  1. It could well be, but it looks very much like trees on the far left, fading to snow in the middle and going back to trees on the right.
  2. Anyone heard of them? I only heard of them recently but I really like their songs. If you're into indie bands like Arctic Monkeys and Franz Ferdinand, you are going to really like The Fratellis. Have a listen to some of their songs: Creeping Up The Back Stairs (Ignore the video on this one ^_^;) So... discuss?
  3. ...of a polar bear? [/lost referece]
  4. ...I don't see many manipulations. All you've done is applied a filter. :? The "To Be" is just an invert. The Plant is just a rotate and a filter. (Oh, and a crop) The last one you've just upped the contrast and cropped it. :-s
  5. - Feather the render. Or atleast blend it some more. - Text is illegible, change it. - Did you make the background? It just looks like an image. :? - Needs a definitive border, 1px black is fine. Actually, it's harder to work without them. Most of my works have atleast 20 layers and the layer settings and blending options do most of the work. Without layers I, and no one else, would be able to achieve the effects we do.
  6. Chris drives like my brother, only slower. ;)
  7. Fine, but you asked for a rating - which I gave you. You aren't going to get any better of a response then what I have given. Did you expect everyone to look at it and fall in love with it? I'm not going to butter up my response, or purposely make it sound like it's horrible and for you to go die, i'm just telling you straight - learn to take criticism.
  8. 1/10 for appropriate text. First? That doesn't matter. You could've read some tutorials, practiced a few times and then posted one. Never busy? So you don't put much effort into them? If that's the case, why post?
  9. What do you plan to do then?
  10. Why is it that everyone who listens to Green Day are like "Oh yeah, I like Green Day. IM SUCH A UNIQUE PERSON DONT HATE ME!!!1111". Anyways, You're on fire! - The Bravery.
  11. Whoa, he did put text on it. Better not over-react now.
  12. Sod rune.
  13. That's it. - It's too big. - It's just some images with text. That's it.
  14. Chelsea Dagger - The Fratellis.
  15. Err... - Random brushing. Good to start out with, but... just looks... well, random. - Bad choice of colours (in my opinion). Dark watery blue to an undersaturated purple? - Font is fitting, but is hard to read. Should've put it over a black spot, there's about 5 of them and yet you put it in the corner. Text doesn't have to be in the corner - especially over brushing. Overall, it just seems to random.
  16. 1. It's called ASCII art. 2. What is it?
  17. It's always bloody tomorrow in Australia.
  18. You can't just "tone down the blur" without re-doing the whole thing. Which I really don't want to do. (Just so you know, I could - I still have to PSD to use.)
  19. You could make that into some serious bling ya know. :-$
  20. This is great for people who want userbars, but is it really necessary? It doesn't take much work from GIMP, PS or Paint.NET to achieve a userbar. Especially since there are websites like userbarmaker.com aswell. Meh.
  21. They're good for firsts, but you lack blending, good colouring and font choices. Feather your renders a bit, it'll help it too look more blended. Choose the colours from your render, this will also help it blend. Choose fonts accordingly, the halo text with the woman signature... doesn't work a bit. All pretty good for firsts, though. Oh, and when you do a reflected text, make sure the reflection has a slight gradient so it "fades off" at the bottom edge.
  22. I'm now hooked because of you lot, I hope you're happy. :(
  23. Well I know I blurred it a tad too much, but I can't do a lot about that now. Text? I'm still open to ideas. Just saying "oh it needs work" doesn't help me. I want to get the look of it just floating like clouds, not sticking out. It looks simple I agree, but there's about 15 layers in it. Mainly just some blurring and layer settings but also some brushing layers. You can't measure how good a piece of work is by how simple/difficult it looks. It's down to the artist themself really. That was no more helping than that rating really. If you don't like it, tell me what I could do to improve it.
  24. The censor hath doth ownedeth you.
  25. What should I do for text then? I can't install fonts so i'm stuck with defaults. All I want of the text is to have my mark on it and the word "Uniquity". A cursive font seems most natural to me. THat'll just be where I have sharpened the image, then it gets a bit worse with my compression. Nothing I can do about that really.
