I doubt they have lists from people.. I think it's all down to lucky there.. What I think 9and believe is best is that it works like this: -For each minute your offer in the GE you gain 1 "point" Now if the stuff should be bought/sold it chooses a random person, weighted for their points. example: A has his offer 1 hour: 61 points (1 point for starting so you could get an immediate sell) B has his offer for 30 min: 31 points C has his offer for 10 min: 11 points Now there is some stuff: The Ge looks at all offers and sees theres "61+31+11 = 103 points". Now it chooses a random number between 0 - 103. If the number is below 61 A gets the item, if it is between 61 & 92 B gets it, and between 92 & 103 C gets the item.. Of course once a person bought a part of his offer his points should reduce (ie if a person bought half his offer, the points get halved) This way somebody who has been waiting twice as long has an (almost) double chance to receive an item. Yet it prevents buying out for 1 person. It also allows sniping (since if you update fast you have in the beginning a much larger chance to receive an item).

The very slowest and very fastest spell could still stack I from what I heard.. Though the "triple stacks" are impossible. Also they said it could only stack if also the first attack was launched at exactly the right point in time (thus depending a lot on luck)

Blizzard to require real names for forums

They should just put people who do these kind of things into a quick-law practice. It is illegal to post about others privacy matters without the other giving explicit allowance! It is time to put an end to these practices, and it shouldn't be too hard. (For example 4chan knows the IP, of the offender, they also know the ISP & datetime, now that ISP can link the combination of datetime + IP to a specific household.) With quick-law these matters should be taken care of in 2 weeks. (And for offending someone's privacy one could claim up to $100 000 depending on the damage done and removability). Webmasters who don't work together with searching to those offenders should be put on a blacklist, so they're inaccessible. It is time the goverment stops sidelining when it comes to the internet and actively participates, since the internet IS a public domain! As for someone taking omething like a pk to serious: Well they should be taken into a hospital, it's sick if you get so angry over a game! Also they could just do like is done for hooligans in soccer: a lifetime prohibition to watch any match. - So a simple lifetime prohibition to play any MMORPG! -
Blizzard to require real names for forums

A sports team is a PUBLIC figure. A virtual game is a PRIVATE pass time. That is one reason. Another is future schooling/employment. Now a days, many different people conduct searches to find out information about prospective students or employees. Finding out one is a gamer could hurt your chances, depending on where you work. The same is true for posting pictures on Face book, EG post pictures of you being drunk wouldn't exactly impress a future employer. Not to mention, within 10 minutes I found the facebook page, phone number, address, and email address of Timmy's Grandmother, for those of you who remember "TImmy gets hacked" on the news. It could ruin someones day, or even life. Internet pranksters are many, and not all are harmless. Uhm what makes a game played with thousands of others private, yet a game played with a few close friends something public? Then don't post those pictures? And well if gaming would lessen your chances you can always claim that you keep private life and job strictly seperated, and so should the employee... But all those "pranksters" also exist in real life, you should just use common sense on what to post and what not. yet if someone asks your name and you say another name, you are committing identity fraud! -

Nope, why is it a disaster? Why do you have to hide your online identity from your real life identity? It's like joining a new sports team and then saying: "hey I'm coming to join your club, however you can never know my real adress & telephone number". -
well figured out doing it myself was easier than following those steps (often messed up where I was in the sequence, since it had often repetitions).

Hi, I decided to range mithril dragons (as I miss the dragonfire shield, super antifire potions). Now I'm wondering, what familair to take, I guess a bob is best (war tortoise or the terrorbird).. Also is it best to take the mithril bars with me?

Hello, I just figured the slaye helmet is enchanted preventing it from upgrading. I'm wondering: what could this be, and how do I remove it?

Hello, I'm working on the lever puzzle for elemental workshop 3.. However I can't seem to fix it.. I do understand how it works, however in some way the "top layer" (TALL and MED size tiles) won't move from that position... Even if I follow the tip it guide (first "2" then "A" to quickly remove the TALL tile) it will only move upto that tile (not including the top tile.. Also a strange thing happens, in my screen the top level is slightly raised.... Am I missing a part?

On a side (and kindly egoistical): I seem to have played some days as F2P.. And I destroyed my promethium platebody & maul. Can somebody someday spare some games to help me find this? (Or do you have any tricks for this, currently running around with a gorgonite longsword, which is the best I can make)

Hi everyone, I've been away from runescape for another 3 months :) (I keep playing on and off for 3 months lol). However when I left there was a lot of talk about a "dungeoneering batch 2" - Is there still talk about this (and more information regarding a possible batch?)
-
Well I think this is a good idea.. What I start to "dislike" about runescape is that I just can't really play much. Meaning I am lagging more and more behind on the "average" runescape player... And thus "have to" stick to boring parts.. (I was an avid GWD hunter... but about half a year after it came out I stopped playing for more than 1 hour a week - now I just can't ever catch up again: prices of materials grow faster than I can make money yet everyone expects me to have these). Resetting runescape would put me for the time being on "almost" equal grounds, and give me time to "catch up" again. For me it would thus give a lot of motivation to play (and pay) runescape!

13-May-2010 Fairy Tale Part 3 & DirectX Support and Graphics Options
pulli23 replied to Toad's topic in General Discussion
lol.... DirectX isn't the holy-grail of everything you know. Opengl for example has much more support for polygons & models (and is hence faster when trying to render large terrains).. Directx on the other hand has support for voxel graphics, and better dynamic lightning.. -
What the hell??? You feel obligated to train a skill to 99 or something? Something is definitely wrong there.......
-
uhm... XP is just meaningless (why anyone would go for 200m xp is something I never understand).

looked up in the highscores: and no name like that person found... Don't tell me the biggest part of the names are for people not in the highscores at all?
-
Well I wanted to change my display name the otherday... However I couldn't change it to my desired name (or actually one of them). What are the rules on changing? I've tried like 20-30 names and I seem to be unable to get any normal name? (without weird signs or letters)

Should Jagex start beta testing with players?
pulli23 replied to langer's topic in General Discussion
You apparently have no idea what real beta testing is.. Been beta testing `game maker“ very much (game maker is a "game development IDE + programming language"). And during the beta test (All test together took half a year) over 1000 bugs were found and fixed.. And only about 50-100 people were actively reporting issues.. However I do share jagex concerns with "impractically in runescape". Only thing they could do is: you can sign up for a beta, and during that beta your can't use the "old version" anymore (and your gains would be wiped at the end of the beta). -
Lol that's again for those who can be online very often: I can only be online during weekends.. So I can't depend on things like "seeing a lot"... (I just want to log in during the weekend, look a bit for a party, and then start a fun raid).

Still wondering how to make a team with my 122 lvl combat.... Forums:always require combat lv 130+ w2: well no teams there (only people who just go in 1 dungeon together, but there stops the team play) IRC: pretty much died out (where are people playing rs nowadays, what network?) fansites: Are there dedicated to dungeoneering? Really is grinding armoured zombies a requirement to train this skill? (then what is the point of so many combat rewards)

I believe (will test once I have time), base (& prestige) experience is a simple function which scales linearly with the total amount of rooms opened. Something like: xp = lvl ^ A + B * rooms A, B being constants (xp seems to grow as a power function from the level). If one kept the level constant (which happens for prestige xp once you reach 69 -in normal case-. the function would be: xp = CONST + B * rooms Something which we ought to be able to test (and get "B"). I could do verify this, though I would like your data too (if anyone wants to help post here?): prestige lvl (only post if its 35): base prestige xp gained: number of rooms opened: If some people could post this I could make the formula?
