  1. I read about this the other day. From what I read, the girl is a pretty upbeat girl and is taking this whole thing pretty well. Her neighbor said that she is already talking about writing a book on the whole experience. Not sure if the book will be good or anything but at least it shows that she's not burying herself in grief and sorrow or anything. Also, she may not get much money but one would think that she could at least get enough money to pay for medical bills and other fees resulting from the accident.
  2. I finally learned how also a few months ago. My best time is about 2 minutes. I could do it faster if I took the time to learn a more efficient way of doing it. Efficient ways are so much harder though.
  3. Just relax. The best advice I've gotten was from a distinguished alumni from my high school who came and gave a speech. He basically told us to just relax. He said that he didn't know what he wanted to do until he was halfway through college and that's when he decided to become an architect. Just focus on what you're good at. If you're exceptional at math, then go into college with your mind set on a career in math. Don't worry about what that career is going to be exactly. For that, you can get help from teachers or guidance counselors who can analyze your strengths and set you in the right direction. For now, though, just worry about getting good grades and trying to find what you're good at.
  4. Another intellectual discussion on the forums. Anyway, my eyes are bluish-gray.
  5. I support it. I love Harry Potter but that's not why I support it. I support it because it will make other people happy. It will be another place where people can go to have fun. I mean why should any of us complain about the corporate giants who will make money off of this? Of course they are. That doesn't mean we should all stop going to places like these. We pay to have fun. They make money. So what? We still have fun.
  6. Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. I prefer Japan but if the translation thing is true, it's pretty unfair.
  7. I'm surprised no one has mentioned how cheesy the guy in the video is. Anyway, on a more on-topic note, this is pretty cool. I'll love to see this when it's further on in its stages.

    Smoking

I don't see a point in smoking but if someone wants to smoke, that is their right. The only thing that bugs me about some smokers, is that they blatantly ignore nonsmokers and we get stuck with secondhand smoke. I'm not saying all smokers are like this, just some.
  9. I would say wait until you get your 360 for Live. The cost is only about 60 some dollars a year if you pay in full for that year so it is very cheap and definitely worth it.
  10. I'm right in the middle which is where I prefer to be. Being too optimistic makes you way too disappointed when you lose at something but being too pessimistic can make you depressed. Neutral is the best in my opinion. It's just well balanced.
  11. Why does every thread about any console get turned into a console war thread? Forget discussing the point that the thread creator brought up or even answering to his post. Let's all just talk about why the PS3 pwns (which it doesn't). Anyway, my friend was being extremely stupid and when he decided to bring his 360 over to a friends, he put it in a gift bag. Long story short, the gift bag broke outside of the house and the 360 did this slow-motion fall to the ground. We plug it in to find the 3 flashing lights of doom. He got exchanged for free and had a new 360 pretty fast. For the most part, if you take care of your 360 it's not going to die. There definitely is a higher rate of failure for the console than for PS3 but, in my opinion, the pros still outweigh the cons of the 360 versus PS3. All in all, it still boils down to opinion.
  12. I can make my arm twist almost 360 degrees and then bend my elbow which makes it look broken.
  13. I love this game but I never really felt like buying it. Anyway, I think my favorite song is Less Talk, More Rokk by Freezepop. So much fun. As for hardest, I would say Jordan but I'm not sure about songs you can download from the Microsoft Marketplace.
  14. No, it's my fault, I worded it badly. But anyways, it was a legit question, anyone know the answer? I know FireFox doesn't call "learnt" a word, but then again they didn't call "should've" a word either. :? They also don't call "inbox" a word. FireFox isn't the smartest web browser out there, I guess.
  15. The Worthing Saga by Orson Scott Card.
  16. Pretty nice for experiments. I know creating landscapes can be really hard. I have a question, though. How does Bryce compare to TerraGen?
  17. Ooh, I'd love to see someone just try and accuse me of ripping. First of all, you can look in the bottom-left corner of the sig and see an "NO" which would stand for my name. If anyone else has this sig, they're the rippers, not me. At Weeb, thanks. I haven't really gotten anything completed. I just quit halfway through but summer is almost here and I'm going to start completing things even if they do suck.
  18. There are tons of research groups going into cancer and AIDS. Just because there are many major diseases/illnesses out there doesn't mean scientists should drop everything and go study those. Discoveries like this can help link different things that are important also. By the way, I guarantee that all those major illnesses are receiving a fair amount of medical research.
  19. Hahaha, I had some kid fall for that once. I relished for like 5 seconds as he held his hand up to his face and went "How's it look?" before I slammed him in the face. Hilarious. I think this is BS. I have really long fingers and I don't think I'd get a 1600 on an SAT, still. ;) Another kid I know has FREAKISHLY long fingers and he'd get like a 2. Seriously, he's stupid. I don't think it said that people with longer fingers will do better on the test. It just said that if your ring finger is longer than your index, you'll probably do better on math than on verbal and vice versa. That rule is true for my friend Abi and I. She has a longer index finger than ring and did better on writing but I have a longer ring finger and I did great on math. This was the PSAT but still. My scores for the PSAT were: 500 on Critical Reading 730 on Math 530 on Writing Skills My total was a 1760 which is pretty good considering I'm only a freshman.
  20. I've learned to be careful about who I go out with. My last girlfriend could've been spawned from hell for all I know. Three months into the relationship and I realize I'm in a freaking prison. Took me three more months to get out.
  21. Nah. A background wouldn't work with the negative space and the negative space draws attention to the focal point. I'm glad you liked it though and thanks for the crit.
  22. To this day, LoZ is my favorite video game series. In fact, my favorite game is Ocarina of Time. I've beaten the game plenty of times and gotten 100% three different times. I never get tired of LoZ. The only sad thing is that I don't want to spend all that money on a Wii just for the Zelda series. All the other games for Nintendo are just ok in my opinion. Super Mario 64 was awesome but everything after that just sucked.
  23. I made this tag/sig a while back but recently updated it. It was just a small update but I figured I would repost to see what people thought again. Sadly, I'm having very big problems with creating another decent sig. I think I'm going to try to get back into Photoshop some this summer. I just haven't had time because of school. Anyway, what do you all think?
  24. That's hilarious. I doubt I would've done it unless I thought he were about to assault my friend but I'd love to see it.
  25. Crunchberries... Don't ask.
