  1. So because your school has police and security and drills, this makes uniforms useless? No, Uniforms are useless because it benefits nobody but the school. Go on. I don't know of any schools that sell their own uniforms, clothing stores do that. And what is wrong with benefiting schools? There's nothing else. They only make the school look good and I'm sure they get some of the profits as well.

So.. Why not just blow it out? Or lick your fingers and squish the flame. Because that's not awesome. I'm working on lighting a match with one hand, but I need a better matchbook. The ignition strip on the I've got is worn out. Light it on your boots!

Parade marched! No more parades until September! \ There was horse crap along the ground but the position I was in line kept me exactly 2 steps away from the poo.
  6. In my old school that taught 5th-7th grade they had like 5 dances a year.
  7. Torterra hung on with focus band, torterra used earthquake, empoleon fainted. And if the torterra was baton passed with speed up in or trick room is in effect that empoleon will get hit twice. Besides Swampert>Empoleon. 400% grass damage with 5 resistances > 200% fight, electric, and ground with 12 resistances? The only pokemon on his team that can learn Baton Pass is Blaziken. Blaziken is in no way going to be able to power itself up and then switch to Torterra. Also none of his pokemon can learn Trick Room.
  8. I don't think that private militaries are going to get out of hand and become war mongers of the future, but let's just hope for the best.
  9. QFT Scapegoating. The chain. Religion is fine. Thinking it will magically solve everything is just foolhardy indeed. What happened to the days when religious nuts went like: "This baby is a manifestation of the devil! Drown it in holy water!"
  10. Empoleon + Ice Beam = dead Torterra. Sorry guys but it's true, which is why Empoleon is king of DPP.
  11. I usually end up with very different teams, unless I try to get the same ones each time. Like right now, I'm using Dragonite, Tyrannitar, Charizard, Blaziken, Pikachu, and Empoleon/Torterra on Diamond and Pearl. But I never look in the same places twice in a row if I don't want the same teams. That's a very bad team dude. First off you have way too many starters. 4 starters on a team is asking for death. Secondly your other 2 are extremly overused and are way too easy to counter. The fact that my one starter on my team (Empoleon) could take out 5 of your pokemon (If you use Torterra) is really bad.

Tip: Food will never come out to look like what it is on the box or the picture.

  14. Can I come too?
  15. Exactly. You are aware that when I mean someone, I also mean a few elderly people that need medical support to live a bit longer. I think the Third Reich is calling you for duty. Why should the elderly spend society's money (yes, society's money: medicare, social security, etc.) to live longer? Those resources could be better spent to help potentially productive members of society. And holy [cabbage] 5 posts had been submitted since I started this post... The senior citizens get money from us because they've made their contribution to society and deserve to live a comfortable life because of it.
  16. You say it is not alive, yet she is more complex than any bacteria I've ever seen. I think you'd agree that bacteria is very much alive. And what does "productive" mean? She's multicellular and eukaryotic so she's more complex? Hell at least bacteria live to reproduce which is more than what Faith has done or will do.
  17. But if mother nature gets to decide then it will definitely die. That's the same as saying she deserves to die. Then so be it. Where does father nature come into the picture? It was mother nature's time of the month and she killed him. Uh... the baby isn't dead. Who said that? I said mother nature killed father nature.

  19. Anyone who actually teases someone about the clothes they wear nobody really likes. Said person would have to be wearing something extremly dirty, tacky, or the person seems to be colorblind. The "Check out my new clothes" phase only happens the week after Summer and Christmas break.

It is easy. It's just algebra applied to shapes.
  21. Everybody is an organism, what do you mean? Even though the baby doesn't have a brain, its still a person without any advanced genetic terms. To be a "person" one needs to have individuality, which requires higher brain function. Everyone is an organism, and almost all humans are also self-aware individuals as well. This baby is an organism too, but it is not a "person", it's a human shaped (almost) mass of unintelligent flesh and bone with a metabolism, nothing more. I disagree. Even though the only thing the baby has is a brain stem, she is still a person with extremely limited capabilities. She has zero capabilities.

We have a parade to march tommorow. I'd have no problem with this if school wasn't out tommorow as well.
  23. It isn't the companies job to stop addictions to their product, in fact that's kind of the point of most companies. Basically it's the kid's fault for doing nothing else and the parent's fault for not intervening. JaGeX Doesn't have to do anything except provide these addicts with their game.
  24. Let's see here... The uniforms cost money, which adds up over the years. Bad for the parents, good for the school. The uniforms make the students look 'distinguished'. Good for the school's reputation, but where's the benefit for the students? And trust me I don't exaggerate when I say we only need an I.D. to get into our school. Our entrances are barred, we have a fully armed police squad, and we have fire drills, bus evacuation drills, earthquake drills and lock-down drills every week. In fact the Friday before Easter weekend an armed robbery happened about 10 miles away from the school and we went into lock-down with 2 police at every entrance. It all justs comes down the the fact that uniforms are useless.
  25. Too right, then you can factor in safety... uniformed students makes identifying people who shouldn't be within the school boundries. Maybe a bit of pride in the school you attend (and represent) rather than your own self-gratification to "look good", and so on. Uniforms have been through my entire education except for university. And I really didn't give it a second thought, I may have disliked some dress-code standads some power-trippy administration wanted to enforce but at the end of it having a cry isn't going to achieve much. Also, once you hit the work force, in most jobs it is a uniform or no job, fairly simple concept to grasps... and for most people it will be a uniform of some type (even a strict dress code) till you essentially retire. Self expression is from your mind and actions, the clothing you wears is essentially a cheap cop-out to the real methodologies. If you feel that the clothes you wear is the only outlet you have to express yourself effectively then you aren't trying hard enough, if at all. Why exactly do we need a full uniform to tell if we belong in the school or not? My school just uses I.D.s and you can't get in without one on. Pride in the school? How are uniforms going to make anyone like their school anymore than they already do? It's only going to make it worse. And do realize that it's customer service jobs that mainly require a uniform everywhere else like in an office just requires something a little former. School uniforms have no benefit to anyone except the school.
