That guide is not really any help at all. Anyone with max melees, prayer, herblore, and summoning should have no problem against Nomad. Additionally, he did many things wrong. He should have used magic defense armor for the first part. A beast of burden would have been more helpful than a combat familiar. First of all, i agree that this video doesn't help tecmaster one bit because of the difference in combat and skill levels. Secondly, he did not do things the wrong way. He did it his way and succeeded in killing nomad. What he did though is take the unconventional route to reaching the ultimate goal of killing the nomad. He did whatever it took to finish the job. I meant that he did things the wrong way if he was trying to make a guide. What he did -- using all the best equipment, prayers, and potions -- should be obvious to high-level players who have access to all those things. And lower-level players would never be able to beat Nomad with that setup. He basically made a guide that says, "just do what you always do," which is not really advice. For high-level players, it's just telling them to do nothing different, and for low-level players it won't work because they do need to do something different. i saw this vid on youtube the first day it posted. I was a bit surprised by the steel titan myself.

He needs money, so how can running away give you money, think about that!? LOL FAIL. He needs to complete his clue, but Revs are in the way. Learn to read. Ya yall really do need to learn to read. This topic is almost 2 months old. I doubt that the OP is still on the clue. He better not be. ROFL.

Please elaborate why.

I haven't noticed a difference.

Please don't say things like this like it's a fact since you are giving out wrong info. I know it's not true since I personally got my first ferocious ring drop on my fourth kuradal task. Just wanted to make it clear to the rest not to expect a ferocious ring on each task. It's all random. To the thread starter, yes you can have more than 1 ring.

Great. So the next time you post on this thread, I expect you to tell us what color cape you chose.

Are you running out of food or is he just hitting you faster than you can heal? Have you ever considered bringing sara brews and restore pots instead of rocktails? I think that's where you're coming up short on. When I killed the nomad I still had 7 sara brews (4) and 2 super restore pots left over. Also try using z spear as the main wep instead of SGS. i only used sgs for the specials.
-
Good to know that we can get both colors. Didn't even think of trying it.
-
It's really just a matter of keeping up with sipping the restore pots after the sara brews to keep att/str def at 99. Also make sure your HP is higher than 75 or the -1 of your hp when those hits are delivered. I used z spear w/ turmoil/soul split prayers. I got the red cape. What color did you guys choose?

How about fletching or using them as trade junk.

Based on your stats (doesn't even look like you can even start the quest anyway) 70 zeal really would not mean a whole lot but for me 70 zeal = 283.5k prayer XP. :) And someone else pointed out the 12 prayer bonus the cape gives is awesome.

Ditto

It's not the best xp around but It's easy xp and there's always the chance of getting a shield drop. It would entirely up to you if you enjoy doing it. It is a game after all. Take me for example, I already have my slayer cape but I enjoy slaying so much that I still get slayer tasks instead of training my other skills.
-
I've gotten randoms that didn''t give out XP lamps. Rare but not impossible.
-
If i'm not mistaken, they can hit through your prayer so you can still use prayer protection for the most part. I just make sure I have my healing familiar with me and lots of food.
-
Another advantage to using CT is that it's always empty and you have the place all to yourself. I've been using the Balmung instead of the whip. Even though it's a slower wep, it seems to hit more often and of course with more damage.

You got extremely lucky the last trips you had at spiritual mages and abby demons. You NEVER get D boot/s or whip drop on each trip you make there. In fact, you will most probably NOT get a whip drop on majority of your tasks at the abby demons and maybe none or 1 or 2 D boot drops at spiritual mages. And i can personally say that you can go days without a whip drop while camping there.. So slayer isn't the surest way of making money. It's too dependent on your luck.. Blue or green dragons are guaranteed cash.

Green or blue dragons.

You're entitled to your own opinion but based on personal experience of mine and others, cooking gauntlets do affect rocktail. So it's time for you to test it yourself instead of disputing what we already have proven ourselves.

Looks like that guide needs to be updated to include rocktail and cavefish. Rocktail and cavefish are unaffected by the gauntlets. This can easily be established by the fact the lvl 76 (to cook) sharks only stop at 94 WITH gauntlets and never without. Given that cavefish and rocktail take 85 and 90 cooking its certain they dont stop burning without gaunts and that gaunts cant affect them as quite clearly the level required to not burn them would still be beyond 99 I haven't burnt any rocktail on the lumby range using the cooking gauntlets but have burnt a few without the gauntlets. So from my personal experience, it does help. You might wanna try cooking a few hundred rocktail with the gauntlets seeing that you have 99 cooking and find out for yourself.

Go to their site and fill out the application then folllow the instructions on what to do next.

They use mage based attacks so wear something with high mage def. With your stats, meleeing them would be the best option but you can try ranging them too.

How do you suppose he get a SGS when he can't even afford prayer pots? And you also suggest that he prays when he gets hit. he wants definite answers and not "If you are lucky they hit nothing but zeros for minutes. If you are unlucky they hit 16s several times in a row". He can't afford to take chances. We also don't know if his summoning level even allows him to use a bunyip. The SGS is a valid point but I think he was just explaining that tanking them is possible. Its not really taking a chance, the way he described is often more efficient in terms of cost than praying them the whole time. Skylor already tried wearing barrows armor and admitted that he gets hit pretty hard even with the following stats: "My melee stats arent too great but i do have a nice def. Attack:85 Strength: 91 Defence: 92 Hitpoints: 91 and even with those stats in barrows armor they hit me pretty hard. " So even semi tanking won't work since this would still entail using P Pots since he still gets hit hard often.. Ranging or D hally would then be the best option for skylor.
