  1. Now that I think about it, that does seem like a good solution. I would say two changes, then pay - I've seen a lot of people make mistakes (myself included) and I think it would be best if everyone got a second shot, then had to pay through the nose. I don't think changing it only twice is a good idea. A limit is bad, because it will always be possible to get a name you don't like. However, I think changing it once a month is too much. I have some people who change it each and every single month. I think they need to make it more of a yearly basis. Change it twice a year maybe, Or maybe once a year, but you can have an option of changing your username to whatever it was before the change. Or maybe up to 3 itmes a year, I dunno. Frankly, I changed my name pretty much the day name changing came out, and so far I've stuck to it.

Don't do it for a pat on the back....man....how different would the world be without people doing that... Most people who own nice cars wouldn't, a lot of people would have dead lawns and be proud of it, gated communities might not exist.... That's off topic. Personally, I've never see much of a point in a pure. I'd rather have all my skills on one account. As for skilling pures, well, I like combat quite a bit....so, yeah. But if someone wants to do that, that is their problem.
  3. 100% support. I'd like to actually go GW with my clan, but it's almost impossible to find a world. This is also why I like TD's (even though I don't like my stats for solo'ing them)
  4. I second that. Take it one step at a time, also, you are supposed to be "less likely" to fall every time you do fall, because you get to know the terrain better or something. But yeah, 7 is nothing,
  5. To be perfectly honest, this: They just want the shiny crown. And the rumors probably come from immature kids who are too lazy to find out for themselves and therefore make these things up. What I find really ironic though, is that for every person that says they are too lazy to read the information, they are typing that in response to something they've just read. But I guess they want it all on a silver platter. But the average player, or at least a fair chunk of them, finds something inherently wrong with figuring things out by themselves, such as checking the GE database or the manual. I use both, because in all honesty its usually faster to check it yourself then to ask someone. As you can tell by this mini-rant, people being too lazy to read stuff is one of my pet-peeves.
  6. +4 str isn't enough to make you hit one more point of damage. But get it anyways, barb assault ftw >.>
  7. Well, I like doing Bork and buying battlestaffs from Zaff every day, but either my life is too hectic to play RS at a regular time each day, or I'm un-coordinated. So, I'm wondering about their reset - is it like once every 24 hrs, or is there a set reset time for it? If so when is it? Thank you.

I've been doing 10 maples 5 flax for years :P From this thread, it seems that most options are profitable.
  9. Could some please explain how 93 slayer is in any way similar to killing jad? You don't need good internet connection or reflexes or learn not to panic in stressful situations for slayer. And as for stats and gear, those don't count much towards Jad. Pures who are good at prayer switching can kill him with flowers. (I don't know this, but I know pures have killed him and I know he's been killed with flowers.) Personally, I think the compromise was too in favour of people with a firecape, but then again I don't know how many points you need to spend. As for the experience of everyone else, what about the experience of people who have failed 10 times on jad? People who simply do not have the internet connection? Or just simply panic and die? Also, there is a difference between listening to constructive criticism and giving into whiners. Besides, people who have 93 slayer and complain about it aren't likely to be your average immature forum whiner. Not really much difficult than having a slayer monster that, say, requires a quest to access. Personally my thing with the fire cape req is that a quest can be done without a chance of failure and wasting X hours doing it over and over with nothing to show for it. Summer's End. While Guthix Sleeps. Nomad's Requiem. Mourning's End Pt. II. Need I continue? PAH! Having done Jad and all the quests, none of those come close. Mep2 comes close, with that stupid agility part that I failed 50 times...But failing 50 times takes less then 3 hours. Nomads Requiem and Summers End also has a lot of deaths, but you can go back and try again within 5 minutes. Jad takes 3 hours to try again. And I have no idea why you think WGS is that hard. 1. Not really, 10 Firecape attempts can be up to 30 hours, and even then you might lose. 2. Life isn't fair. Deal with people without firecape killing ice strykewyrms? You forget one thing. You can't grind jad. With slayer, once you put in enough hours, you have 99. With Jad, it isn't guaranteed. Plus, you level up as you do slayer. If you do 3 hours at jad, then lose to jad, you've accomplished nothing except some range exp. Also, leave the sol drop-rate alone. You already need 93 slayer and task to kill them. For the people saying they have issues with reflexes and/or internet connection (and advocating the idea of 'time should be able to solve everything in RuneScape'), even if you remove the 2 hours of grinding prior to seeing Jad, they won't be able to beat it anyway, so what makes this point a legitimate argument? ^^ this. Only half the issue is connection. This is mainly about adult players on the RSOF complaining that they can make it to jad but cant kill him. And honestly if they cant handle Jad they dont deserve free mills. (sorry im saying the same thing over again but im trying to beat this logic into peoples heads) This isn't logic. It's an opinion. Logic has reasoning and understanding, not just stubbornly sticking to one point to try and force it down other people's throats. I can name one reason: Laggy connections. Its the one main reason i will never attain a fire cape,,, (untill of coure better pc or internt, both i have to pay for comes along) But i, Personally don't care otherwise, just that post above bugged me And what's stopping you from going to a friend's house? A library? Sigh this is gonna turn into the new should f2p get skill capes debate isn't it? For one you might be in the country where everyones internet connection is the same, if they have any at all. 2nd, just personally but the nearest library is a 3 hr round trip. not everyone lives in a city where you can have anything in a 10 minute walk. Then don't play the game. Just because of your personal issues (no money to pay members, no good connection to fight Jad among other dangerous game content), doesn't mean that we compromise on everything. Is the world unfair? I'm glad you realised that. That applies even for a game. But hey, Jagex won't hear us here. I need to devote more time to posting on the RSOF. WHY THE [bleep] DON'T YOU DEAL WITH IT INSTEAD! I AM SICK OF EVERYONE HERE BEING UNABLE TO DEAL WITH THE LACK OF FIRECAPE REQUIREMENT AND TELLING PEOPLE TO SUCK IT UP! WHY DON'T YOU SUCK IT UP AS WELL! Sorry about that, but this is really irratating me. Yeah. Afterall, 93 slayer is easy. I have 20 accounts with that, 15 of them with ice strykewyrm tasks. And could someone come up with one good reason to make Jad a requirement? Other then, Jagex shouldn't nerf stuff, it makes it more elite, because 93 slayer and task only isn't enough. As for life not being fair, well, maybe life isn't fair and you need to deal with Jad not being a requirement. Or, if life not being fair is the reason for needing to kill jad, that implies you are criticizing Jagex for being fair? And again, 93 slayer is high level. Also, there's bad internet and there's bad for Jad internet. If you get a couple seconds of lag that messes up your prayer and you get k0ed... A couple seconds of lag every now and then isn't bad for must of RS except PVP and maybe difficult boss monsters. But with a good team, and not tanking.... However, after this huge rant, I must add that I dislike the compromise. The firecape doesn't offer a great advantage there anymore. I think perhaps Jagex should make firecape exclusive content that doesn't require something like 93 slayer? And yes, it would have been better if Jagex did this upon release.
  10. I think the lack of rewards in Castle Wars makes it a good thing. That way, if you have a really unbalanced team, it doesn't matter as long as you have fun. Also, Soul Wars doesn't always have equal teams from my experience...
  11. Works quickly enough for most demand tbh. Doesn't work well for new items, or extremely rare items like rares, spirit shields, etc. Also, some item prices are "broken;" if there's an item at the lowest price the GE allows the item to go to, and you can't sell it at that price, that indicates a flaw. Try selling addy p++ arrows from GW, for example. Or unstrung bows. Overall, it works well enough for fairly high demand items that have a fairly high supply. But not all items meet that criteria.
  12. A free, replaceable sword with the stats of a dragon long? No thank you. Also, I really dislike "do x with x object." What's so special about entering a fortress WITHOUT deflect melee, which a lot of people don't have? Another thing, it feels like theres a lot of things missing. Or just not enough stuff. Maybe cursed magic logs? Also, solo'ing CE? I don't think it's a good idea, if nothing else due to the crowdedness of it.
  13. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I've thought of this before this wyrms came out, Maybe letting you choose your task right after the 10th task, providing you didn't have that task last (doesn't matter to me, but it's programmed not to get two tasks in a row, that might be an issue) and providing you didn't cancel a task during that 10. Or just cancelled one. Maybe even you can only choose one you didn't have during the 10 o.O Just throwing some ideas out there. On how it'd work. Maybe just spend enough slayer points to choose. If it happened, little details like that would be up to Jagex to decide, but I support 100%. I think it definitely should only be allowed to happen on say 1/10 tasks, so that people don't abuse it.
  14. Healers would only work in a mini game like setting (we have healers at barb assautl) or if you made lunar mages invulnerable at that boss. Of course they can't attack. I also think that this ideal boss wouldn't hurt you that much if you do it right, but you have to do it right. The problem is, people will always be complaining about how hard a boss is, because people will always figure out the perfect strategy to make him easy. Unless Jagex just makes something obscenely powerful...this has already been tried with corp though. I personally don't think an obscenely powerful boss is the answer.
  15. Its easiest noob not cheapest, fact is if you throw money at it it takes [cabbage] all time to lvl. And you dont have to work for the gold, you can stake and get it like cursedyou, then buy the skill. Any one who has vast ammounts of gold (rmts, macroers, stakers, merchants, lurers, mage bankers like di or ag) ect can get 99 construction very fast. If you can buy it fast its easy, 99 magic with charge on my staker was easy, took me 6 hours, cost me well over 100m when blue party hats were 60m, doesnt mean it wasnt easy. In my oppinion easiest skill by far is fletching, then construction, then prayer, then cooking. Your absolutely correct. It is extremely easy for anyone and everyone to get 100m to blow on construction.
  16. I like more original bosses then high hits and HP. Called imagination....Food that heals 50-60 is also overpowered imo. But seriously just original bosses that require strategy to fight, not just stand and smack. What if you made a boss that you needed to prayer swtich and run away from? That would be difficult, but it's difficulty that requires more "skill" then levels/ Just random ideas. What about weapon switching? Theres lots of elements in different boss fights already that you could use for a hard boss, and probably more things yet to be imagined.
  17. Personally, I'm not too worried about bosses maxing out. Insead of making them stronger, make them harder to fight. Tormented Demons are a good example; if your good, you can kill lots if your good at it, but you have to be good at it. Insetad of strong bosses, just bosses that require more strategy to fight.
  18. If anythings sexist, that would be. Although I do wonder why they have different weight. If people want to pay more for platelegs, because they like the look of them on their male acc, which most of RS is made of, fine. Personally, I have platelegs, but if a guy wears plateskirt, w/e, he's just trying to save money. Didn't there used to be a guy in RSC who used to change platelegs into plateskirts or something? 'o.O
  19. Last quest was Nomad's requiem...Before that, agility benefits, barb assault, thats kinda neutral...Kuradels dungeon, high level slayer, Temple at Sennestein, high level prayer... Well, kinda convenient that this update happens before I craft a bunch of deaths :P Mint cake is kinda funny but doesn't affect me. Didn't try the minigame out either. Kinda wish the pet did something useful though. More points or exp at the mage training arena? Some sort of RC boost? Still, it's a pet, Jagex doesn't make useful pets.
  20. I just got my SGS, and I have to say, it's better then I thought it would be. Although I kinda miss the small cash pile I had before it, it's worth the SGS. I'll make back my cash pile soon enough. (Cash pile being 14m, used that and a claw drop O.O and bgs to get it.)
  21. I tried claws spec for fun on a level 21 guard in edgeville and I didn't kill the guard....My other spec didn't kill the second guard I attacked...Glad I sold em. They have high damage potential, but just because they hit really fast doesn't mean they hit accurately.
  22. YES I personaly prefer Mage there with a black salamander. Although it is defenitly worth it with verac's. 70 prayer is worth it if you ask me. As for barrows, if you just get the skirt and the brassard and a salamander that would work for barrows I think. The brassard and skirt don't cost that much...I think.
  23. The first article was mildly amusing. Second article....Personally, I disagree with most, if not all of it. I wouldn't mind vidding some stuff, and this orb could make it easy for me. I also think it's nice seeing Jagex focus on PR instead of quietly making gameplay updates. Too much focus on clans, etc, is a bad thing, but...honestly, until Mod MMG came in, I don't think there was ANYTHING except maybe a forum section. I've also seen a good deal of high level updates and some very nice quests this year; the year when, I thought, content would suffer because it was the upgrade year. Despite being in a small clan, I often play the game solo-ish, and I'm quite happy with how it is right now.
  24. Well, I've recently started to kill tormented demons...I've gotten fairly decent at it, killing them isn't (too) much of a problem for me... The one thing I'm having a problem with is safespots. I can usually single one out, but sometimes I get like 5 demons wanting to attack me, and sometimes no matter what I do, I can't fight them without at least one attacking me. Any advice?
