  1. WOw: I didn't know the attitude of pmods has sunk so low that it's now "normal" to report things out of their scope! I'm really happy I disagreed with being a pmod a looooong time ago. (I don't agree with their 3rd party software rule, as well as with this attitude). You know: law-enforcers have their own "scope": and they should be strict within their scope, and relax outside it! Look if I don't make my homework I'm going against the "laws" of the university: however I can easily say this to a policeman: he wouldn't do anything about it. It's not of his business. Though the profs wouldn't be too happy. Similar if I drive too fast when trying to reach university in time, I can gladly say that to my profs: they won't do anything with it (maybe say "hopefully you're not caught"), yet saying it to a cop isn't the most clever thing to do. Both rule-enforcers have their scope: and they will give punishment if you commit a crime within their scope. But if it's outside their scope they couldn't care less: and that's just the way it should be. Since this creates an atmosphere of trust: you know who does what and who you can trust with what information! Once the cops start reporting my not-done-homework towards the profs life would get much harder: you would've constantly keep everything you do secret and you can't trust anyone with sensitive information: you'll never know if they turn it in! Now back to runescape: JAGEX (and hence the pmod, which are just a stretched part from jagex) should stay within ther scope: THE GAME. Anything bad inside/directly related to the game they should punish/resolve. However things which haven't anything to do with the game they shouldn't care about! On top of that, those laws are by far not universal: in the netherlands the one whose internet is "stolen" has to PROVE he lost money/time/sensitive information, or anything hbad happened. AND he has to prove he made efforts to keep his internet secure! Even ethical questions aren't as universal as many people think: those can differ 100% from time to time and place to place. Just look at the so called "universal" rights of men: many countries didn't sign them, and their citizens find it completely normal. So please, don't start here with laws, or ethical issues: runescape is a worldwide game - so there is no general thing here!
  2. Problem with guides is that those already contain too many hints you accidentally see for futher parts: spoiling most of the fun!
  3. so I failed already a few times (like 5-10) at "searching" (I really hate it when there's no clue or anything like that).. So what rune would I need to use?
  4. Well I'm wondering how to continue from this part: I used the broav to track towards the khazard building: and then went downstairs (and another time downstairs to some strange door).. There a friend told me to look at what type of "backfiring" it did: and according to that backfiring you needed to use a different rune. So got that "curse" type backfiring: and I used a mind rune.. This went into the door: but when I click on the door again 3 elite guards spawn and I get hit for 35 + get poisoned... What am I doing wrong?
  5. Well the end of the devious mind (! - not sure, it's the quest where you need to smith a special mithril 2h, 65 smithing needed) quest there's a loose end: The thief is clearly from the eastern lands, and returned to his home: and it's said that you will hunt him later!
  6. lol not really actually: Chrome is pretty usefull for runescape! - It's MADE for application which run inside browser (JAVA applications like the google office suit, or runescape). Since it (currently) is the only browser that supports/handles multiple threads correctly (1 for each tab) it's won't crash as fast: and it's able to use your full computer instead of only 1 processor (core).. I myself use firefox since I like the countless number of addons there!
  7. Well it used to be that you couldn't get holiday rewards after the holiday: but these days JAGEX gives everything to everyone....... So just wait till next year and you'll get it.
  8. Are you the person who bought black hide for max?? I wouldn't say that is risky. I would say that is stupidity. And TBH, there is no risk if you just buy and sell at medium. I don't think market can change fast enough for you to lose money. Still it's nowhere near as a good as earlier.. Well I personally hate those "trading" things: I always want SOME experience.. I found mining pess very good at low levels: especially with the current prices 200k/h is possible!
  9. NICE! - what about the herblore requirement though? (which is currently harder)
  10. This is one of Jagex' anti bot measures: slowly you real map (minimap stays in the same direction) "moves" and jiggles.. - You just found an "extreme" point..
  11. I believe you can combine invisible and visible boosters...? (anyway, 62-63 I get with the current seeds I have already). MTK takes soo dang long before you finally have enough seeds (like a month).... I always try to do the quest before a guide pops up. (and I've been able to do so for the last 2 years)
  12. Well since it's very, very much impossible to buy seeds atm, I was wondering: For that new quest would it be possible to use a garden pie and a stranger plant to up my farming lvl (would give me 6 levels)?
  13. It's the secret smithing room from the mithril dragon cave!
  14. Well if the same thing happens with both firefox and IE (the runescape client), it's probably not a browser related problem.. Though there are a few shared spaces (like bookmarks, and other user settings). Noscript will probably safe the day here: but it won't FIX the problem, will probably just hide it. What I wonder what exactly happens: You mean that there's some "parts" that display the wrong site? - Could you post a picture/explain what parts? If it's the "advertisement bar, the bar just above the bar, than it really means there's a dns/routing problem. That part of the website is an Iframe (back to "advert.runescape.com") and so this part gets routed to the scam site...
  15. THANKS but thats for WARPED terrorbirds, which don't even drop the bone piece (I have killed about 50 of those aswell) Also, if you have ever tried to kill warped terrorbirds without a chime you would know that what happens is nothing like what I described. You just hit zeros on them and they wail damages on you. Whats happening here is that I can no longer even attack the monster and it is attacking me back but not even hitting zeros. PS you also need to use the chime on a warped terrorbird before even attacking it so you are able to damage it, its not like killing a gargoyle w rock hammer. Uhm seems to me like a very large case of lag.. (Well monster not dieing/delayed dieing is caused here a lot by lag).. Try using a different world?
  16. uhm that seems like a browser hack, what happens is that basically your browser is set up so that it "bookmarks" a certain word (in this case "runescape.com") to another site. This shouldn't be done automatically (or at least, without user confirmation), so something must be wrong (but you figured THAT out already didn't you  ). Is that 'bookmark' you use, coming from IE or from firefox - what version? If it's IE, do you have activeX enabled? (wow disabling it doesn't even work) Most generic (and only) advice I can give you atm is to use firefox, and to update to the latest version. Other than that: well if something like this happens to firefox the easiest thing to do is to reinstal it completely: and/or reset everything in the about:config to it's default option.... But with IE I have no clue how to actually reinstal it without storing the settings. Well if it's on your laptop happening too: seems to me that there's a DNS problem.. Try going to: http://168.75.183.51/ If this works it's definatelly a DNS problem, you could set up your PC to use 1.1.1.2 as dns server...
  17. Stop bumping lol: just be happy it worked a few weeks ago! Probably an update to their firewall filters...
  18. fastest willows aren't at barbabrians assault lol, the "new" bank from the rocking out quest (near the customers office south of rimmington) is much better! Well for money they're best from the moment you can cut them (use lleytia). xp wise they're never a good option.... Also after 82, combined with ancients magics the wildy spawn is very good (giving near-yew-like xp rates)
  19. hmm might do that: if I can find a world where games are still played (actually really liked that minigame, probably my second most favourite minigame, after barbarian assault). But what about my second question (about farmer payments)
  20. Welll it's not so much as what is better: it's what I'm limited to! - I'm doing runecrafting in the "wait time", and it's lunar magic is needed there! On another note: what kind of paying should I do? I know paying for fruit trees is pretty much "needed" - and for yew trees it's a waste of money: but what about maples, should I pay for those?
  21. boarding schools? Guess you don't have permission over the router then: and my best bet is the router firewall just blocked rs.. Best talk with your ICT..
  22. Well this is a small question: I'm planning to do a bit of farming (to 71 I guess) and I'm wondering: how can I get everywhere? The problem is, I'm on lunars (doing ZMI while farming), and only 79 magic! (so the only 2 remotely usefull teleports, fishing guild and catherby, aren't accessible yet). Mostly tablets will help me out enough, however there are a few cases: -tree north of gnome village, is it shorter with ourania, or with gnome trees/elkoy? -lumbridge: well got no idea how to get there effectively (tele tab to lumby, or glory to draynor, or..?) -trollheim herb patch - Guess that 1 is impossible/too much trouble to get to? My run looks like this now: (*) bank =) skill necklace to fishing guild (-) PATCH =) tele tablet to varock (-) normal tree in caxtle =) tele with tree to gnome village (-) fruit tree north (-) normal tree south (*) bank =) tele with tree to tree gnome vilage, elkoy tele to north of vilage (-) fruit tree =) tele to lletya (crystal) (-) fruit tree =) tele to falador (TELETABLET?) (-) Normal tree =) CW teleport (ring) (*) Bank =) log to taverly (-) normal tree =) tele to lumbridge (TELETABLET?) (-) normal tree =) explorer ring (-) PATCH =) gloves to karamja (*) bank =) cart to brimhaven (-) fruit tree =) boat to catherby (-) PATCH (*) bank (-) Fruit tree =) ecto teleport (-) PATCH =) trollheim????
  23. +you provide a lot less of headaches for programmers! (really, did you ever try to get a game you made yourself working on vista?) However if you disable all that visual crap on VISTA, and a game uses a FULL SCREEN directX window VISTA has 1 advantage: it is able to "shutdown" itself partly so that more resources can go to the game itself. That being said: VISTA uses a lot of RAM just for being there.. (why the hell does it need 1gb?). So I doubt it will really pass XP performance wise even though it has some good ideas in it!
  24. How is it? It's a design mistake: not a bug at all.. And people who use design mistakes to their advantage are clever not stupid at all! - Just do it yourself till Jagex designs the game a bit different! (ie: trading stuff to someone would let that person loose points as if he took it from the home base). Other than that: what's the point in points? Really 240k is needed for the whole set, you can only buy 1 morphic tool/game so a standard 20k/game is nice. And without bug abusing earning 80k is easily: so only 240/60 = 4 games are needed for a full set.. An average day gives this easily! That said: the rewards are lame and waaay to easy to get: they look kewl, but since they're so easy there's no "ooooh" feeling for it anymore already. Everyone just can get it!
