But the population of all species combined grows each year, so where would new 'life' come from to fit into the new bodies/creatures born? there are a lot of animals we've never discovered yet and quite a few species are going extinct right now. and what about life not on Earth?

reincarnation and for that never ending cycle thing: i think that "seeing your life flash before your eyes" is happening right up until the point you die then you reincarnate into a random gender and species
