  1. You can't eat against a 1 hit ko. The 1 hit KO hits (Super high hits, ex. the giant eyeball's 600 hit on meleers) can all be avoided if you simply pay attention. All the bosses are similar to the Nomad fight, as long as you pay attention they won't max over a 400 on you. The max any of these bosses has hit on me when I've done everything right was a 330, and highest i seen people get hit is like a 350. Well problem for example with the "firerain" is: if I eat/ drink antidote, and at the same time the rain starts I can't move for the first 3 drops: 91 + 131 + 436, making a guaranteed 650 hit. Also, I have seen moments, when soloing rammeraut (and getting unlucky with a 240-something boss), where rammeraut simply stuns me.. And again.. and again.. Me being unable to do anythhing apart from eating for 5-6 hits. (sure with max food I could eat up to that, but still...) Ah well for me the boss fun stopped actually after the GWD, newer bosses I simply can't do/dislike thanks to their hits and me lagging. Cure Self/Venge + Eat and you can still move. The antidote in dungeon isn't worth it to be use in combat as it does not give immunity. Firerain - Signal is obvious the guy literally yells it out, if you can't dodge that I can't help you Rammeraut - Venging at the right time here can literally win the battle for you. I've been on teams where we venge each other during the charge/stun attacks while purposely getting hit and bringing its health down by around 1/10. If you are low on food, you can also dodge all of it's stun attacks (Charge/Spin) The key is just to pay attention to the patterns. They're all pretty easy in the end if you pay attention and know what to do. @Morionic Gatestone Teleport is the best thing to have ever happend to rs since the release of the whip :) Shame you can't use it outside of dungeon. Well I can.. If playing on a dutch world, but those have emptied out.. On american worlds my ping is +1 sec, so I have to wait a second (or 1.6 if unlucky with the rs-based turns) before I can react/do anything that happens to me... With the "lower tier" bosses (yes even when they came out) this wasn't a problem, since it was about lowering the average damage / second.. Not evading damage by prayer flashing and all those kind of things.... Also vengeance is 94/96.. I'm in the low 90ish (mage being terrible low at 83), so bosses should be doable at my level? Also doesn't cure doesn't give protection either? - If so, I typically need 2-3 potions only, cure requires more inventory space.. But of course you could dodge, that's not the problem: it's that with rammeraut 1 mistake can be fatal: that's not correct since if you have lag it means you can't do anything about a death anymore! - Will try gatestones around the boss. (I normally drop 1 outside, together with a food package/prayer potion on tough bosses - so I can restock mid-boss)

  3. lol never had those, what level dungeon you do (and what level are your team mates, seem it determines drops based on your teams average total lvl)
  4. Well I got 1hitted, by the riftspitter's special "explosive" attack.. (while using a gatestone to tele back after death, forgot the explosive things were still there, and it 1 hitted my 910 hp) Also from the "rammeraut, I've seen a lv 583 boss.. - He had a max (melee, and he can disable prayer) hit from 800+.. That's just insane! So these bosses really seem to be sometimes "need luck to survive".
  5. Hello, I need only 60k def xp for 90, and just got prometheus platebody drop... So I really would like to power train this quickly. - What is currently the best option? - Simply normal armour + pray at armoured zombies? - How much xp is that?
  6. wooot got a flameburst defender drop :P But the stats in the KB aren't correct: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/dungeoneering_slayer_tables (says +50 str).. while ingame it is +5 str. Guess the daggers are typos too?
  7. Well nobody at lvls I'm on.. But I checked all members dutch worlds, and there were only like 5-10 people.. (all below lvl 50)
  8. it doesn't move: you jsut fail to move (it says so in the game-messages if you don't filter them). BTW: is there a specific world already? it seems to empty out a bit
  9. Hey does there exist an (un)official dungeoneering world already? - reason being I checked 4-5 worlds yet found no one at start.
  10. Hey reading the notes (misc 5, or 6) it says: "as we progress deeper it seems the dungeon mends around the needs of our master, and not only those floors, but also the icy floors near the surface seem to have more resources". - Does this mean that the higher your dung lvl, the more resourceful the dungeon becomes?
  11. Then FTP would be a definate demo. Why? Already the "tie higher" armour is first f2p (bronze - iron - mith - addy - rune), and ends with P2P (dragon).. What makes this a demo? - It's not like capes are ment to be the "end" or something: they are just to show you achieved a high level.. Why should there be capes for 120ish stats? - Just updating the skill tables with new higher-level stuff would be fine.. Just like runescape was!
  12. Lol these kind of vulnerabilities come like... weekly. You really don't have to get dramatic over it, it more or less normal to have nowadays.
  13. Still, were you soloing? If you werent, how can you be sure the 30 was your hit? I wasn't sure.. But we all wielded whips, as it was the most versatile weapon right then (remember it was the first or second day the beast came out, so we went with 8 people and didn't get him killed)
  14. Rofl, have you ever pked my friend? Maul with no special will be crap. Fast medium hits that outhit your opponents food > High slow hits that your enemy can eat away from. Ever seen a whip where it combo's 5 40+ hits in a row? gl eating that out. regular pking != friendly dms where people dont run when they run out of food and for those who bashed the guy saying corp halves non spears: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZcoi9wiSRc I don't think the max you can hit is 22 if there is no reduction, when you can punch 30s in that gear 1:17, one of them hits a 29. They even mention it in chat. If it truly halves damage, that means you hit 58s with Leaf-bladed sword... I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't think I've hit a 58 on Corp even with a Zamorakian Spear. EDIT: Going through the video again, his gear seems as follows: Helm of Neitiznot (+3) Dragon Boots (+4) Berserker Ring (+4 or +8) Amulet of Fury (+8) Fire Cape (+4) Gloves (+12) Dragonfire Shield (+7) Leaf-Bladed Sword (+50) This yields either +96 or +92 strength bonus. Aggressive, Extreme Strength, and Piety yields a max hit of 419 / 408, which would be a 41 or 40. Factoring in Turmoil, the real max hit is probably 42 to 45. Obviously, it wasn't halved, because this is nowhere close to 58. EDIT: my bad, it was a swh, same difference, swh can easilly hit 58s corp halves non spears, end of Uhm I went corping the day it came out: and hitted well over 30 with my whip!
  15. I really wonder: is there any advantage over being 80 dungeoneering vs 70? - or 98 vs 70? Really this skill is useless to level at high levels?
  16. still the part $ 2^level/7 $ Should be correct (as we clearly know the amount of experience doubles every 7 levels)
  17. What you ought to do is make yourself some gatestones.. Then you'll be able to teleport straight back to the place you died.. - And actually you can do this faster than the behemot can react!
  18. now can anyone answer this question for me: HOW DO I TRAIN this skill if I can only access the internet 15-30 mins at a time?
  19. good to hear 48-40 dungeoneering was a scary sight indeed, more than halved my dungeon xp I'll take this chance to ask, what's the secret to levelling that fast? Do you reset your prestige or what? Details if you can :) I really don't see what's so hard with the prestige: only reset it once all the levels you can access have been completed. That means they have a tick next to them. Then, once you do reset (if no new levels have been unlocked by you cashing in your tokens for exp, if that's what you desire), you start from level 1 again. Do level 1 first, because each level you complete gradually raises your prestige, thus you gain more exp faster. Levelling fast as far as i know: soloing complexity 6 is fastest. Open the bonus rooms, go in and out directly unless you need food. Don't kill unless you need food: you shouldn't be doing any skilling in any of the dungeons if you have a weapon and arrows bound. If possible, bind a promethean spear (for crush / slash / stab attacks). Once you start a level, be sure to buy a hammer, a pickaxe, an axe and tinderbox. these are easy to drop later on, but usually at least 2 of them are required for the completion of a level. use your prayer wisely, remember each level always has the same boss (as far as i know) and some bosses will disable your prayers anyway. Use the map liberally (while running) to see where you have rooms you haven't been in yet, to move efficiently around. anyone have better / other advice? use gateways: Make from the first few coins/essence you find on the table like 10 gateway teleports: very usefull to bank quickly (and basically do anything)
  20. This seems correct However knowledge base clearly says small and medium 1 - 2 players, Large 3 - 5. Plus when you complete a solo level you can clear see on the size indicator large has a barred symbol through it, but medium does not (again suggest u can do medium with 1 person) Plus there are a few comments and posts floating about where people have said "soloing a medium map is fun" etc, I think I even saw a screenie of a solo reward screen with medium highlighted. hmm might be possible if you do a med map with 2, and then the other people quitted. Btw: I could NOT open a large-room in a team of 3 people!
  21. 8 blue charms in a dungeon? I assume you are talking about lower level dungeons, because down to level 6 I get 0-4 blues, mostly 1-2. Also, Id rather buy some supplies and get 4k summon exp easily *for free* (meaning, no rs gold spent!)... Nah I figured the drops from monsters get better and better while you level.. - Got in floor 12 the day before yesterday: and 15 blue charms + 1 drop with 102K coins (forgotten warrior from lv 164) + a crapload of agonite ore spots.
  22. The prestige system is just how many individual floors you've gone through without repeating one. So if you're able to go through the first 15 floors at will and start on the first then when you finish the 15th your prestige level would be 15. If at that point you can't reach the 16th floor yet, then you can press reset and it will save your prestige level so if you started back from the beginning your prestige level would be 15 as long as you didn't do the same floor more than once. (to simplify it's how many floors you've done in a row without repeating any, and if you repeat one then it reverts to 0, so if you have no choice but to repeat because your level is too low then it's best to reset and start back from the first floor. Doing the highest floor you can reach over and over will slow down your experience significantly. I think that may be why so many people think the xp is so slow) So currently my previous prestige is 5 and my current prestige is 2. The max floor I can play is 7. Last night I logged off which means I need to start over. Should I reset my prestige and start from floor 1 or should I start from floor 3? I would continue from the 3rd floor. you don't have to restart from the beginning if you log out, just make sure you don't go to a floor you've already finished since the last time you reset. Well what about this case: I am in room 13, my friend is in room 10.. We want to play together and maximize experience: what should we do? - Room 10 (means I get no prestige, and even when reaching room 14 I get little to no prestige, sine I "lost" my level???).. Or do I have to start over again? - That's really annoying you know.. Also, how in hell am I supposed to train this? - I have a holiday this week, but then untill the summer stop I won't be able to play for longer than 15-30 mins.. How do I train?
  23. Another weird point comes up: You can make summons, potions, and armour.. But honestly? - This requires huge amounts of time, and without a bank it is unfeasable to make them.. (1 inventory is way to little.. Reminds me a bit of the RSC days).
  24. May I suggest keeping the item-database for this minigame seperate from the normal item database? (since the underground RS can't be used upstairs)
