The Alpha Blog - 91/99 Pray
Hammertime replied to alphakoldes's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
I think I know why that picture is so cool. and I like how I'm the last to be notified. Thanks. I'm going to have to, unfortunately, be mooching off your arma trips soon too just as soon as i complete some goals, and well... you know how that goes. Oh and i guess i should add a gl in here somewhere? EDIT: forgot a period. thought you might wanna know. :-w -
This is officially my biggest, and most time consuming rs accomplishment. EDIT: Just noticed jagex spells it 'defense' on the stat screen and 'defence' on the level message  100% legit. Started playing in march '01. I've been working combat on classic for the past 18 months or so from where i left off with the release of rs2. Starting stats were 98 str 95 att and 85 defence and something like 93 hp. Rate/hate

Tormented Demon Drop Changes - (04-December-2008)
Hammertime replied to Red_Tanya's topic in General Discussion
I'm glad the drops have been changed, but I'm also disappointed that jagex has still not learned that with the way the ge is set up, these minor mistakes on their part send the market spiraling in weird directions and when everything they release requires some kind of fix within the next few weeks (pvp, demons, the g.e. itself, etc...) it just outlines the flaws in the economy and the way it is policed. It's a downward spiral that I honestly believe will ruin the game in the long run. -
20, I started at 14 though and I only log in now to pk. I think that you will realize if you do start back, that your view of runescape is still from the perspective of the younger you that started the game years ago. if you still find it as fun and enjoyable as you did back then (whether for the same reasons or not) I say by all means continue your adventure. But if you, like myself, find the 'adventure' just not as entertaining, and the pvp features less than satisfactory, then just keep your time in runescape as a happy memory. I can say as a father myself (mine turned 1 in sept) that runescape becomes very hindering because of the time required and it may just not be a priority in the coming future. All it boils down to is you getting back into the game for a few weeks and 'testing the waters' as they say, to gain your own opinion. Then when you are all settled in with your new faimily, re-ask yourself this very question

Hallelujah!! It has arrived! Grats kiddo -
Runescape will probably start to regain alot of its players once the pvp worlds are released. I dont think people realise how many accounts were given up when pking was removed, pures and mains alike. The upcoming pvp update will be a turning point for jagex because they have been lacking in customer support and general content for a good while now. summoning and the new hd graphics have been a good starting point, I only hope they follow suit and make pvp a respectable update so they can continue to help runescape grow even more in the future. As for how far it will grow, no one can say but ill bet jagex will come up with some clever ways of advertising and getting the game known

First off, i was only unbanned 10 days ago  and I'm only posting this because i don't plan on 99'ing mage anytime in the near future, plus i wanted all spells before pvp lvls 1-89 were in classic, 89-94 was ice bursted in the bandits bar shortly after release of DT, 94-95 was from pking and i spent the past nine or ten hours alching for this final level. rate/hate

im sure that if you use your calculations you'll see that the 15% prayers drain at 9.99 or 10 points per minute. This being said, the 5% prayer will give the same ammount of stat boosting time as the 15% prayer will while using the same ammount of prayer points. its all preference really, to have the same xp in a shorter time with a faster drain rate, or the same xp over a more stretched out period, without having to check on your prayer as often. Also, I'm pretty sure jagex made sure not to give any one prayer an advantage over another.

I like the damage reduction aspect of these shields, It's a clever way to give the players the high strength bonuses and hits they desire, without messing with the hp cap. Gj jagex :

2nd of September 2008: Distractions and Diversions
Hammertime replied to Were's topic in General Discussion
After reading the above I thought that this would be an alternative to the grind fest that most skills are now, I am thoroughly disappointed. -.- Also, has anyone tried that sheep in lumbridge with the penguin under it that has been in the game for years? just makes me wonder how long they have been planning this update. -
I'll definately be posting on this thread when he decides to unlock it, it seems that there are a few too many posters at the moment. I'm going to hold off on getting excited just yet though as I dont know the extent of their leniancy.
