no, he made those with photoshop... this is what you can make with gimp... Why do people see GIMP as a handicap in the graphics creating biz? You just put the image on a background and applied a filter. :? (and a yellow brush over the eye) And FYI, that isn't a photo manip. ;)

That's probably the worst time to study, I usually study or do work when I get back from school. My mind is still active from the school day and I can easily concentrate on the work at hand. A little music never hurt. If I am getting information for work, I copy and paste into a document and then manually copy into my book. That way i'm reading it twice and more likely to stick in my mind ( the document also spell checks :') ).

I thought it looked quite runey but maybe if i need a bit more turquoise i could do that, if i actually fix anything on this at all. And are battleaxes one handed? Been ages since i've looked at anything runescape or medieval. I was going to put it on a wooden table I just couldn't be bothered and didn't have the time, might do that but I'm much pre-occupied by doing other models and stuff. Program i'm using is Blender. takes quite a while to learn the interface and it was my first real step into 3d, been doing it for a couple of months maybe a bit more. Yeah, rune is slightly more turquoisey. Axes in RS are one-handed, but in the medieval ages it could be either one-handed (shorter handle and smaller blade) or two-handed (longer handle and larger blade).

What other MMORPG's do you play? * Runescape - Not very often though. * Thang Online - Combat is so slow for a magician starting out, but nice graphics. * Supreme Destiny - Good graphics, very easy to level and very much like Diablo. * Maplestory - Chibi, 2D graphics. Repetitive gameplay, but a nice community. * O2 Jam - 3D, lobby based music MMO. Unlike any other MMO i've played. Great community, fun and easy to get hold of game with some really nice songs. What's your Favorite MMORPG? Probably O2 Jam. Just due to it's uniquity. Takes little time to play, ideal for quick breaks. Main problem with it is due to the fact you need to manually download extra songs.

Looks great Lemon, you haven't posted in a while have you? :P The colour looks a bit off to be rune, more of a mithril. Handle looks a little long to be a single-handed axe though. Could you do a version on a wooden table? I don't like 3D things on shiny/reflective surfaces. It never looks too viable to happen in real life. (Not that many people have a battleaxe, not that I know of anyway.) Other than that, it's a nice axe. I should get a 3D program and try something, what program do you use?

Generally the idea of a border is to have a definative end, usually a colour like black or white. But I can see why you may want different. What I sometimes do is a 50% outer glow, white set to overlay. Or you can just pick a close colour to the background/render and do a second stroke.

So that's not a complete different post to mine? I'm sure he didn't cut off the render himself, it was probably the image/render he got it from. How can a 1px black not fit? It's so basic, it has to work really.

Not that I know of, it's pretty easy to make a planet in Photoshop, as I have already posted a link to a very good tutorial. It's probably near enough the same as in Paint.NET.

Oh man, big no-no. First rule of pop-out sigs; never used a render that is cut off. (The top of his head and right side). - Match colours. Why red BG yet blue render? - BG needs more contrast. - BG needs more saturation. - BG needs more colour variation, looks very flat. - I assume because you put WIP in that font you were planning on using that font? Don't. It's a very rounded/cutesy render, use an appropriate font. - Border should be on top of everything except the top of the pop-out render.

At the moment it really depends what approach you want to take this. At the moment the shark looks really nice, it's a sort of cartoony feel to it. Now if you wanted a more realistic version, Terley provided a good example. His has a feeling of rough/rigidness and feels more 3D. The water is the main thing that could do with some work. It looks very gradiented and not too realistic. (Doesn't look too clean either :-$)

You do understand what hypocrit means, right? Not empty: (creds to Flamer) There is almost nil blank space. Empty: Only about 1/3rd of this signature has anything in it. If you want to get more pedantic, I haven't called you a hypocrit in this thread. I gave you perfectly viable CC in my first post. Wow, GIMP is nothing like PS. :lol: Paint.Net is supposed to be a whole lot close to Photoshop. From the look of it GIMP has maybe 1/6th the amount of tools.

If you are using an LCD screen you should be able to see it if you "look down" on the signature, alternatively just place the signature at the bottom of the screen. I'm not always down your neck, last time I responded to any of your posts was in Flamer's topic. You called her signature empty, to which I called you hypocritical and then you post this. What's "pish" is this some new slang, intended to offend me? You haven't tried anything new though, lately all of your signatures are some C4Ds with a render. I understand you are blending and changing them, but it's still the same principle. Whenever did I say I didn't like you? Honestly, you just overreact the moment someone says they don't like something you've made. You wanted CC, I gave you CC. This is the point at which you grow up. As far as I know, Terragen has no plug-ins. He also explained how he did it; ;) Possibly using this tutorial. (Or one similiar)

Yeesh, and you called Flamer's signature empty. -.- - Text is pretty much illegible. - Nothing on the right side. - Random rounded corners ftw? No. I don't like it. It's too same-old, same-old. Move away from full C4D signatures, they always look the same.

Just had to say that that is an awesome picture. It'll certainly help my geographical skills, I only recognise flags. :P Random, but helpful I must say.

A feather of 50px? You'll have nothing left. Most of that post didn't make a whole lot of good grammar or English. Also be sure to use correct measurements, not just "at like 10". 10 what? Camels? I won't critque anything as of this post, I will however later.

*incoming pedant alert* He isn't claiming that he made the images, he has just put them together. He hasn't stolen anything. Now, if he had claimed that he made them, including the pictures that is "stealing" or "ripping" their graphics. But yes, put a border on them, maybe some text. But really, just some screenshots doesn't make for a very good signature.

Fine. I hate google because whenever someone wants to find something out they say "I'm gonna go google *blank*" It gets on my nerves because for one thing "google" is not a verb and there are plenty of other search engines that work just as well. I also hate google for buying youtube even if they don't make any changes, it reminds of other places (wal-mart) that just take over all smaller buisnesses, or drive them out of buisness.
