you need spare lanterns in case you die. As for gear...most high end gear is, frankly, overrated. As for DKS, I've heard lots of good things about it, but I've gone there once, years ago, with a team, never tried solo'ing...

Er.... I don't think you understand at all how this battle works. He CONSTANTLY does these special moves. He only switches to crazy-[wagon] melee attack once you get him to like 1/5th of his HP. He also heals like halfway through the battle to 3/4rths of his HP. This is normal.
-
I'd take SOSOLIDCLAWS. He's well...much more of a main then the other one. Has lots of stuff ranked.
-
As best as I know, it's a couple seconds.....Near-instant respawn when the main boss is still alive. I think.

http://forum.tip.it/topic/72652-the-fight-caves-oct-2006-aow/ Jad guide I used. And yeah. It's incredibly unlikely you'll get it on your first try.

Although I've never tried it. full void might be quite good at TD's. Swap between helms and weapons for the full void boost on melee and range.

Soemone, somewhere, will eventually get 200m in all stats. Won't be for a few years, I hope. As for new skills coming out, well...They don't come out that often. Just don't hold your breath.
-
um....what ARE you talking about? If you want enchanted headgear that is able to store offensive summoning scrolls, you have to use it on Pickupstix.

Frankly, um, I beat him with deflect mage and probably sap mage, then I think sap melee and deflect melee in berserk mode.... Let's see.... brews and super restores. It should keep up with the drain rate of leech and deflect. I think. My prayer isn't that high though =/ I wouldn't use BOTH leech range and mage. I'm sure that the prayer drain rate would be too high.

Mine has got to be a lot of FoG players. Particularly high levels, often with barrage, d claws, or other "elite" or very-high level gear/stats. They seem to think they deserve to win. Now, I've got nothing against someone with barrage and dragon claws winning. It's their attitude. The attitude being is, as best as I can tell from their actions.. "I'm a high level with better stats then you and better armour. So please go tank at the centre, like me, instead of playing cat and moues in the way which the game was intended, so I can get an easy victory over you with my superior stats." No, I've never heard someone say it, but I just get annoyed at how people get annoyed with me for say, RUNNING INTO THE FREAKING HOUSE BECAUSE I ACTUALLY, YA KNOW, HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST BEING HIT WITH A FREAKING DRAGON CLAWS SPECIAL ATTACK!? And, personally, if I end up against someone who's good at hiding, I enjoy it for the chase. that annoys me.. you shouldn't judge someone on spelling and grammar..its a game if i wanted to spell or say things properly all the time id go to school -.- You know, the point of good grammar at school ISN'T actually to, um, have good grammar at school. It's, um, so they use it in other areas in life. Now, I'm sure they weren't thinking, you know, video games when this happened... It's to actually communicate with people well. I can't get too annoyed, because, at least in your post you have good grammar and spelling. Didn't capitalize some words, but I'm not that picky. But with some people it can be atrocious. I've seen much better English typing from ESL kids then native speakers.

Here's the thing about the new, non-pvp wilderness. Ever since Pk'ers went bye-bye and got replaced by the less dangerous revenants, Jagex started sprucing up the wilde. We have a quest there. Imagine that quest on a bh world. Or f2p'ers going to CLW. Or even FoG, although there IS a bank there. Wilderness penguins. And also, I think one of the reasons PVP is only on a few worlds is partly because they want PVP crowded. That way there's much less of a chance for someone to abuse the system.
-
Personally, I'd say keep Lunars, mainly because there's no reason to get rid of it. I mean, you can't sell it can you? If bankspace becomes an issue however, do dtich it.

I pick up greens, because I can make a unicorn outta them. Something useful. Might stop one of these days. I also pick up golds and greens when I burst rock lobsters. Not entirely sure why. Most of the time I ignore golds though. If I'm going for charms, I find anything less then bursting/barraging rock lobsters too slow. At least since 85 summon, which I got on the exp weekend.

How do you have 9 constitution, why do you have level 2 attack, is the level 2 attack in any way related to level 9 constitution, if so, how? 'o.O

How much would whip cost if it could train strength?
Sir_Squab replied to ilovesilvia's topic in General Discussion
I have to point this out. This is one of my major RS pet peeves. People think the whip is so freaking fast. IT ISN'T. Sorry about that. But, honestly. The whip is matched in speed by every single dagger in the game, the ZS, the SS I think, and every single scimitar. And short swords I think. As for strength...well, we have 3 level 70 tier weapons and one weapon over that, not including PVP items. That, to me, adds up to 4 high end weapons... The GS, ZS, SS, whip. The SS and whip are tied for strength and accuracy on slash, however the SS also has a crush option. Yes it is better then ZS on slash attack bonus and str bonus. The GS is well, slower and more powerful of course. However, the whip has the added advantage of being one handed and used with the defender, which makes it arguably higher accuracy and str then the SS as well. Grawr. Had to get that out of the way. And yes, the SS would drop a lot if this happened. I'm sorry, have you gone there recently? At least, on a friday night? As for the whip not spiking...the moment Jagex does something to the whip that isn't negative or immediately perceived as negative, the price goes up. Proof: the price of the whip went up when the BA update, which allowed new colours of whips. Although, it wouldn't rise much, seeing as the whip essentially a staple for a high level period....Maybe some people just got it for different colours? 'o.O It wouldn't rise much though. -
+1. Also, I actually emptied a c bow there lol. Would be nice if we could repair it when its mostly full, to keep it top notch or something. Maybe get rid of the degrading power. Ok, done dreaming.

Not with magic. Much more effective things to do with magic then PC, especially since your exp is halved.
-
You have some good points....however, a few things bug me: Soul Split. Yeah, ok, it rocks, it's better then the healing effect of SGS....er, except, if I sold my sgs and spent all my money on dragon bones....I wouldn't have soul split. Interest. Assuming 1% interest on 35m. Ok, if you merch stuff at the GE that's fabulous. I don't. There's no bank on RS I can just shove 35m in and expect interest. And, personal preference, I don't like specs like dragon claws. Perhaps it's because last time I owned a set (for like 10 minutes lol) I used the special twice on two level 21 guards in Edgeville and failed to kill them. And I personally don't like the idea of a special which only helps on one monster. Oh and I do like TD's :P

As I was cleaning the herbs from my kingdom this morning, I started wondering: can I get a rock doing this?
-
What the hell? Since when is full battle robes 10m+ on the street. I'd say an hour at most to charge it. F2P ranging with adamant arrows is the fastest way to get tokens if your stats are decent.
-
I think you can charge air orbs at your level. Decent exp combined with money. If you have money to waste, alching would be faster.
-
I doubt it. As an individual, you might get tired, but as a group....if nothing else, there's always a new batch of people ready to fill in the gap. I think it's just....before Jagex announced there was no "real" reward for the rocks and the house statue...Well....anyone in it just for the reward probably wouldn't of even tried it in the first place. Because, to them, there was no real reward, as none was announced. The general skillers who do it for fun, variety, etc, will continue doing it because, well, it's more fun then grinding one skill I guess. And because you don't really "waste" time getting the rocks, it's just an extra reward to something many people might just be doing anyways. In conclusion, well...I think the first point about how it is the real reason no one complained. The fictional was great. The second last paragraph REALLY made me laugh :)
-
I hope that with the new F2P boss thing, one of the rewards is trimmed armour. Or some other way to implement F2P being able to get the god-trimmed armour and other trimmed armour themselves. In a way I fully support giving F2P grunt work, but for purely selfish reasons: it would make things easier/cheaper for me as a member. But if nothing else, that would be an incredibly bad PR move on Jagex's part. (Although iron/bronze arrows isn't a bad idea, seeing as f2p themselves will use it. But that requires giving them fletching.....)

I have to disagree with near-maxed out combat. I've heard of people under 100 having the cape. Personally I ranged 90% of nomad with about 80 range. War tortoise and brews helped.(Although I did melee him on the last stage with 85+ melee stats.) Nomad, although incredibly difficult, isn't as hard as many people think. It hasn't gotten that bad yet. And I'm pretty damned sure that's why the 300qp helm came out.

Considering that the average person with 75 attack doesn't have nearly enough money for a Godsword....and furthermore, it's not that amazing. At lower attack levels you might just not often enough for it to be worth it. I have an SGS but I only use it for the special attack and bosses. Most of the time I use a whip. And come to think of it, the guy who pointed out that after apparently 5 years (I think it might be more, I thought I've been playing for 5 years and I'm pretty sure slayer was out when I started) is either the best or tied for the best melee weapon in ze game.
