1. It's alright... Not amazing... [*:1u3wie5a] Bad text placement. You have empty space in the top right, use that? [*:1u3wie5a] Bad font choice. Graffiti fonts look really bad on signatures. Why does it have a stroke on it? [*:1u3wie5a] Brushing is random and has little contrast. Nothing stands out, nothing catches my eye - that's baaaad. [*:1u3wie5a] Bland colours. This is because of the render, choose one with more colour. [*:1u3wie5a] Little blending. The only real blending is because of the colours around the head. The hands aren't blended at all. [*:1u3wie5a] Shouldn't be selling signatures, I will not be surprised if a mod removes it. Ignorance is bliss, right brad?
2. Welcome aboard the S.S. Tip. This is Captain Cadburys_Egg speaking. Would all hostages please be quiet and stop screaming "LET ME OUT OF HERE YOU BUNCH OF CRAZY NUTCAKES". Thank you.
3. Have you tried going to http://www.maplestory.com and clicking Global from there? If not, I recommend to clear your cache/history. It may just be taking you there from it's history.
4. You should be able to get there via C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents If not, just move the file somewhere else.
5. Same story as above, Planetrenders.net doesn't allow hotlinking. Give the page URL instead.
6. Well according to their official website, it can model, animate and render. It's the same program they use to create Jimmy Neutron. If you think about it, an animation is a bunch of images just one after the other. If a program can animate, chances are they can make the image aswell.
7. Oh, you're assuming that we share the same type of tastebuds as cows? Do you wonder why some people like certain foods and some don't? All animals have different taste preferances. Rabbits eat their own droppings, would you like to test to see if we share their taste buds? ;) Enough of anything will make you throw up. Go eat about 10kg of flour, that should make you sick. :P Dogs eat grass because it helps them clean their bowels. Basically it's to detoxify their system, which is why they eat it when they have been sick. It's not just a weird thing that your dog does, mine does it too.
8. I'm assuming he uses the same program(s) for each piece.
9. Maybe because they have 4 stomachs?
10. Uhh, I can control each of my toes individually. Apart from that, i'm double jointed in pretty much all of my joints. Meaning I can completely twist around my arm and legs.
11. Worst. font. ever. Pixel fonts are meant for small text. I'll only use the Victors Pixel Font for your subtext, i'll use something else for your name. That is unless you want a specific, non-pixel font for your name. Also, can you give me a link to the viewing page of the render? And not the direct link to the image? Because Planetrenders.net doesn't allow hotlinking.
12. *tear runs down face* I grew up with that movie. :3>
13. Nope. Megakiller32: Non-Transparent. Transparent. Take your pick. :P
14. i did...... No you didn't. First of all, the link to the image is Imageshack. That isn't a render site. Second of all, it has a black background. That's usually ok, but the actual character is black/dark grey. So when I make a selection it cuts into the render.
15. Nah, that wasn't a render. It had a gradient background which meant when I used a selection tool it cut into the figure. Working on this now. Nope. Go to a website that I have listed under Render Sites and get an image from there.
16. You both fail. Want to know why? Re-read my defintion of a render.
17. This may sound like advertising and no, i'm not getting paid for this. *hides sack of money* But have any of you DDR'ers heard of a game called O2 Jam? It's pretty much DDR but with a keyboard and online. If you like rhythm keeping games like DDR, it's well worth a look. Sadly, I do suck at dancing. Which evidently helps with my DDR skills.
18. Heheh, it doesn't even need to be intelligent. :P You could ask the radius of the pie I currently hold, not that you'd know I have a pie. But really, even if it's just a bit of jargon busting - not many people know that GIMP stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program. :P As for tips, it seems as though most of your signatures are picture-based or just completely random (ergo, the fractals). The best thing you can do is attempt to make a signature that isn't random and manually done (not necessarily with default brushes/settings etc.). Using gradients and setting them to overlay can get be a good start to creating flow and attracting the eye to particular places. But if you want to improve using your current techniques, learn to use the contrast/brightness, curves, levels and colour balance. I say this because at the moment your images look very bleak and flat, increasing contrast (to a certain level) can help bring colours to life. Curves/levels do more complicated things and are harder to explain, but they are well worth learning. Still, i'm always open for question answering. Happy . :)
19. Snapcakes, that's awesome! I'm so using this to practice. :D
20. Lego. :( They make the stupid things so hard to pull apart, so I used my teeth. Next thing I knew, I was choking on a bloody lego piece. Either that or a chunk of deodorant. Ugh, Old Spice is right!
21. I can't find my old topic from here, so i'm starting a new one. Around TIF and other forums (here's a shout to GU :P) I am a notorious abstract graphics maker. Some have said i'm one of the best here, but i'm not egotistical so i'll let you decide. Indeed, here be examples. This is a small majority of all of my signatures. (3 out of 43 to be exact.) Please be patient with your order. Anywho, fill out this form for a signature: (Copy and paste) Abstract/Grunge (Remove the one you don't want.) Name: Quote/Subtext: Font: (URL) Size: (Max is 450x175x30kb) Render: (URL or picture, just let it be a render) If you just say "w/e looks best" or "something nice" for your font choice, i'll just use a basic font like Arial/Verdana. Simple as that. 22. Atleast I didn't get eaten. :P I don't know, I wouldn't put it beyond bubs : What, so he ate my drowned body? :P
23. Atleast I didn't get eaten. :P
24. As am I, feel free to PM me any graphics-related questions, i'm not as thick as I sound :P. I'm working on a few tutorials at the moment, which may intrest some people.
25. The first image doesn't look very 3D, it looks just bevelled and embossed. It could just be the angle or lighting though. The second image is a nice idea, but it's quite simple. It mainly involves filters such as spherise and 3D transform. The layout of it is very good though, looks authentic - except for the DVD-ROM thing. I haven't seen a PS2 game cover with that on it. ;) Keep working though. :)
