Why can't they simply do it like done in irc: you can join any channel and be given any rank in any amount of channels: as long as the admin allows it.. Would also prevent random strangers from joining dgs.. Last time I was in a dg with 2 people who didn't even know "tip.it".

Yes, what was wrong with that? Fallador park + (fansite) forums to trade worked very well! As a player dating back to 2002, my opinion is that the GE works MUCH better. Maybe a little bit of regulation isn't a bad thing, but when i can cut 500 diamonds in 10 minutes, and then have to wait another 230 minutes before I can buy more. It becomes a pain in the ass. These limits are set to combat price manipulation, not hinder the use of the GE for normal players. In terms of you're items falling in price, that's economics bro. Get use to it, as you'll find it happens to ALMOST everything you buy in real life. In real life if I'm on holiday for half a month prices don't drop by 50%.. Maybe they do at the dow jones, however there's a lot betweenme & the people there. Goverments protect people from hyper inflation/deflation, markets are closed if there's a panic thanks to a certain unforeseen event. Companies can't just change consumer prices: once they advertise with a price they have to keep it at that price. I have no problem with changing prices: I do have a problem when the prices change so fast & quickly as in runescape!

Yeah, no way that wasn't gonna happen. I wonder if some of the larger clans' names got scooped by trolls.... Clan leaders who were active on the rsof clan leaders forums had the option to pre register their clan names to avoid this. So either your friend failed to preregister (the reg page was 30pages long) or his clan is just noob and you got scooped. Without the preregister I'm preference one of my stalker copycat clans would of attempted to jack our name. Or maybe they don't use the rsof as the rsof are just a terribly waste of forum software and intellect. I really, really hate how jagex is trying to pull everything under them, enforcing their rules upon otherwise free spaces.. First the fansites were pulled by promising cookies (yet taking away independence) now clans.. What's next?

I'm studying aerospace engineering.. Here efficiency is always the questions to ask.. However efficiency is nothing without looking at the circumstances: soemthing is only efficient under certain circumstances. If you don't grasp this I will have to keep calling you a "clown" since further discussion is not really possible.. It's like those who are answering (when I ask for the average drop rate of item X): "it's random"; Or trying to discuss fundamental physics (bing bang) with theists..

This causes an argument to pop up, argument is discussed (and conclusion made) > next arguments pops up > Then a new person comes, not wanting to read the backlog of 10 pages he brings up the first argument again > people go into discussions again > this continues to infinity. This is one of the worst things that happen in public discussion boards and in more professional boards it is at least greatly frowned upon, and tried to be prevented.

Ow but it IS how you say it, I won't go into personal details, but there are so many ways to say things and most aren't good in a help and advice forum. Being arrogant & showing elitism is one of them. You still don't get it do you? :) IF the fun means you can actually keep your attention to kq, and hence kill it (while with veracs you get so bored that you die from falling asleep) using flowers is more efficient FOR YOU! I have some small RSI: I hence can't do many clicks (+ moving the mouse, the combination is what cause pain) a second.. Hence I can't do tormented demons in an efficient matter, and something like green dragons are more efficient money-making methods. A clown would be unable to grasp this, unable to tailor advice on the person and see that efficiency (apart from fun) isn't only determined by the ideal figure & lines, no ones is perfect and soemthings it is easier to approach the "perfect" line than with others. Isn't this, you know "general Discussion"? - What is a discussion worth when you just "agree to disagree", discussion spawn from the very fact there are disagreements, and you DON'T agree with each other. This is a prerequiste for discussion, and hence innovation. Discussion isn't something "bad", I can go into very heated (and interesting) discussions without any trolling flaming or personal attacks - it just requires maturity.

The problem is not WHAT you say, the problem is HOW you say it. Trolling means having a disrespect to the person asking the question, and being an efficiency clown means having disrespect to looking into the personality of the question asker. As I said many times, somebody CAN be more efficient when ectoing bones than when altaring: if they like to use the ecto more.. And hence they can keep attention better & achieve much better xp rates. "clowns" tend to only look at the signs and conclude this is impossible.

Why not, it works with IRC why shouldn't it work in runescape.. Never been able to use any kind of item on your friend list, that's why. Until then, we're stuck with this. Meh. Well then let them invite people by "typing" the name.. just like reporting works - I can do that type the name of my friends.

There are 3 different chats: Friends Chat - Exactly the same as before, you type in a name and join that persons chat, no restrictions on this. Clan Chat - You join a clan and you're in this clan chat, forever. YOu can't leave this chat no matter what (unless you leave this clan). Guest Clan Chat - You type in another Clan's name and can join their clan chat if they allow it. So if your friends are all in clans you can still talk to them in Friends Chat. Or if you're in one Clan and your friends are in another Clan you can join their chat and talk to them there. Though this requires quite a bit of efford: X joins main 1, but also wants to join 2: so 2 is "friend".. Y wants to join 2 & 3, so "3" goes main Z wants to join 1 & 3 - now what? I'm aware this example can be avoided by guests: but what when you like to join 3 chats? than this problem will occur... And if you "leave" your clan chat, you'll have to be reinvited manually by a leader!

To add to the blazer vs blitzer debate: I've seen blazer "speccing" when the normal hit splashed: so it seems that blazer can spec independedly from magic accuracy (where blitzer is affected by accuracy)

So you want the ability to form a clan just by using the scroll on a name in your friend's list or something like, is that it? I don't think it's feasible. Why not, it works with IRC why shouldn't it work in runescape.. Or simplier: why the hell decides jagex to constantly build custom crap software? Instead of using a well established open source flavour and change it to their flavour! - There are many IRC clients for java, and creating a personal IRC server/network is something even I can do.. This isn't only faster, more customizable, better and cleaner.. But also won't face any downtime (since a network never goes down with a server crash).

Maybe you are not, however the fact you can't discuss these things within those rules gives the IMAGE that jagex just caters towards kiddie-clans.

What's a clan without reality meetings (bbq's, team building programs etc)? - Without this runescape clans will always be considered "kiddie clans" by the outside world.

To add to this: at some point there was bound to be "turn" in prices: When the extreme potions were released there was an enormous amount of "backlog" of people who had high combat skills and cash, however never bothered to train the unprofitable skill "herblore". Suddenly that was a very worthwihile investment, and all those people would train. This caused a massive increase in price, however as not everyone could do it at once (and there was a huge amount of players who want it - every day coming more and more) it won't act as a spike, but instead after some period of rising fastly it will slowly fall back as it "catches up" to the player base.

you need to have concluded roving elves, and I believe are halfway mourning's end part 1. So finish regicide, and then do roving elves (short quest).

Can you get a ban? - I know your alter ego did, and it's time the mods stop the trolling here. If someone doesn't share your opinion on fun doesn't make you have to abuse him.
