  1. Actually, the rules don't say you can't have newspapers brought to you. I don't think news would be too much of a problem. In fact, now that I think about it, the rules don't say you can't use a pen and paper to correspond to people in the outside world. At least, I don't think it says you can't. If you can use pen and paper to talk to people outside of the environment you're in, the 20 years would be a lot easier.
  2. I know I;ve already mentioned it, but just to drive my point home: I have 3 days to finish 3 projects, one a power point and 2 page paper on Vladimir Lenin for ROTC, one for Driver's Ed, and..another for Driver's Ed :| .Yea, 2 for one class. And a paper on the French revolution for History due the 10th. Haven;t started any yet. Most of my projects are last-minute, no, all actually, and it really needs to stop. Same story with me. I've got a major project for this class called ACT (American Culture and Thought). It's so huge that just about everyone in the school knows about it. Teachers and students alike. The thing is pretty much a binder that, if done correctly, will be stuffed six inches thick with different things about my family's history. Haven't started it and it's due here in the next two or so weeks. I also have the most ridiculous and complicated chemistry project. Not complicated because of the subject, but complicated because the teacher that wrote it must've been smoking something. I could've written a better project. It's due next Friday. Next, I have a take home Calculus final. Normally, a take home test would seem easy. Though my teacher knows that and decided to make the thing consist of the most difficult twenty problems he could come up with. It's also due next Friday. Finally, I have auditions for all-state this Friday. I was auditioned well enough to make it from the region level to the area level and now I get to go audition for state. I haven't practiced much and it's going to kill me. Needless to say, procrastination sucks. /rant
  3. I'm jealous. Japanese food is amazing. Anyway, it's finally 2008 here in Fort Worth, Texas.
  4. It's 2008 for my home town and state. Though I'm here in Texas now so I still have an hour. Happy New Years everyone!
  5. Door A. I never get tired of books. It might be kind of hard to keep sane for those twenty years but at least I'd be alive.
  6. Because in stand up comedy to a family audience, penis isn't funny. Most comedians use alternate names for things like that to add a different flare to their comedy. It's all opinion though. Anyway, my favorite comedians: Brian Regan Dane Cook Christ Titus Jeff Dunham Jim Gaffigan
  7. Foo Fighters Incubus Muse Streetlight Manifesto The Eagles
  8. Yeah. It took me a while to get those. I always use my middle and ring or my my index and middle fingers to do them. My pinky cant move that fast either. Also, if they're slow, I usually try to do them with one strum at the beginning. If you're not getting them though, try strumming fast and alternating fingers as close as you can to match the song.
  9. I haven't tried One on expert yet. I got to the set, beat Number of the Beast and failed Cliffs of Dover. I decided not to work on One or Raining Blood until I'm done with Cliffs of Dover. I haven't spent much time on it though.
  10. I just joined. At least, the request was sent.
  11. Keep up the straight A's that I've gotten in the first half of this school year. I'm in 10th grade and I haven't made straight A's all year since like 5th. I always get one or two B's that screw me up. Other than that, I just want 2008 to be as good for me as 2007 was from June on. My 10th grade year has been amazing.
  12. I've five starred all but four career songs on hard. I don't know if I'll ever be able to five star One or Raining Blood. I should be able to get Number of the Beast and Knights of Cydonia soon. On a side note, Mosh 1 is so flipping hard on expert.
  13. Same. Had it for two years now. I really want a new phone.
  14. I finally did Cult of Personality on expert. My first time beating it and I got four stars. Now I'm on the last set. I beat Number of the Beast but can't get past the fast solos on One or mosh 1 on Raining Blood. Cliffs of Dover isn't too hard. I just need to practice it slowly for a while.
  15. You're so cool. I hope someday I can be a jerk to people I don't even know someday.
  16. I played the first Guitar Hero today. It seemed easier but harder at the same time. The overall difficulty was easier but hammer-ons are so much harder to do.
  17. I don't see a way to prove it. With what you have to work with, you can't find the lengths of AB, AE, or AD because you have no idea how far A is from the center.
  18. Next gen xbox and wii will compete with next gen playstation, not playstation 3. The only reason why xbox sold more consoles than ps3 is because it was released a lot earlier, many people already got themselves an xbox and there was no point of buying another console. If they were released at the same date, ps3 would surely beat xbox 360. Not only that, but xbox 360 breaks a lot more often (RROD, anyone?), my friend is on his third one, while my other friend is still on his first ps3. First off, I don't think it would be fair to say that the PS3 would've beaten the 360 if they were released at the same time. PS3, at release, had a price-tag that was pretty unreasonable for people who don't have a ton of money to spare. It also wouldn't have taken long for people to realize that the exclusive list for 360 was superior (in my opinion and the opinion of a lot of people I know, at least) to that of the PS3. The PS3 is still not good. It has the potential to be good but not much more than the potential of the 360. It has good hardware and graphics but I don't really care about that. I want good games. The 360 gives me that. The PS3 doesn't and probably won't for a while. Secondly, I hate it when people say the 360 breaks a lot. The fact of the matter is, if you took care of it, it wouldn't. I don't know anyone in real life that has had a 360 that's broken. If we're going to go on the two person survey here: Friend #1: My friend Bryan bought a 360 the day it came out. Used it all the time. Obsessively. He has fifty to sixty games and 50,000+ gamerscore. His 360 still works perfectly today. Friend #2: Davey. Also got his 360 the day it came out. He was rather careless with it. He was taking it to a friends house in a cheap gift bag and it fell onto concrete. Albeit the drop was not too long, it still survived. It also still works today.
  19. You may be more successful now but the guy who retakes the class will eventually be more successful in life. Unless he just doesn't care, in which case, both of you are stupid. But yeah, who's smarter, the guy who cheated and passed but knows almost nothing or the guy who fails, retakes the class, learns the information and actually knows something. I'll take the honest guy that knows something over you any day.
  20. I'll be playing GH:III up through Christmas and I'll either be getting CoD:4 and Assassin's Creed for Christmas or I'll be buying them with money I get. I might run through Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess or Ocarina of Time just for fun.

It's almost Christmas and it's supposed to be shorts and t-shirt weather on Wednesday.
  22. I agree. However, he does balance it out some by adding GTA4 to the list for PS3 but no to the 360 list.
  23. Best YouTube video ever: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=561170
  24. Yeah, Mosh 1 is ridiculously easy once you actually get the hang of it. I failed it all the time but then one day I got it and I've been able to get it every time since then.
  25. I guess this is where the root of our difference in opinions is. I, unlike you, value campaign above all and I can live on campaign. The best games of all time never had multiplayer so why should great games today be judged harshly because of a lack of multiplayer? You're right, as Nadril said, a lot of the features were similar to that of System Shock albeit better, but what games today aren't similar in some way to previous games? I can only think of a few. Although I love the Halo series, it is just another man vs. alien with lots of guns. Though it is a very good one, Call of Duty 4 is just another war game. BioShock, though, is new. The whole plot and environment is new. Features are similar to some old games but just about everything else is new.
