Post all RS Screenshots, Videos, and Sounds here!
[hide=GE ARRRGGGH!!1]This been going on a couple weeks now wasting my time. GE is SO getting on my nerves when it comes to gold ores. Every day I have had a massive order in at a price lower than the medium. When I put the offer in I get some random number between 1-100 ores.. Then it sits there forever unchanging. The next day I use another slot doing the same exact offer. I get 1-100 random ores and my first order is stagnant. The other gets those odd cheap ores despite my other offer. If I leave it... That offer also becomes stagnant. The next day I could use a third slot getting 1-100 random ores... Then that also becomes stagnant. I dont care if no one is selling for that price. I just want to know my offer is being taken seriously in the GE or not. I cant know whats happening with the price if it just goes stagnant. If the reality is that gold ore was even selling OVER the medium price then I am fine with that. Just why do I keep getting these random 1-100 buys every day I put an offer in below medium. Are people selling below market price or not??!! Why doesnt my offer get taken seriously. Even after days leaving it nothing changes but soon as I put new offer in I get 1-100 ores then nothing again. I dont see why I should buy at medium when I keep getting them below but my offer isnt taken seriously. Its ignored completely until I make a new offer the next day. In that screenshot I previously did a second offer getting something like 1-100 ores which although I did 430 I got it at the lowest price getting gp back. Then my second offer for 10 gold ores at 430 gained 10 ores without any gp back. After that they didnt buy for me.. So basically I got around 1-100 ores with gp back despites fact I got a order in AT A HIGHER PRICE than I paid in my second trade. It wasnt old or anything.. It just messed up. Every day a new offer gains gold ore at a lower price than my other offers. Soon I be forced pay medium and adjust it each day as the bloody ge (For lack better word) doesnt take my trades seriously. I KNOW other people pay higher and thus get the ores alot of the time but it isnt about that.. My offers are just ignored when the ores are available. I dont -need them instantly- I trying buy for lower price slowly. But it wont let me....[/hide]

Is there such a thing as 'dry worlds'?
To be clear when I say a survey of people its a survey of all the worlds at once and their drops. A drop is more likely to occur on a different world than your own if it has been the most recent. So hopping to any one of them will increase your odds - but this topic is about if you can class them as wet or dry which I think you can. If you mean dry worlds by worlds that have recently had a drop reducing their odds of it happening again significantly to a world that hasnt had a drop in ages - increases its chances mathematically that one is going to happen sooner. Its because that other world has had less opportunities for it to drop than the one in which it just happened.

Is there such a thing as 'dry worlds'?
That's lightning, a physical phenomenon not a mathematical concept. In probability, the previous and future drops have no effect whatsoever on the current drop. There is less chance of getting a drop after a previous drop than after 100 drops. There is more chance getting a drop after 50 attempts than 25 but less than 100. The chance increases each time. Its random but its chance of happening will increase. I pretty certain if a survey of this was done that they would discover more drops happened after 20 than 10. More after 10 than 5. I know those results from other rare drops. The results will show a favour towards it happening later than sooner - as each kill occurs as the more attempts the greater the likelihood. The fact each kill individually has the same chance is irrelevant when your doing 100 kills. You have to factor in any previous kills you or others have done for it happening on that world. Put it all together mathematically and you created higher and lower odds of a drop occurring. Creating drier and wetter worlds.

Is there such a thing as 'dry worlds'?
In a open field lightening is unlikely to hit in the same place twice. If you stand somewhere else you have more 'chance' of being hit again than standing in the same place. Its still chance but you know its less likely to happen and its chances have decreased. Everywhere else has increased.

Is there such a thing as 'dry worlds'?
Wonder if mathematically it would be a better 'chance' to hop when a drop has occurred by someone else. Your less likely to get a drop after a drop by any person compared to getting a drop after 100 attempts by any person. Logically they do exist as your less likely to get a drop after one has occurred compared to hopping to a world that has had more attempts. I wouldnt think it counts with yourself though as your count remains the same if you hop or not. You have to know the drops on each world though to make it worth while. Otherwise your hopping onto a world that just had a drop. So while they exist its difficult to know which worlds are more 'wet' than others.

A Nostalgic Look at Holidays Past
Enjoyed it more when it didnt have a silly quest. Prefer just gave a gift/allowed you interact with others in a festive way. Or both of them even. Today was a complete soloable festive miniquest which seems pointless. Should allow something new and fun people interact with their friends. But not forced.. no reward for doing that.. the reward should be given straight away and a choice to have some fun with friends. ..And when you got a great opportunity like making a wacking carrot.. Its a good idea to make it look cool, sound cool, hit people over the head cool. Not a moldy carrot, sounds weird, cheap animation. Seriously it isnt THAT hard to improve the quality of that carrot. I dont care but seriously.. c'mon. They waste updates by cheap work that could very easilly be better quality. The carrot doesnt feel right.. The chicken before is awesome! That carrot is a bit bizarre. In all honesty this miniquest was extremely repetitive and the kind of miniquest I do not enjoy in any form whatsoever. It looked alot like older easter events which made it a bit of a ground hog day which is a shame. The damn bunny hasnt done his job all the way to retirement. Im the easter bunny. I dont count on his son doing any better next year. Father like son imo. New fresh ideas would be nice. The nearest jagex gone to making a fun interact miniquest was that event that had snowball fights in it. Besides that - Give the gift and no miniquest was better than what they give nowadays. I know from experience and my personaly taste that people enjoyed that snowball fight one than these miniquest ones that just involves people running around confused. Even I spent 2 minutes finding that squirrel...! Maybe there was a clue but the crowds made it hard to find him. That wasnt fun...

Some 'blogger' parent thinks RS makes kids fat
Silly woman got her priorities all wrong. If your child eats 28 sharks (Or anything for that matter that is immensely too big to stomach all at once.) I would fear their stomach exploding ever before I worried about obesity. LOGIC FAIL! (Not suggesting that because she a woman btw or because she is obviously not very computer savvy besides using facebook and making blogs.) I agree that its obviously a troll. Probably a 15 year old guy.

6th April 2009 - Windows downloadable client
Eh I cant see the difference in all honesty. Reinstating a rant forum that already existed. Reinventing the runescape client that to all purposes is the same as before. "Better compatibility with low-end machines" Uha.. "Features a smart new icon" Whats this 'icon' they talking about? The sword? lol... It belongs in the patch notes. Its like having an announcement "We have changed the way ogres look in dialogue when talking" "We have just adjusted our seats for better compatibility with our [wagon]" (Sorry if wrong about icon but its my best guess... I downloaded it and cant figure it out what they meant unless it was that sword icon lol!!! I have to admit.. These updates make me laugh alot more than they used to.)

Why female players are underepresented in RuneScape?
your 86 hunting and you still think skillers are more polite when it comes to spot sharing  Hunter and mining (Maybe others but dont want to think) under certain circumstances are also like combat but fortunately alot other skills to choose from. BUT. To be fair. Hunter has limited hunter spots so people are forced into such conditions alot more than any other skill/combat. People are not going to choose slower training spots when they train it. Combat on the other hand is alot more varied. Slayer for example I got kaphites blocked amongst other things - such as hellhounds thats crowded. Any tasks that are crowded are avoidable or you can simply train on whatever monster you like that isnt crowded. Btw Hunter is my second most hated skill =p I hated every moment of it but got that level for other achievement reasons. So to be fair on myself I dont enjoy hunter either lol.

Why female players are underepresented in RuneScape?
(Im a guy) Most 'girls' I known including my ex partner solely did/do combat anyway. That doesnt mean all female players do combat or whatever. Combat suites the average player. Then theres people like me who preferred skilling. Not a 'girly' thing at all.. I have admit when I first started I hated combat due to kids/teenagers taking spots I was training at and generally being nerds - Thinking they all that - as they cant be harmed over the internet. So I preferred skilling as people much more polite.

3rd April 2009 - Forums for High level F2P'ers!
I think they should have adverts on the forums for f2pers. Then I be happy with it. They could even have embedded adverts for the forums. They should be given incentive to become members. Some people just prefer posting on the forums more than the actual gameplay so incentive is still needed to not just freeload - To become members. edit: This is also a good idea if they ever decided to upgrade the forums and give members more benefits over f2pers. If they ever updated them to include this benefit.

2nd April 2009 - Development Diary: Dungeon Maps
Much better development diary. Short but sweet. Not just short and terrible. There was some actual interest to read and nice to know of its progress.. I liked it and hope for more of this kind than the last one we had. (Doubt it be regular for any more than 2 months though. Sweet if they keep their word this time.)
