Wanna get high...... level content?
(Bit bolded + Rest) See exactly! I am fairly well leveled and yet I have spent last few months working towards 96 summoning through slayer. (Which btw jagex it is a GOOD high level update aswell as a good low level update but its far too rare we see them.) Its FUN and is a 'GOAL' for me to achieve. I am not one of the players that have this skill level and I am glad I havnt got it yet. A level I do not yet have and its exciting to achieve something that doesnt take a few days such as most of the quest requirements or new content. (For those who dont have it that is) I dont really expect massively high level requirements but I would like to see requirements more often around 80-90 rather than 'always' 20-60 with a couple of 70-80 chucked into the mix. Jagex seem a little biased towards players who arnt likely to be putting time into their game so need to keep tempting them with low updates they can do. Which is fair enough they need to do this so the majority of updates should be aimed at this; but a large number of updates should still be put aside for higher leveled content to lure people too. Its irrevelant if everyone doesnt have time to get 80 in all their skills because 'they do not have to!' get 80 in all their skills. They do not have to complete all the quests. They can simply do whatever it is they want to do. If its content they cannot yet use then its an incentive to work towards that level. Yet they dont have to do it! There is plenty of other content they can do. Minigames that everyone can join with a slight advantage to higher levels (usually combat) isnt what I hear people want once we get skills higher. Its would also be nice if it wasnt combat related and based more on skills. (Again not minigames but rather content based on skill level to use or make etc.)

Wanna get high...... level content?
Quests are easy enough to satisfy everyone. The main storyline should have simple enough requirements to complete. There can easilly be bonus content or higher rewards for those with the skill to accomplish it. Thats just one possibility of many. Lets say: Inferno adze 1 - Little more xp - Works up to willows Inferno adze 2 - More xp - Works up to maples Inferno adze 3 - Alot more xp - Works up to magic There is so many possiblities with this. Achievement diarys was our hope. Unfortunately they only offer annoying difficulty levels. fr33 st0ff - level one I am a n00b - level two I am a low level player without much to work for as I already have the requirements for this... - level three. Its been done so many times that I cant be bothered going into detail or offering other suggestions.

Wanna get high...... level content?
If you think that is bad I suggest you dont read the latest poll results. (On official site) Pretty much just people without requirements reckoning its hard to get level 50 in any skill. Which is saddening as once they bother to make the effort it really isnt difficult. Making it easy without much left to strive for. Sure it took me 5 years for my stats but it didnt take 5 years to step out of newbie status. I reckon I had about 95% of the requirements for quest within the first year for example. Even the current quests since released excluding obvious exceptions that require other quests etc. When I began I too felt things were difficult! Infact they were! It was great actually! I had something to work for. I soon discovered that once I knew how to do things that I had already beaten the game before I had started. :| There higher level content didnt exist. This whole bloody locked content that newbies cant access is nonsense. How hard can a requirement be? Level 80 or so.. Takes a bit of dedication but thats good! Currently requirements are just like level 10 literally without exsaduation. Eeeeh... atleast have LOW requirements ==== level 60 or something more reasonable for A LOW requirement. I remember when when I was reasonably new I already had most of the requirements tbh. I didnt understand farming amongst certain things but *gasps* I learnt how to train such skills. It wasnt hard to get like level 50 in it and I enjoyed it once I put some effort into it to understand it. I remember training for 60 mining for the mining guild. Took me bloody ages. I got 99 now but that doesnt change to me how hard getting level 60 to me was at the time. I enjoyed that alot. Why isnt there higher content in most skills though. 60 was hard but I achieved it.. 85 rune ofcourse. Then nothing. Although I feel there are worse off skills than mining. I just remember how hard it was when I was new..Compared to the goals I set myself now which are alot more extreme. Just as hard but I have evolved as a player so I need bigger goals to work for. Why shouldnt I be rewarded for that along the way like I was when I reached level 60 mining? Surely I need something to aim for besides personal goals without pratical rewards. Ah whatever im sure most higher leveled people have already accepted that we arnt included in updates and never will be. I dont even bother voicing myself anymore..(lower levels stampeed in shouting how selfish high levels are bla bla.) Unfortunatly this does lose/doesnt gain members. People leave because of it. Once your achieved it you got nothing left. It isnt hard to achieve to begin with.. The reason there so few people who continue to level is theres no real point besides for personal goals. Many people dont bother with this.. They rather achieve real rewards for their effort. The only useful high level content recently that lower levels cannot join in with that I recall is the inferno adze. Oddly enough it wasnt hard to achieve but its an amazing reward due to its requirement to use. INFACT! I believe its a touch 'too' high. But I love it all the more because it is. =D>

Referring to the 85 slayer requirement. The minigame I would never otherwise play due fact they make so many pointless minigames that they dont appeal to me. I dont mind for other peoples sake but I rather play the normal game. :-# Unless its particularly good anyway. Edit: Btw its kinda sad that the first decent high update in ages is a er.. pet that does nothing. (But cool convo. Cant forget that nugget!!) Its cool - I cant be selfish now can I.

Hell yes! Abyssal head. Happy with this. My first one. Plus I havnt had a whip is like 1000+ kills but I much rather have this. I will go to Soul wars at a later date to make this into a pet. I havnt actually played it before so it can wait. About the only high level update since the inferno adze tbh. It was fun getting the adze and should be fun getting this pet.

what keeps you going?
Still fun. If not this then something else. I play other games too. Aswell as other activities. I always began as mostly a solo player anyway. Its just a game to entertain and challenge myself. I miss people who have quit but then again I miss many people from all areas of my life who I have lost contact with.

About Timmy and the Hacker
Yeah, if he responds, I'll let you all know what he had to say about it. If the dude is cool, or even gives a crap about what he reported, then maybe he will talk to Jagex one on one. That would be a stretch, but hey, its worth a try at least. After thinking about it for a while, I've finally figured out what bothered me so much. Its the fact that Timmy was doing RWT in the spotlight and no one but the RS Community knew it. I look at RWT as one of the most offensive things you can do in this game. RWT brought down a huge hammer on us all and in the end has affected us all. And I'm still not totally convinced he knew what he was doing entirely. Aged 11 is a little young. He may have been able to use a computer well, but I don't think he knew the rules to a "T" like we do. I'm hoping at the least, that the reporter will at least do a follow up story to something relevant to RWT and its impact on Runescape and/or other MMORPG's. The thing is its tough to believe he didnt know. If it was done since the rwt ingame changes? (Considering he has played for years apparently. Which suggests to me he has played atleast over a year.) Its rather difficult nowadays - Even a 11 year old should of understood there was something wrong. I guess I was smarter when I was 11 as im sure I would of realised there was something wrong. Some people seem to think if your 11 you are dum or something. I say otherwise.. I say if he felt he was mature + responsible enough to play then good for him. He must follow the rules like everyone else though. Perhaps when I was.. 5 or 6? But by the age of 11 I understood wrong, right and suspicious activity when I was doing it. Some people choose to cheat at games and not care. Fair enough if thats what they are going to do but obviously having the news report your a cheater isnt a smart thing to do. Its down right rude and idiotic for the newsgroup to deliver hate towards jagex for this younger player who really shouldnt of been playing if he wasnt mature enough yet. The guardians should of read the rules before giving permission and learn to not trust everything a young person tells them when it involves real money.. Aiding in real life illegal activity in the process. This kid would be famous if anyone bothered to remember his name. Which im not lol.

I for one would of felt half bad for the kid if he hadnt of cheated. Its the fact he likely didnt earn what he lost ingame honestly. The fact he didnt either read the rules or decided to ignore them is. I would feel worse for the guardian losing their cash if it wasnt for the fact they are a grown adult who should of educated themselve better of the rules. Its fairly obvious to most people that rwt is cheating and although its debatable if he knew or not he was still cheating. Then theres ofcourse the guardian who didnt check the rules. Its one thing for them to not check the rules.. Its another thing to not check the rules then go on TV humiliating themselves by admitting they helped their child cheat. Aiding real life criminal activity. Not mentioning the news team that decided to stick up for the cheater? Making idiots of themselves focusing the hate towards jagex. No sympathy. I played other great games before that have gone to hell due to rwt. It makes multi player gameplay impossible for the honest players or atleast severely removes the enjoyment from the game. Jagex are a company that choose to make this game fair for the honest players and considering the amount of effort gone into it lately I hope this child is banned for rwt. I hope the guardian goes through the efforts to read the rules etc. Explaining to that child what he did was wrong and deserved to lose those items he didnt earn to begin with. Next time he can put the effort into his account if he wants to play with the rust of us honest players. This is purely my opinion but I feel he knew what he was doing to begin with so my sympathy goes to the next 'honest' player who gets 'hacked' losing items they earnt. Even if he didnt know it was his responsibility to check the rules. (He wishes to play then he must play by the rules whatever his age.) Jagex do the best they can so this news team passing hate onto them is rather despicable of them.

Its -sad- to know that the child, guardian AND the news team.. are all idiots. The child shouldnt used that website. Read the rules Plus set a bankpin? The guardian should of read the rules. Shut the -*- up. The news team should of both read the rules before making prats out of themselves (Seriously its one thing for the child and a ignorant parent but surely they should of done their research!??) and found REAL news. I hope Timmy is banned.

16th February 2009 - Your RuneScape Questions Answered
I really disagree with any decision regarding separate worlds meant for leet people above noobs. Hmm being it a joke or not I dont think its appropriate to call customers noobs either. :? So... Remove the kid gameplay and allow leet players to piss on the 'newbies' lol. Which I presume he means even if it isnt correct calling them noobs. I mean.. Just ban the 'noobs' makes more sense. Making high level content that lower levels cant really use or limited would be awesome though. :) Think he should rethink this idea to being content based (Possibly including restricted areas that require requirements to access) rather than worlds.

- Frustrations of a regular miner...
Because competition makes it fun? Really I think you're way to naive, but what's the fun of hopping a world? - When I play rs I can be online for 10-15 mins AT MOST! - If I have to hop worlds I waste like half my online time, and I'm not looking for some boring clicking: I want to be better, use my mind to recognize the correct pattern of clicking, THINK about what I"m doing! Theres usually another great spot adjacent the spot your already mining yet someone who hops in just mines the spot your doing anyway. Not that it excuses peoples rudeness who mine ontop someone when there isnt any other spot. Be it playing 10 minutes or not. Like I already said though - People do what they must and I cant say I honestly care if they want to be outmined or not when choosing to mine where I am.- Human-Interface out of RS
Hehe I remember my days when I used to run a small business so to speak. The prices were simple and the terms simpler. (Written on official forum) They hop and I move to customers location - any haggling meant I teleported away - Any waiting or confusion and I gave up. THEY had to come to my spot to trade if they wanted the trade after that; Including any hopping. Otherwise I didnt care and had other customers. If they started bad mouthing me then I blocked them on the spot never to hear from them again. Besides maybe in my forum post. :rolls: Anyway the haggling bit was fun to run away from heh. I used to instant ignore people that stated outrageously low prices compared to my asking price. Merchants ftl.- Frustrations of a regular miner...
No I would never spot steal but I do fiercely 'defend' a spot if someone tries mining where I was. Simple policy.. I never move. I have in the past spent hours just mining a spot ontop of someone. Tbh I have in the past quite often 'owned' many people for hours because they dont move. :ohnoes: (*Shrugs* I dont know why they dont move... I can get anywhere from 70-90 percent of the rocks.) Although some people may get annoyed at me in the days I used to bank the granite. I forget how long it took me to bank.. But it was fast and I used to teleback within like 30 seconds or whatever. YES I used to redefend the spot if someone decided to mine there. Yes 'most' people understood that I was still mining there but some insisted that I had left and never moved. All power to them but I aint moving lol. (Problem caused if they only just joined and didnt know especially. Others simply moved in on it.) No I never mine a spot if someone else is there! (Besides if I came back from banking...Which was fast and swift.) Thats just sad tbh but people do what they must and many people are rude. I must say that the majority people are polite and the rust just give up after a while of being 'owned' at the rocks. Nowadays 99 mining (cape) plus the best familiar helps alot deterring people... Mostly. And no banking is needed so no confusion is caused. Sometimes having someone to outmine is fun to hear their moaning but I feel sorry for them too. :( :( edit: I also remember helping others out when I see someone is trying to steal their spot. I stick around for bit taking it from both till the newcomer leaves. Then I let the other dude have it back.. Fun times.. I havnt mined in a while now. If im nasty I follow their spots til they hop or leave.- Which one is Higher?
My tip it count is : About 486 My rs forums count is : 8356- Granite supply ran out?!
One leaving trip gives 280 per person so the supply is still entering. The summoners stop when they get the swamp titans. Thus they cheap. People arnt idiots who pay too much cash for something thats as easy as that to get. You dont need that' much of it until you can create something better. The supply is evidently enough as enough people bank something when they done. It was worth more before as it was hard to get but with 10 pieces a block its just too easy. Get a tortoise out and you got 460 pieces in ONE TRIP. You really dont need that many of them. - Frustrations of a regular miner...
