Because there is still a demand for them even with the introduction of the D platebody. I my self don't really fancy the D platebody too much. I like the D chain better.
-
I haven't caught a single big shark. So good luck to you. Hope you're luckier than I am.
-
I know how you feel. As you can see I'm so close to 99 thieving but it gets so boring doing pyramid plunder. What I've been doing is alternating between the pyramid and the sorceress garden for summer squirks. That kinda helped with the boredom abit. Good luck with your training.

As you can see in my sig, I really enjoy slaying. I still do slayer tasks even if I'm already at level 99. And you can also see the RC is my lowest level skill. RC is so boring and extremely slow. But that's just my opinion.
-
I would only recommend continuing on with slayer training if you have fun doing it. The cash adds up from the drops, not just from whips or d bows. I know it's not as profitable nowadays as compared to when whips sold for 6mil then 4 mil apiece but it's still a great way to train your melee skills as the same time. I still slay a lot since I really like it. And the cape is one of the most respected and coolest capes in the game. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Post "While Guthix Sleeps" Borking WARNING SPOILER
aglips replied to stormveritas's topic in Help and Advice
Bork is still around. I paid him a visit yesterday. -
Correct me if I'm wrong but the reason the first set is a common drop is because it's part of the quest and designed for the player to get the 3 pieces of armor from the first 3 guards you kill. It's not a coincidence or luck that you got all 3 pieces right away. Now getting extra pieces is different story.
-
I have mine maxed at maples and rest on flax and I've never had to wait a full day to sell the maples at market price. A lot of players buy the maples for FM training.
-
And I agreed with you.
-
You're ranging because you are training range and maxed out on melee skills. That's understandable for you but the point here is if meleeing or ranging is better for slaying bloodvelds. And for most people who have higher melee stats, it's faster to melee them.
-
It's nice to see someone who's an expert on the slayer skill and slaying bloodvelds insisting that range is best way to do the task. From my own experience with slaying bloodvelds, majority of the people there use melee as I do. There might be the occasional ranger but for the most part, it's meleers. I did try ranging them but it took a lot longer to finish the task which is why most people just melee them. And I'm almost sure that I've killed more bloodvelds than the average player/slayer. So to answer your question, use blackmask if you use melee.
-
I've never left a task without at least one pair. Pure luck on your part. D boots, like any other drops, are dropped randomly. I've killed over 10k of them and have gotten over 300 pairs of D boots but there have been a task or two that I've not gotten a single D boot drop. As soon as my task was done, I left to get another task. I did not stay or camp out there hoping for a drop as some people tend to do. Black Demons in the chaos tunnel have one of the highest drop rates of crimson charms.

Fast question about dark beasts -Different then other thread
aglips replied to ilovecardj's topic in Help and Advice
You need to complete Mournings End Pt 1 and start Mournings End Pt2 and then get to the part where you finally meet the Dark Beasts. Remember that you also need level 90 in Slayer in order to do damage to these dark beasts. -
All 4 of the Black demons in the chaos tunnels have those graphics. You're absolutely correct. All 4 of them drop primarily crimson charms at about the same rate. I just got 99 crimson charms from a task of 169 black demons. Appears to be one of the best crimson charm droppers in the game.
-
The only time I will leave a charm on the ground is when I'm at the metal/mith drags. D Bones and hides are more important to me.

a lvl 121 who has never gotten a chamipon scroll
aglips replied to mmmorgan's topic in General Discussion
I haven't even gotten a sniff of a champion scroll and I've killed A LOT of imps and goblins. So don't feel too bad. -
I use a bunyip familiar and have no need for any food. Bring as many pouches and pots to stay as long as you want. You might want to add this to your guide.

Slayer cape, what else? It's the baddest cape in RS.

Good idea to invest? Dragon Platebody, skirt and leg related!

Why use it when Torag is better and cheaper? How do you know Torag is better if the D platebody hasn't even been released yet and there's no info on it? :shame: well if you not a complete [developmentally delayed] you would notice that EVERY dragon equement have less defence then torag -.- and you also notice that torag have a def req. on 70 and dragon only 60. try think before you post, this is logic hope you going to learn how is function ;) [bleep] logic. What IF when the dragon plate comes(probably year 2114) it has better defense then torags does? Would that make you the [developmentally delayed]? gratz you just achieved lvl 99 in being [developmentally delayed]. 10 def more in req insures that it will not be better then torag. look at [bleep] 3rd age cost like 200m(streetprice) and is [bleep] rare compared to dragon and barrows yet it still don't have better stats then barrows. reply to me again [developmentally delayed] this is very amusing  What's amusing is your fixation on using the words "developmentally delayed" and[bleeps]. Been called that too many yourself I see based on your avatar of yourself. Time to visit the ortho. lol: -

Does it makes any sense for Jagex to release a D pl8 in the future and not make it the best pl8 in the game. Keep in mind that they try to improve the new "equipment" (this is the correct spelling cause it looks like they haven't taught it to you grade school yet). Barrows armor was released way after d legs was, so they made it better. You might want to ponder that. I did. -

Where did I ever say that the D pl8 would be better? I never said that. Without it even being released yet and not knowing what it's stat will be, how can you be 100% sure. It probably might not be as good as torag but we don't know yet. So it would be dumb to assume something you know nothing about, robinwoodie. -

Why use it when Torag is better and cheaper? How do you know Torag is better if the D platebody hasn't even been released yet and there's no info on it? :shame: I think it's fairly safe to assume that, considering Torag's requires 10 more defence levels than dragon and existing dragon items are weaker compared to their Torag counterparts, Torag's will be the stronger option. Don't always assume. Don't you know what ASSUME does? -

ULTIMATE Monster hunting guide - Mithril dragons âš©
aglips replied to Cinderovo's topic in General Guides
I suggest you go with rubbies, cheaper. But honestly, they both dont have much difference. Have fun \ ouch, bad advice....take both, use ruby(e) till the dragon has about 2/3 hp left then switch to diamond(e) if you only use ruby(e) then you are wasting a lot of special attacks and hp.(remember taht ruby takes 20% of the opponants hp and 10% of yours) Using ruby(e) is also not the best method since it takes 10% of your HP therefore making you eat more often and lessens the number of mith drags you can kill per trip. I only use diamond(e) bolts and they hit quite often. I pray range and so far I'm able to kill 10-12 mith drags per trip. Unfortunately the best drops I've gotten so far are rune weps/armor and chewed bones. -
Word of advice. Read the guide first before running your mouth. He said he NEVER owned a guthans set EVER. It's No. 6 in his guide.
