Can you say mood-killer? I wouldn't mind a little black comedy in the dialogue or something but stupid, lighthearted pop culture references have no place in the Myreque quests. And theres the issue of using trademarked copyrighted logos in a comercial project when they dont own them logos Not likely: logo usage (at least in EU) falls most often under fair use. And is allowed to be used as long as it doesn't promote something or is used to "lift on others succes". Easter eggs certainly are faire use as they are not the main thing.

Meh I guess that's just me then :P I love inter-game references. (Like the running reference "cow level" from blizzard which pops up in each game since diablo). Or the fact you find zergs at wc3 maps, and if you cut all forest in some maps you see an icon drawn on the ground.. I love to find those "easter eggs", especially in minigames like runescape. And the slums could've been full with these things (like the labda/cake somewhere drawn on a wall)

@above: yes but did you notice that when you were just doing the quest? (I did it the very first hours it came out). I remember going like 2-3 times through the maze, it was not fun (well as I said the first time it's a new experience and it is fun, afterwhich it becomes jsut a waste of time and an annoyance).

Well I would just focus on getting those quests done first. Get an idea for something (like "getting into port phasmatys" - most eastern city of the rs mainland). And then work the quests out for it. Or look into those "member things" you saw as f2p, and try to unlock those. I first did a few of the gnome quests (everything apart the last 2 I did asap). And made sure I unlocked all teleport/transportation options. Transportation in members is very important, walking could take you a day - yes I realize those things can also be done by jewelry/tablets, however it also shows you about the basic landscape and you'll get used to where is what. gliders/elder trees/Yanille/ardougne are relativelly easy unlocked After that you might work for the fairy rings (that quest requires a month or something like that of time). As a very starter quest: priest in peril should be done the day you start rs. (It unlocks about a third of the members world).

If you can do, do nomad's requim.. The reward cap is -especiallly when praying piety- certainly worth the efford, and if you have that I think a firecap provides a neglectable extra.

You're not the only one. I have much the same complaints. I can't find anything immersive or engaging about the Quests centered around Myreque. I absolutely agree. I don't like them at all, and I tend to think of myself as something of a quester with 230~ish questpoints. nublet! :P (Having finished all quests before questcape came out, and now only getting members when there are 3+ quests and finishing them asap I feel obligated to say this). I'm a bit dubious about this questline: I can't really remember the first few anymore, though they were also a mass of walking through the swamp. But the last quest did touch a certain atmosphere. The whole setting was "correct" (from the slums with pointers to the underground maze with its mutated monsters & sudden blood altar). However it was quite annoying you were forced to go many times through the slums (unless you used a guide and knew what items to take).. The slums were a nice thing, for 1 time. Now the arrow searching & house hopping is just an annoyance and I'm NOT looking forward to that. Also they could've added a bit more "humor"/"popular reference". IE in the slums they could've "accidentally" added symbols from half life/portal. (As also there all pointers are written on the walls).

Jagex don't have to stick to 32 bit in the client, they could use longs without any changes needed. Well runescape uses quite some interesting techniques (from a programmers point of view) to sent a lot of "data" without straining your internet connection. These techniques may cause troubles with 32/64 bit boundaries.. Though it won't be more than a regular runetek update. HOWEVER, there is also a database behind your data: where the stats are centrally stored. This would also have to be updated, this isn't a difficult task, but given the amount of accounts can be quite time consuming. I wouldn't be surprised if this could take in excess of several hours, in which all time no one could log in (or out). Remember that there are many, many inactive accounts which also have to be updated/copied. Is it morally right to stop a service for several hours for a few people who reached the max?

Well as my goal is to get high prayer, the ashes I put in urns aren't wasted. (I count 20 gp/xp for prayer, so each kill would give me 1200 gps.

Hi there, Can anoyone recommend me a spot to beat black demons? I'm currently tight on money. While I have all basic resources in enough quantaties I aim for 96 herblore/95 pray, both 75ish now. And I have spare 10M cash. As even frost dragons isn't 2m+ an hour raising money is hard so I'd like to work on the other end: stop spending money. Is there a method to do black demons in a profitable manner? - I tried cannoning in brimhaven, but gave up after hopping for 30 minutes looking for an empty world.

Hi there, How can I get a clan ring without joing a clan? Well I wish to join, but with my eradicate playstyle (2 months playing, 2 months not), I keep getting kicked from clans. Is there an official tip.it clan for people (like me) who simply wish to get that ring?

Can anyone actually tell me an advantage of those strict "recruits". In the past I used to be a high valued member of some decently sized clans, though I always left from disagreeing with other leaders. I honestly never saw an application "post" or "event" or anything as something that should be taken strictly. I never saw it as adding an extra value, I saw countless applications, and people tended to always act in some annoyingly "kind" manner there. I hated it and if it were up to me I kicked any member who acted such. But each time in each clan those were actually the only ones who fitted in the application process. The people who were acting naturally and were often more capable (as they showed themself without a mask) were the victims of a strict application policy. Strict application policies in my opinion leads only mistrust (people don't act naturel) and prejudiced selections. Much better it is to make a simple clear justified application, and work on recommendation. Don't add those things that drag along and put stress on everyone. And above all: don't make your application system the only method of getting in.

How much was that in total? Without opening any bird nest: around a few gp more than 50m. still have to open + crush 1k nests though. I'm a little bit pissed I only gained 1k nests though should've gotten more but apparently there's a hidden cap!

"we kick people for inactivity" - tip.it doesn't do that, so it's not in line with tip.it's policy "You'll have to show video, proof of quality" - wasn't this about LEARNING/TEACHING? - This kind of defeats the purpose "we'll move away from tip.it forums as they don't give us too good people anymore" - this is blatantly against what you wrote here, nobody starts good. On top of that the activity at the xpwaste forums is terrible and not up to the standards of tip.it I believe. All in all, this is a good CLAN - as a clan it's a perfect one for anyone to go into (if you are interested into dungeoneering that is). But it's no longer an open community fitted on tip.it.

Such a great clan, someone has to leave for a few months to study.. And when he comes back he gets welcomed by "please leave or you get kicked". Maybe I'm just expecting too much :)

When do they realise that it is NOT cheating if you do these kind of things? The data is still already available, but instead of visualizing it through numbers in memory you use your graphic card to visualize it.. If they don't want people to see far, they should simply not send the data to the computers!
